Baked Fettuccine with Meatballs

Got this for take out and maybe it would've been better as a dine in meal? There was SO much cheese. Like I love cheese but this was too much and it just kinda solidified. The flavors were good but you couldn't really taste anything past the 1 inch of hard cheese. I think it would've been good with a lighter sprinkling of chez

lol

The ambiance is super cozy, reminiscent of Tuscany, Italy. The food is very good, super tasty and fresh ingredients to make delicious dishes. They also have very fairly priced wine bottles. Try it out!

Pure slop.

Whoever made this pizza has no pride in their work...this pie was pure slop with a 1cm thick layer of congealed, low-quality mozzarella. Please do better for $24 (ex. taxes and delivery fees). For the record, you can buy a cheese pie that is 1,000x better at Cornelly for $24, for $22 at Lupo, and $20 at MOTO.

Chicken Marsala

I ordered Chicken Marsala and a Meatball Sub for the first time. Whatever the chicken dish was is an abomination. It was a cream and cheese based sauce not a Marsala! Overcooked Barilla boxed spaghetti. $20 for trash. Haven't even looked at the sub yet. Don't even care anymore.

Classico Meat Pizza

Absolutely delicious!!! We ordered a small soprano pizza and it was yummy! The crust was very crispy and golden brown. We ordered two separate pastas: Italian sausage pomodoro and the baked fettuccine with meatballs. Everything was perfect! You get to choose between a side of salad or soup. We got one of each. Very cute restaurant and great staff! Will certainly come back whenever we return to the state! They offer free delivery for locals.

Gluten free baked cauliflower & gluten free garlic bread! -to go

Absolutely amazing experience! The owner was knowledgeable and cautious about gluten sensitivities! He found a way to make everything we wanted gluten free! I've been coming here since a child, so I wanted to order the baked cauliflower dip that I used to order (it's delicious!) He informed me the cauliflower bake had flour in it but went to the chief and found a way to make it without! Then he replaced the pita with GF bread and added garlic butter to basically make garlic bread! The food is delicious and the customer service was unmatched! Oh and my dog got to join us outside! Huge plus!

Lasagna
Valerie Y.

My friend who lives really close to Palermo suggested it as a quick sit-down place with great food, and she was not wrong. Did you know that you can call ahead to order ahead and come sit down? We did that and were immediately served. I don't know if this is a popular business model but I LOVE IT! I got the Lasagna, which was huge and came with plenty of breadsticks. Huge fan of this lasagna - it was the perfect amount of cheesiness and had a lot of meat sauce. I think the price was very nice compared to a lot of Seattle restaurants, and I was so full by the end. I'd highly recommend Palermo and would come back.

Great staff! They are the sweetest, food is cooked in a timely manner. I love the caprese salad and Penne Al crema pasta.

The pizza was the perfect size for two people and generously loaded with toppings--every bite had a great balance of flavors and ingredients. The crust was just right as well: not too thick, not too thin, and baked to perfection. We also ordered a few drinks. I had the Smoke and Mirrors cocktail, which was well-made and definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great food, excellent drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely come back again.

Tucked down the alley by the gum wall, it's a great option for wood fired pizzas. The space is fairly small and very low-lit, but thriving with energy. Our service was fantastic, drinks were good, but besides the pizza the food was pretty hit or miss. We had a table of 4 and we kept the table full the entire time. We started off with a salad, spicy mac n cheese, cheese sticks, and Brie and cheese. Salad was light and refreshing. The cheese sticks were pretty normal, but also good. The spicy mac n cheese to me had zero spice. Just some mac in a cast iron pan. The apple and Brie had a nice presentation but the smallest amount of Brie possible(my picture was too blurry to post). The Broccolini I am not sure how it was defined as broccolini because the 5 pieces that came on the plate were huge. While packed with flavors of lemon and Parmesan they had a very tree like feel and were a bit on the harder side. The El Diablo pizza, to be straight forward was by far the best part of the stop. The crust could have been a little more well done, but that's just me splitting hairs. I ate more of that than anyone else. Probably could have finished it myself if I hadn't stopped for a lobster roll beforehand. Either way, great service, good drinks and legit pizzas!

The pizza itself is actually pretty good, which is why I kept coming back and really wanted to support this small business. Unfortunately, the customer service and wait times have consistently been disappointing. Tonight, I stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged or greeted me. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. At the very least, customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they walk in. I genuinely hope they improve the service side of things because the food has potential, the bar vibes they've created are pretty cool as well and I'd love to be able to give this place a better review in the future.

If that line is intimidating or wet (think rain!) then duck inside to Pizza and Pasta Bar for a delicious meal. While there we met the owners Bruno and Goli who were helping out behind the counter. They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). Except that this logo has hair made of pasta! Good enough to eat! Give this place a try. You'll leave with a big smile on your faces!

No, we warm them up. Ok. How about the mozzarella bread? Yes, we make it to order. Ok. Let me describe this: two pieces of bread, no seasoning, no butter - just open face with shredded mozzarella from a container then placed inside the stone oven on the wall. In a medium nonstick pan, large tong full of wet noodles, one ladle of white sauce, toss them together. Boiled chicken pieces, BOILED chicken tossed into the pan. No seasoning or shredded cheese, or Italian seasoning. Served in a plastic to go container that cost 1.85 extra bc it was to go since they wouldn't allow us to sit w outside food. Although it was empty and we weren't taking anyone else's table. The place is clean. And bright. I also paid for the container for my bread. The food was bland and boiled chicken just made it worse.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

One of the best things about life and being alive! Can you tell I am a bit of a pizza rat haha? Anyhow, I was enjoying the beautiful summer night in Seattle and was hungry around 9:30pm. A lot of places are closed already but this reliable pizza place was open. SWEET!! I walked in and lady working the counter was super nice and helpful. I got a slice of Italian supreme, which has everything. Now looking back though I wish I had gotten one of their Turkish dishes as I would have liked to try their lahmacun and read another Yelpers review and this place is supposed to have the best Turkish lahmacun in the US. Oh well, I guess I will be back! The woman heated up my slice and after a few minutes, it was ready. I took my slice and went to sit outside near Pioneer Square so I could be outside and people watch. Pizza was tasty and solid, but the crust was too dry. I have a feeling the slice wasnt the most fresh, so thats why the crust was a bit dry. But, if you know me, I do jot like soggy pizza (I mean - who does??), so a bit drier isn't too big an issue. The rest of the slice was good. Slice of pizza and a diet coke came to close to $9. Gosh things are so expensive now. They do have a special of 2 slices for $8.99 but I couldnt eat two slices. Id definitely come back here again when back in this area. Thanks for feeding me and if you need a late night spot, this is your place!

Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
