    Italian wedding soup
    Harshmeet S.

Had a wonderful experience visiting the cute Italian place. We were greeted well while visiting this place on Friday evening. The service was very good and I ordered the fettuccine chicken and tiramisu. They give bread and a choice of salad/soup. I took the soup and it was delicious and fresh and so was the bread with the pasta. The pasta was one of the best I have had in a long while. I absolutely loved the place and their service! The tiramisu was okay, I could have avoided ordering the dessert. Absolutely recommend this place. It is a strong 4.5

Cute little pizza restaurant and it feels like you're in Italy. Perfect lunch spot with good lunch specials

The ravioli was great. It has a lot of veggies! The soup that came with the ravioli was very flavorful. We also enjoyed the eggplant appetizer, sour but a little sweet.

So good! And pretty decently priced for a sit down pizza restaurant. My 3 friends and I opted for the family size pasta, which comes with 2 side salads or 2 soups. We went for the large pizza which was about 12 slices. We asked for garlic crust but don't think we it :( It was quick service, and they came by and asked us how our food was at least once. Cost came out to $88. And one of us took about 3-4 slices home and maybe a half portion of pasta.

We had a reservation for a party of 10 on a weeknight and Palermo truly delivered. Great quality for a really good price! Really big menu with plenty of pizzas, pastas, calzones, etc. I had the penne alla vodka with seafood. It has a creamy rose sauce that perfectly smothers the noodles and seafood. Mussels, squid, and I think shrimp were all cooked well, maybe slightly overdone but didn't matter to me lol. Mimosa yummy, wine yummy, good vibes, feels super family-oriented and the service was so kind the whole evening. We had a truly wonderful dinner that we all still talk about!

The food is amazing! We stopped in on a Friday after 3pm and that was the best decision ever! The service was prompt and delightful. The restaurant was spotless and not noisy. The prices are reasonable and I left very happy.

    20. Zesty Bacon Pizza

We were ordering pizza for a party in Ballard. They readily accommodated a large order (7 extra large pizzas) same-day. When we were running ahead of schedule, they even moved up our order. Each pizza was different: cheese, veggie, antipasto (artichoke, sun dried tomato, and basil), meat lovers, BBQ chicken, zesty bacon, and arugula with prosciutto. Everything was a hit with our guests. The fan favorite was definitely the zesty bacon (bacon, pineapple, mushroom, and jalapeño). I would order that again in a heartbeat. Toppings were generously layered, with just the right amount of chewy crust. We fed everyone for less than $10 per head and had over a pizza and a half left over. A great pick for if you want to feed a group, but want to go a step up from Domino's or Pizza Hut.

    13. Pizza Provencale + Goat Cheese and Eggplant
    Nicole S.

This was a delivery order but there was absolutely no disappointment here. The pizza was excellent, adding the goat cheese was a great move and I was so happy that when I added eggplant it was prepared expertly and tasted wonderful. We didn't eat in, so I've only had take out, but I'd love to come into the restaurant itself and have some more authentic dishes. I also ordered the chocolate covered cannoli and was so happy with how delicious it was-hence no pics

We had a party of 10 (walk-in) and were seated immediately by friendly staff! This place is quite generous with its portion sizes, located in an adorable Ballard neighborhood Chicken fettuccine: standard, pretty solid! Salmon pappardelle: Loved the texture of pappardelle & the salmon was solid too, well-done piece of fish Seafood special: Not a fan, unfortunately. Something about the fishiness didn't mix well with the vodka sauce & seasoning. Chicken parm: again, standard and did the job! Pizza: Delicious, and it was really cute they served it to us on the little wooden paddle Overall, solid Italian food. Just a bit heavy on the flavor, oil, etc. but you won't leave hungry :)

Tucked down the alley by the gum wall, it's a great option for wood fired pizzas. The space is fairly small and very low-lit, but thriving with energy. Our service was fantastic, drinks were good, but besides the pizza the food was pretty hit or miss. We had a table of 4 and we kept the table full the entire time. We started off with a salad, spicy mac n cheese, cheese sticks, and Brie and cheese. Salad was light and refreshing. The cheese sticks were pretty normal, but also good. The spicy mac n cheese to me had zero spice. Just some mac in a cast iron pan. The apple and Brie had a nice presentation but the smallest amount of Brie possible(my picture was too blurry to post). The Broccolini I am not sure how it was defined as broccolini because the 5 pieces that came on the plate were huge. While packed with flavors of lemon and Parmesan they had a very tree like feel and were a bit on the harder side. The El Diablo pizza, to be straight forward was by far the best part of the stop. The crust could have been a little more well done, but that's just me splitting hairs. I ate more of that than anyone else. Probably could have finished it myself if I hadn't stopped for a lobster roll beforehand. Either way, great service, good drinks and legit pizzas!

The pizza itself is actually pretty good, which is why I kept coming back and really wanted to support this small business. Unfortunately, the customer service and wait times have consistently been disappointing. Tonight, I stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged or greeted me. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. At the very least, customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they walk in. I genuinely hope they improve the service side of things because the food has potential, the bar vibes they've created are pretty cool as well and I'd love to be able to give this place a better review in the future.

If that line is intimidating or wet (think rain!) then duck inside to Pizza and Pasta Bar for a delicious meal. While there we met the owners Bruno and Goli who were helping out behind the counter. They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). I got a slice of Italian supreme, which has everything. Now looking back though I wish I had gotten one of their Turkish dishes as I would have liked to try their lahmacun and read another Yelpers review and this place is supposed to have the best Turkish lahmacun in the US. Oh well, I guess I will be back! The woman heated up my slice and after a few minutes, it was ready. I took my slice and went to sit outside near Pioneer Square so I could be outside and people watch. Pizza was tasty and solid, but the crust was too dry. I have a feeling the slice wasnt the most fresh, so thats why the crust was a bit dry. But, if you know me, I do jot like soggy pizza (I mean - who does??), so a bit drier isn't too big an issue. The rest of the slice was good. Slice of pizza and a diet coke came to close to $9. Gosh things are so expensive now. They do have a special of 2 slices for $8.99 but I couldnt eat two slices. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
