So this review has to start with the first phone call I made to Palm Beach Tan a little over a month ago. I had no idea if tanning salons were open, and when I called in, this very cheerful gal, Amber told me they were and her energy immediately lifted my mood. I wanted to start tanning again for the vitamin D and mood lift and we were all ready off to a good start. Fast forward to today after going to the salon maybe four or five times (I've always had good experiences with all of the staff and the cleanliness in Covid) and I walk in the door, say my last name, and before I can get my first name out, Amber says it! I was so impressed - not only because she had remembered after I had only been in a handful of times, but because I was wearing a mask haha. It's the little things like that that make me want to do business with a company. I was tickled pink. And to make my day even better, she offered me an upgrade for four beds (I am a silver member) for what I was going to pay to upgrade to the next level up bed today! It felt like a great Christmas gift! I never feel pressured to buy upgrades or products like I have felt at other salons, and I walk away feeling like I got a great deal for a great quality. A lot of people are grumpy (including myself haha) a lot if the time due to frustrations with Covid), but the customer service I get from everyone I've encountered at this location is phenomenal and I never walk away in a bad mood. I don't usually take the time to review places, but I needed to do it today because of what a good mood I'm in now. This Palm Beach Tan has so much going for it starting with customer service/care! Nick and Grayson (sp?) are super helpful and go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience! I just moved here from Arkansas and froze my PBT account prior to moving out. They were able to help me contact customer care and align everything so that I could tan right away! Nick takes the time to explain and talk through everything which I love! You could easily find tanning anywhere but employees who act as though they care where you spend your money can't be passed up! They obviously love what they do and got great training! From day one everyone at the salon has been so nice, cheerful, and very helpful. My fiancé and I started tanning here to get ready for our wedding in Cancun. I was so happy to find a salon that was open during the pandemic! I've tanned years ago, usually in salons with only one bed so I was pleasantly surprised that they have two hallways of tanning beds. I was impressed with the quality of beds and how clean they are. My fiancé started to get more tan than me so Kristine asked what type of lotion was I using. She told me I was using the wrong kind and explained which beds I should use in which order to help me become my best bronzed self. I listened to her and I noticed a HUGE difference! Everyone in the salon is friendly and happy to help. I love coming here! We did put our membership on a freeze for sometime since we won't be home for awhile. I can't wait to return! read more

I was treated horribly here by one of the employees who had locked the doors while I was tannino and got angry when I mentioned how unsafe that made me feel. (Fire hazard,?- I had to ask them to unlock their doors so I can leave???) So I asked him to discontinue my membership, which he said he did right then and there in front of me (supposedly) BUT clearly he did NOT-- and he was quite nasty to me as well. Even after his verbal abuse that day, the COMPANY continued to debit my account the next few months before I caught it and called. I never got resolution from "management" either, or my money back, or so much as an apology. When I notified them about the extra incorrect the charges and asked them to reverse them and explained how rudely I had been treated, they offered me a coupon for a free tanning! I NEVER WANTED TO GO BACK THERE to such a horrible establishment who treats their customers so badly. It is BAFFLING and disappointing. Stay away from this place, they will treat you like crap. read more

Jake at PBT Beverly Hills is the best!!. I've been a member at this location for over 3 years and he is hands down the best manager you've had. He's warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and adapts to the pace of business. He's also the only employee to actually ever educate me on the benefits of tanning with a lotion. The previous employees were wayyy too pushy with the lotions. Jake has introduced me to so many fun new products in a way that actually made sense for me. Never change Jake! read more

I used to go to this place all the time. Going in they always did a good job of keeping he place pretty clean and for the most part always friendly. I froze my account because I was going to be away for work for an extended period of time. After being away for a few months my work was moving me permanently. I called them and they told me I had to come in to cancel. I explained to them I was on the other side of the country and there isn't a PBT anywhere near where I was. They told me the manager wasn't in and would call me back. After a couple weeks of no reply I called back and the same thing happened again. Waited for a manager to call and no one ever did. Mind you they keep charging you while hour membership is frozen and say you can use the money when you go in. How can you use the money on your account if you don't live anywhere near one? I reached out via twitter with absolutely no response from corporate. I then decided to email them directly through their website. It took about a week to receive a reply to which they said they would cancel my membership but not refund me for any of the months that I had not been responded to by anyone even though I had not been in and not lived in the area. They advised I find a location "somewhere" so that I can use the money I paid. I responded back to them and said I don't live anywhere near one and wanted to be refunded. The response I got was short and snarky. They won't refund the money I paid and merely said too bad. Horrible way to do business or even try to find a solution. read more

I have many choices of Tanning Salons, but because of the Associates Christine, Sarah, and Amber, I also go to your PBT location in Beverly Hills The ladies (and the newest team member of the team, Anthony, who they are training well) are sunshine on a cloudy day! They are so full of information, they know which beds work best for the kind of tan you want, and they really know your tanning products and do a great job at upselling without sounding like they are badgering you to buy. The salon is always clean and sanitary and smells clean and safe. They make tanning fun! Even when custiomers may be rude, they do not get flustered and remain calm and respectful. The tanning was fine, but I was overcharged, and not given a refund. I called the manager to tell them about the extra charge, she admit to the fact it was their mistake and told me that they'd reverse the charge. After waiting a week without getting the refund, I called them again. This time, I was told it was not an over-charge, just a "miscommunication" and she was only willing to give me credit, not pay back the money I was over-charged (!!). Decent tanning salon but make sure you check your bank statements carefully after signing up. read more

From the moment I spoke to her over the phone, she was so very kind, enthusiastic, and extremely customer service driven!!! When I met her in person, it was even a better experience!! I walk into the salon, and there is this amazingly bright eyed, woman with an infectious energy, and yes, it was Amber!!Meeting her in person, just made my heart warm! The service was better when it was Darque Tan. The place itself is fine - clean, good even GREAT beds. PBT monthly membership is what will fuck you in the ass. Trying to cancel? Forget it, you'll still see charges 2 years later. Staff is friendly but cannot actually help you with real shit unless they're from corporate. Corporate doesn't even bother to try and call back. It's a damn shame because I used to get incredible color (like people would stop me on the street and ask where I bought my tans) but because there are so many ridiculous rules and shady shit going on with my account, I can't even recommend this place. read more

Horrible in every sense of the word! If you're looking for a mediocre tanning salon with spray tan boots that smell like mold and WILL turn you orange, dishonest employees and a company that will over charge you, you've found the right spot. The ever changing staff are rude at best, the eye rolling and talking about clients behind their back seems to be completely fine and within company guidelines as they all do it. I live 2 min away and the convenience always got the best of me. I travel a lot and don't tan much but I always become a member and end my membership when I'm away to renew it later (again I'm 2 min away please don't judge me) This time I walked in and asked for termination, I was told that they are a bit busy and I should do it online, as I insisted they said fine but why don't you freeze? I said I rather not and she said fine with eyes rolling. 2 months later I get a phone call from Danielle saying that my account is past due, what? I've terminated my membership, She said paying is the only option. As I did not have any evidence of the termination I agreed to pay also I'm 3 months pregnant and I don't have the energy to argue. When she processed the amount she says oh I will also charge you for this month! What??? Why? Cuz it's the 26th. So basically they wait until the 26th to call you to be able to charge you for the extra month. The management is nowhere to be found no matter how many emails you send. This said, Brett or whatever your name is make sure you hang up the phone before you start talking sh*t about customers. When my pregnancy is over and I'm back in US My husband and I will take our business elsewhere. I rather drive a few minutes longer and get nicer treatment and most importantly a better tan. read more
