They will communicate with you, suggest a design/color fitted for your occasion and make you glad you made that standing appointment (recommended). I must say I've gone to a lot of nail salons in the San Fernando valley and this I by far my favorite! They have a great staff, bust most of all great quality work! They take pride in doing a great job, they take their time with your nails, they make sure they look perfect, and they have a lot of gel nail polish choices which is a plus for me! I also get my pedicures here and let me tell you I've never had such a good pedicure than here! I do my pedicures with Mimi and my nails with Tina. They are excellent! I'm glad I found this place. Got a gel nail mani and didn't notice until i was sitting in the pedi chair that the tips of my nails were kind of left unpolished. Then the guy doing my pedi asked what was wrong so i showed him but he said they looked fine. I was disappointed but oh well. Won't be coming back. Found this place through yelp, I figured it's down the street from my job, why not give them a try? I went in without an appt (i did have to wait about an hour or more to be seen) highly recommend to make an appointment, it's a small salon but aside from the wait time, they are great at what they do. I will definitely go back again & this time I will make an appointment with Kim. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their spa chairs are old. The chairs are all different. Some had the massage function & others didn't. Some had spa jets but others just used a standing bowl. But all-in-all it was a good experience. Really unhappy with the results of my gel design. But first, the manicurist are in general lovely people and did a great job with my basic gel manicure and regular pedicure. My cuticles were perfectly removed without being cut too short and without bleeding (usually that is a normal problem I have). Also, the throw in hand massage was great. Also the paint job was great as well. However, the nail shop is kind of dirty and definitely needs some remodeling/some of their practices could be improved as far as hygienic cleanliness. Also, the biggest disappointment was Linda who did my nail design. (Especially since there was such great reviews) 1. She rushed through my nail design (even though it was simple) she did it in less than 5 minutes. My nails look like she really didn't take her time. 2. I asked for a gel manicure and the bottom coat is gel, but she finished the rest of the design with regular nail polish which is not right because it will mostly chip off within a couple of days. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until I stepped out of the shop and saw them outside that my nail design truly looks unfinished and very sloppy. Truly disappointed, if she didn't have time I would have just had a normal gel manicure/pedicure or went somewhere. read more

Such an amazing nail salon! I've been to a few in the valley and have always some how been disappointed with the final product. I'm very particular about my acrylic sets and like them the exact, picture perfect way. Anything less, and I'm annoyed looking at them. Okay, time to rave about this place like everyone else! I've gone here 4 times total. Once I broke a nail and just came across this place and they fixed it! I never remembered the name of this place so I never thought about it again. I then got a new job and yelped for a near by nail salon and drove to it during lunch and it was THE PLACE! I was sooo happy! Got my nails done. Beautiful. The next week I got my eyebrows done. Awesome. Then chipped a nail today and they fixed it with in minutes . I really hate confrontation so ill just start by saying that i didnt call them or come back to ask them to fix my nails but i was turned off by the whole job to begin with. Tina did my nails. I walked in and waited no more than 15 mins to be helped. The nails themselves sucked. She didnt file them square or even compare them to see how long she left them after doing the fill. I like getting gel so that i dont have trouble with the paint job later when i go home. Well i got plain black gel w single orange nail on each hand (to welcome fall). The next day i noticed an air bubble in on of my nails and tried to smoothen it out but it totally peeled off. I paid 48 dollars for the job. Not into confrontation or complaining because i feel that this kind of stuff should be done professionally the first time around. I looked at their Instagram and apparently Linda is the ideal nail tech for acrylics. Tina was not worth the 48 i spent and now the 30 ill probably have to spend fixing the job elsewhere. read more

Everyone at this place is great. My nails always look amazing. My eyebrows look beautiful. I love that this is a family owned nail shop. I watched I believe it was Tammy give a manicure to a lady who seemed to have Alzheimer's she was so gentle, and even wiped the lady's mouth when she drooled. The lady smiled the whole time while getting worked on. When she was finished she also took get time and held the lady's hands until her nails were dried. The entire staff is incredibly enthusiastic, friendly, easy to talk to, and very welcoming. The outcome of my nails always meet and exceed beyond my expectations. Palace Nails...I don't even know where to start. My friend took me here for the first time yesterday because she said they're "good". I wanted to get a refill, but decided to get my fake nails removed. This girl who did my nails rushed it like there's no tomorrow. I don't know how it is at the other places, but the one where I go to in Sherman oaks they soak my nails first before removing it. Apparently at Palace Nails, they don't. They think that removing it by pulling your fake nails off using a nail cutter will do it perfectly without hurting you. I was in pain! She poked my thumb TWICE without apologizing. She tried pulling one of my fake nails over and over without being careful. OUCH! After removing 7 acrylics, she decided to soak the other 3 because it won't come off. She moved me to the other table because her client came, okay. So I was sitting there for 20 mins waiting for this woman to check my nails. She turned around and gave me napkins and said "rub it off with this napkin". Lol I didn't come here to do my own nails and pay. That was it, that's all the service I got from her. Thank god, her brother (I'm assuming) came to check my nails and was nice enough to take it off & fixed everything. Do yourself a favor, stay home and do your own nails lol. It's not worth driving to a place like theirs and pay just to be treated like crap. I was nice enough not to complain in front of her even when she was giving me attitude the whole time. I've been getting my nails done on and of for about 20 years and it was always a painful experience and never really got what I asked for, but not with Linda. I cant believe it's taken me this long to write a review. I've been coming to Palace nails since the day they opened their doors, and before that, I was a regular with Mark and Kelly for 3 years at their old location. All together, I've been coming to them for about 6 years, if not more. I follow Mark and Kelly where ever they go! My gel manicure stays on for a good 3 weeks, and I'm constantly receiving compliments about my nails because of them! Clean, fast, and reasonably priced. I do not trust anyone else with my nails! Don't get me wrong, the rest of their staff is amazing too! Great selection in color. TIP- They get extremely busy, best bet is to make an appointment a week or so in advance. Completely shocked with the poor treatment I received on my past visit. I've been coming here for about a year and loved the actual work they do. I made an appointment A MONTH IN ADVANCE and got there right on time, only to be told "Hang out." I waited for 25 minutes until I just couldn't wait anymore. To make matters worse, all I got was a completely insincere "so sorry" accompanied by an eye-roll as if I had just walked in w/o an appointment And expected immediate service - not the case. They completely disregarded me although I had made my appointment with plenty of notice, I felt unappreciated and will not be returning again. read more

The overall experience wasn't awful but it wasn't amazing either. I got a regular manicure and pedicure. The woman who did my nails (I don't know her name but she's one of the older ladies who doesn't really speak English) did a good job of cleaning my cuticles but she did manage to cut a little too deep on more than one occasion. Ouch! She was really rough when removing the polish on my finger nails too. Another ouch! The major bummer was that though it wasn't crazy expensive for a mani+pedi ($25), they do charge an additional $2 fee for all credit card transactions. This seems a bit high as most businesses don't have this fee or tack on an additional 50 cents at most. Maybe next time I will request one of the other girls and bring cash. read more

Tina, Tammy and Jennie did an amazing job on my hooves and transformed them into clean, pretty, primped and polished feet. The amount of dead skin that came off my feet was pretty gross!
