I needed a pizza place that could deliver by 12 PM noon on a Tuesday in SLU and at 10:30 AM, almost no place was open. I found Palermo doing a hasty search but I have no regrets! I ordered from their website so delivery was free. I ordered several large pizzas, including artichoke, Buffalo chicken, one with prosciutto, spinach, cheese, and pepperoni. I also ordered a small custom pizza with different veggies which came out to $2 cheaper than the larges. The order was estimated to take 45 min but the driver arrived over an hour later (which I planned for). When I called the restaurant an hour after ordering the person I spoke to was nice and let me know the driver was en route and expected to arrive soon. The driver also followed delivery instructions correctly. Pizzas were warm, with cheese and roasted red pepper packets in each box. They were different levels of greasiness, which frankly, should be expected for a pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed the pizzas and I definitely would go back! read more

Palermo is one of my favorite to go pizza options, and is decently priced / within the range you'd expect for pizza in Seattle. Pizza is consistently well cooked, regardless of how many toppings are added (my current rotation includes bacon, basil, and red onions), and the crust is a nice mix of chewy and slightly crispy. I always go with their extra cup of marinara, which is a considerable helping that pairs well with a large pizza. Their half garlic bread is a generous size (2 half slices vs other places that may only give you 1 small slice), and also comes with their marinara sauce. Their cheese cake and carrot cake slices are a good size, but I've found the cheese cake can be a hit or miss (sometimes tasty and sometimes tastes like it was left in a freezer). Their mini individual pizza is cute, especially if you're looking to try out some of their toppings but don't want t commit to a full small pizza. However, with the price for the mini, you might as well go with a full small pizza. Currently Palermo is available on DoorDash, so if you can't drop in for pickup or dine in, there are options. read more

Palermo has become our default local pizza. We love the vegetarian options, especially the red goat. I really like the messiness of the Greek pizza. The service is pretty quick and friendly and efficient. Prices are good and they have wine and beer, but no cocktails. We have ordered a few other items off the menu besides pizza and they were OK. The pizza is really where they excel. I don't like takeout pizza or delivery so I cannot attest to that service or quality. The ambience is kind of hokey. Some Mediterranean inspired knickknacks, a dessert display, and a shelving display of wine at a corner storefront. But don't let that deter you from a good pizza. read more

Absolutely amazing experience! The owner was knowledgeable and cautious about gluten sensitivities! He found a way to make everything we wanted gluten free! I've been coming here since a child, so I wanted to order the baked cauliflower dip that I used to order (it's delicious!) He informed me the cauliflower bake had flour in it but went to the chief and found a way to make it without! Their meat lovers equivalent pizza (the house special I think?) is so good. Thick and cheesy and loaded. Their meatballs are also primo. The issue I've had with this place is a bit of inconsistency. The bbq chicken pizza was pretty bad, and the pasta dish I had was average, but when I want just like a good pizza like I had when I was a kid, none of that matters. The thing is Seattle pizza in general is not great, so if you're looking for a super tasty classic pizza (that almost nowhere else seems to be able to do), Palermo is your best bet. read more

Palermo has my favorite gluten free pizza in the area. They're one of the few places that have GF pizza with a more Neapolitan style thin crispy crust, unlike other place that feel like your eating a thick sponge. Toppings are good quality, and there are authentic pastas with gluten free penne options. The vegetarian bake cauliflower in garlic lemon sauce appetizer is also delicious. My only complaint is the salads could be more exciting, they're very much typical pizza place salads, but I will say the antipasto salad is pretty tasty, and a good deal being so large. I usually do delivery, and their delivery service has no extra fees besides tip! Plus, I've met the same drivers many times over the years, which I assume means employees are treated well. read more

I could not make a decision quickly. I went on a Wednesday at 5:30 for dinner and it was pretty empty, so the food came out relatively quickly. The pizza is thin crust and there are some nice shady areas all around. No AC from what I can tell if that's a deal breaker in the summer for you. However the last couple of times we have ordered pizza delivered, it seems everything has gone downhill. We just ordered a pizza that cost $40+, and nothing about it was right. The crust was a weird texture, pizza sauce virtually non existent, cheese dried out and tough, toppings burnt on edges. It was edible but certainly did not qualify as the top notch pizza taste & quality they used to put out. Very warm friendly establishment The Hill Area and close to the core of Broadway so evening you can walk to other hot spots.
