spicy bulgogi potato and sweet potato pizza
    Tracy N.

This place is tucked in the corner of the Hmart food court. Parking in this plaza in general is a little crowded. Food came out pretty quick and we just sat in the food court and ate. Note that they didn't have free water here. I shared a pizza with one other person and this was too much for us and we had leftovers to bring home. The servings overall here seem pretty big so I would recommend trying to go in a group of at least 3 if you don't want leftovers The spicy bulgogi potato and the sweet potato were both really good and I would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. The bulgogi potato also had a good amount of spice for sure

We love the pizza and the chicken here. Perfect for our tastebud. Bulgogi pizza is bomb. So good. The service is fast too and it's located inside HMart.

Always a favorite. They cook their chicken wings to perfection. They're juicy and have a lot of sauce. Our go to place for chicken wings! They do not disappoint.

We got the spicy cheese chicken here for $20. The chicken pieces were crispy and not dry, but the flavor was different from what I had expected. It tasted more like a spicy cheese chicken pizza without the pizza dough than spicy cheese chicken from other Korean restaurants. It's missing the gochujang and spice, but still made for a good meal though.

We've never had Pala food before but had a good experience at another location under the previous name LL, I think in La Habra some years ago. We ordered the combo with pizza and chicken. We enjoyed the spicy Bulgogi pizza. The chicken had a good flavor and the rice cakes included were a nice surprise. One thing we were not happy with was the type and quality of chicken pieces. It was like part of the spine, and there was barely any meat on it. My suggestion is just to go with the wings and not the whole chicken pieces because they're not meaty pieces to enjoy. Several pieces were just bones and sparse meat that were not truly edible. And for the money spent, we were still a little hungry afterwards. There were three of us. We might return but so many other Korean chicken options nearby.

Love Letter Pizza & Chicken is located in the H Mart in the Diamond Jamboree Plaza. Parking can be a challenge, however, there is a parking structure in the back. There isn't an abundance of tables and seats and restrooms are in the far right corner. I had to ring the bell to get attention as there was no one in the front. Customer service wasn't exactly friendly nor was he rude, he wasn't really passionate about being there either. We placed our order for bulgogi pizza, mozzarella sticks and garlic popcorn chicken. Out of everything we ordered, the mozzarella sticks was our fave. I wouldn't crave anything else.

The sweet potato filled crust is extra but it's a must. Tbh I wish they sold just the crust with the filling. The pizza itself it thin and when you pick it up everything falls off. I tried cutting it with a knife but that was no help either. It's still yummy and I would go back. The server was nice and helpful. I would recommend calling and picking up to avoid any waiting.

This pizza is located inside H-Mart and it offers unique pizzas. On the day we visited they had special deal of half and half, so we ordered half sweet potato and half spicy bulgogi potato. The pizza was made fresh. I know because it took them 20 minutes to bring it to our table and it was steaming hot. I never had pizza like this before and they taste really good!

Finally get to try the infamous Love Letter pizza. I did not disappointment. Tried the Bulgogi and Potato pizza today and just requested "no ham" so it won't conflict with the Bulgogi flavor. The Beef was good, a little under seasoned. All the other veggies were tasty and cooked well. The special white sauce, I believe is just mayo or QP, because of its sweetness. A little out of the box for traditional pizza but love a good spin on classics. The dough was fresh and soft, well baked. The store front was a little underwhelming, but the cashier made up for it. He was friendly and gave us good recommendations. Needs a little bit of rebranding or just more simplistic decor. Looks a little cluttered and trying to give you too much information. Would def return for the pizza but not the ambiance, ate my pizza in the car as the H Mart smells like fish as soon as you come in.

If you've never tried Korean pizza, then you need to go to this place located inside H Mart in Irvine on Alton. Tried the potato and the bulgogi/potato pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. The pizzas were full of flavor and the crust is tasty. This is a must try if you've never had this type of pizza.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had! The crust was so crispy and had the perfect chewiness, and the toppings were such a good combination of sweet and savory. The pieces of bulgogi, sweet potato and veggies matched really well with the sauce. The fried chicken is also really tender and crispy. I will definitely have to come back for more!

Good pizza, great service, average wings. I tried the Spicy Bulgogi Potato Pizza and 20 wings, half hot and spicy and half soy garlic. I enjoyed the pizza! It's so different than traditional American pizza. On Asian/Korean pizza, the more toppings the better! Haha I enjoyed the corn and all the veggies on the pizza. It was also pretty spicy! I expected I was going to need to add red pepper flakes and/or sriracha, but I did bot. The crust itself felt and tasted more like bread than crust. It was pillowy and had a light bake. A pretty different take on pizza but overall tasty! I personally didn't care much for the wings. The fry on them wasn't great as the wings were soggy and the skin almost seemed gummy. The flavors of the sauces were alright but much too sweet for me. I stuck the wings in the air fryer the next day and they got a bit crispy... they were much better. Overall, I will continue to go to Bonchon or BBQ chicken for the best Korean wings. I would've rated this place 3 stars overall but the person who took my order was just so darn nice and friendly! He made me smile. He said the order would take 20-25 minutes so we walked around Hmart. To our surprise, the order was done in about 15 minutes. Overall, I'd come back for pizza but I'd skip the wings!

This past weekend my wife, my wife's younger sister, my brother-in-law, and I drove up to the Orange County Fairgrounds to meet up with my daughter, so that we can experience the OC Japan Fair for the first time. We got to the Japan Fair around 2pm and since there were an army of food vendors, we grubbed on some Japanese dishes. We ended our excursion to the Japan Fair around 7pm and decided to find a place to eat dinner. My wife wanted to indulge in some desserts and found a spot that was closeby. I'm more of a savory foodie, so I was glad that Love Letter Pizza & Chicken was next to the dessert place. The chicken from Love Letter was finger licking delicious and definitely satisfied my craving for savory. Love Letter is located in the Irvine area, specifically off of Jamboree and within a bustling, overcrowded outdoor strip mall that houses extremely popular restaurants. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar and BCD Tofu House are also located in the same center. Parking at this strip mall can be painful especially if you're visiting on the weekend during peak meal hours. Thankfully, Love Letter is one of three restaurants that can be found within the H Mart grocery store where the parking isn't as bad since it's away from the hustle and bustle. There is also a parking garage in case you have difficulty finding parking. As you enter H Mart, Love Letter is located where there is a food court towards the back. There are plenty of tables and chairs to chow down on your food. The customer service from the young Asian dude was friendly and appreciated. There are only three restaurant options inside H Mart's food court: dessert, ramen, and chicken/pizza. The ramen place was closed and I wasn't in the mood for dessert, so I gravitated towards Love Letter to satisfy my hunger. As I perused the menu, I thought their food was on the pricey side. I decided to order their chicken wings because I liked that there were different flavors I could choose from. I wasn't looking to stuff my face, so I ordered 10 chicken wings and selected the following as my flavors: Original Crispy Fried and Soy Garlic. What I really enjoyed about Love Letter's chicken is that they were hearty, tasty, and were finger licking yummy-licious. I wish I had ordered a side of white rice to go with the scrumptious chicken. The chicken was so filling that I was able to bring some home for left overs. I ate the chicken two days later at work and they tasted good after heating them in the microwave. Lastly, don't forget to ask for their vinegar radish and cabbage salad with thousand dressing. If you ever visit this overcrowded dining destination during peak mealtime hours and don't want to wait for hours to eat, then know that Love Letter is just around the corner inside H Mart. I definitely want to try their pizza next time, but I'll make sure to order rice to go with Love Letter's flavorful chicken.

There is nobody else standing in line outside and the owner comes outside to tell me 2 times that I need to wait 30-40 minutes. I told her there is no waiting in front of me, and that it should be first come, first serve. She says no, you can only sit on tables for 1 person and it will be a 30-40 min wait for that. I said okay, but if there is no line and people are done eating with empty tables it should be fine, right? There is a waitlist, and that it should go in order. She said no, you can only get seated on tables for 1. Then she proceeded to say it's a 30-40 min wait again as if I didn't already know that for the second time. I told her i'd wait, but now i'm feeling bad and don't know if she even cares to earn my business. It's my 5th time coming here, and unfortunately this place was one of my favorite Korean restaurants and since I'm from out of town I make sure to visit each time I am in the OC. I'm not sure if I want to continue coming back here if service remains this way. It's embarrassing enough to come alone, it's even worse when you're called out in front of people inside of the restaurant while there are only 3 people waiting outside. When I got seated she didn't even give me a menu and asked me what I wanted. Lucky for her i'm Korean and was already a repeat customer from the early days so I was able to order right away-otherwise how could I order? God forbid I ask for any recommendations on the menu... 1 star well deserved for this. Congratulations this is the first time I rated a fellow Korean restaurant 1 star. There is a first time for everything I suppose.

This isn't the place for trendy fusion dishes or flashy presentation; it's all about hearty Korean comfort food that feels especially satisfying on a cold day. My go-to Korean dishes are Yukgaejang and Bossam. The spicy beef soup is usually my benchmark for any Korean restaurant. Tang 190's version delivered everything I look for: a rich, deeply flavored broth with a satisfying level of spice and plenty of tender beef throughout. It's the kind of soup that keeps me coming back. This last visit, I finally got to try their pork and kimchi platter. The pork itself was tender and enjoyable, but I wasn't a fan of the cabbage. Instead of being lightly pickled with salt, it had been fermented to the point where it resembled white kimchi. I've actually never seen it made like this before. I definitely prefer the fresher, crisper flavor profile to pair with the pork and radish, so this preparation didn't quite work. Service was efficient, and the meal arrived quickly. On any other day, it's usually a 5 star visit, but the bossam preparation was a huge miss for me. While prices have crept up over the years, Tang 190 still does what it does best: serving comforting, no-frills Korean food that consistently hits the spot.

I usually order a side of extra glass noodles, but I'm glad I didn't here because the noodle portion was also generous. The dumplings were juicy, and the dipping sauce complimented them perfectly. My favorite galbi tang spots are in Buena Park, but Tang 190 will definitely scratch the itch when I can't wait since I'm local to Irvine.
