During the very wet Winter, the roof of our deck leaked every time it rained. We called Palm Construction and the team were very responsive. Several members of the team checked the roof repeatedly and tried to seal the leaks. Unfortunately, our deck roof continued to leak every time it rained. Either there is something wrong with the material used or the craftsmanship. We were led to believe that the material was leak-proof. We are disappointed. The team did try to figure what was wrong but was unsuccessful. Now we have to move outdoor furniture during the Winter and we have to deal with water stains on the deck. For this reason, I've had to change my 5-star review to three stars, only for the effort of the team not the end result. read more

Disappointing experience... a very sloppy job throughout, but especially after they received most of the payment. The railings were not even and not straight, the concrete was uneven and stained. They acknowledged but were unable to fix it. I guess it's your problem after the payment. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Im open yelp today to post my review on my experience with palm and im a bit surprised to read some negative reviews here, i had jack and Simon from palm construction remodel our kitchen with nothing less than perfection! We had an old original kitchen and we interviewed about 5 different companies, jack and Simon really make us feel comfortable with their process of design, found the fixtures tile and etc together with remodeling permits and installation. The presentation was detailed and my and my wife felt that the biggest one thing we connected with was the way they understood what we looking for other then just a kitchen. This is my second property and I've been working with several companies before, some good some not so much and i also had some bad experiences, im working from home and im well aware to what going on in my house, Other then noisy removal and a lot of food deliveries we really didn't felt this job, material been selected by us, from there some questions came up with the tile and lighting and we got it pretty quick 5 and half weeks from start to finish, Good communication and most of it just automatically happen. He made passes at my sister and he had the audacity to blame me for a shower head his hired non-licensed contractors did not install correctly. I barely touched it, and it fell. The first time I met him, he came in and pointed his finger at me and said, "You broke it!" Who does that?!?? This company has no professionalism at all. They are sexual harassers and douche bags. BEWARE!!!!! They also: - don't know how to paint. We had to tell them that you have to patch up holes first before you paint because they obviously did not. The unevenness in the walls was so noticeable. Some parts of it looked matte while others looked glossy. Really poor workmanship. - installed the entire kitchen crooked and claimed it looked nice! Palm Construction is a sales company that conducts business as a construction company. When you sign an agreement with Palm you are not signing with a contractor who went to school for their trade. You are meeting with someone who has been hired for the sole purpose of getting you to sign the contract. Ask them when/ where they got their license and then watch for the lie that proceeds as they usually operate as someone authorized to sell projects with someone elses license. Once that happens your install is handled by 3rd party contractors who rarely speak english and are not employed or trained by Palm. I learned this when I was called repeatedly over the course of days after I asked them to stop calling and so since my request was not honored I decided to find out who these people are. If you go to their website you will see other locations which each have their own yelp accounts and also have some...interesting reviews. I just really hope that you do your due diligence before you have this company at your house. Do research on your project and ask the right questions. read more

This was the first company I got a quote from to get my gutters and facia repaired. I got other quotes but appreciated Roni's professionalism and thoroughness. They got the job done quickly and I liked that the manager came out to do a final inspection upon the job being completed to ensure it was to the best standards. I then had them replace my sliding glass door to my patio and do the exterior paint which also came out beautiful. The manager also had the crew do small patchwork and paint jobs inside my home. While I was initially a bit hesitant given some negative reviews, overall they did an excellent job from beginning to end and I'm very happy with the end result. We enjoyed working with project manager Roni who was attentive and helped guide us through from beginning to end. He showed us what was possible with our bathroom and helped us see why some of our ideas would not work. The whole thing took about 3-4 weeks. The end result is a much improved bathroom! We've worked with several contractors before. We had a loft area we use as our office that we wanted to erect a wall with a barn door to enter rather than a conventional door. As you can see from the pictures, the finished product could not have been better. Great crew led by Omri respected our house by taping down floors and the stairs to the garage so and vacuumed at the end of each day. We elected to keep the crew busy and had them paint the entire interior of the house as well which also was done to perfection for our 2100 sq foot house. High regards go to Shay Avioz and Eldar Bizi for co-project managing our roof replacement and exterior painting projects. Thanks also to Roberto Porras, Field Quality Control, for doing on-site progress inspections. Roof was replaced in September 2022 and stucco repairs and exterior painting just completed 10/27/22. Crews for both projects were excellent with what had to be accomplished. Shay & Eldar, from start to finish, were always open to field questions and concerns during the entire time of the jobs. They made group texting and/or direct calling available so that there was minimal or, better yet, no delays insofar as being able to get immediate replies to our concerns. Let me be the first to say that if you need any work done by Palm Construction, make sure to get hold of Shay and Eldar. They fully understood the scope of my projects and they were able to get me what we felt were fair and equitable pricing and cost estimates. One of my biggest pet peeves was debris cleanup. You know what, the crews left my area and my adjacent neighbors' properties cleaner than when they first arrived! Everything that Shay and Eldar promised, they lived up to! Palm Construction agreed to build us a small backyard deck for $30,000 in the summer of 2022. Already this pushed our budget to the limit, however they presented as a very serious construction company and we felt they would do an expert job. They advocated strongly to not get the deck permitted. We determined that we wanted it permitted. The city denied the plans multiple times over the course of 6 months. Worse yet, each time it was denied, we were asked to pay very high change orders with very little transparency. In the end, they stated they would not build the deck for less than 45k. This far exceeded the market rate for a deck of the size we needed, regardless of the features required by the city. Other, well established contractors offered us the same project for $15000+ less than Palm and we eventually decided to cut our losses and switch away from Palm to someone else. Before Palm would refund our down payment, they asked us to sign a non disclosure agreement. We decided not to sign it. We would not recommend using them if you want transparency or affordability or if you need permitted work. We cannot speak to their actual construction because we never we able to get started. read more

Huge THANKS for Palm construction!! We started a full renovation on our Kitchen and house front adding a new driveway, porch and smooth stucco. The job started on February 10th after 2 weeks of waiting for city permits. During Covid-19 pandemic the city wouldn't allow any work to be done, but palm helped us providing a temporary kitchen for us with a full sink and dishwasher. I started working with Palm Construction when I wanted to replace my back deck this past summer. They were the most professional and well priced out of all the contractors who gave me quotes. Reuven was very nice and checked in with me regularly and made sure I was happy with the work that was being done. The workers did a beautiful job and added lots of details that really improved the look of my deck. I was so happy that I went with Palm Construction again when I decided to remodel my kitchen. All of the workers were very nice and the work on the kitchen was done beautifully. They put in new a new counter top and backsplash, replaced my old appliances, refinished the cabinets, painted and put in new lighting. Reuven came up with solutions when we ran into issues and worked with me to fulfill my vision. He was very understanding and if I had any questions or concerns, he would respond to me right away. Not just by text or phone call, but he would come over and look at the kitchen in person. I highly recommend Palm Construction and I'm planning to use them again in the near future. My only negative comment would be the people they had doing my electrical work left a mess and needed to come back to fix things that were not done. We contracted with Palm Construction Co. to demolish and replace our old 16' x 20' redwood deck in our back yard. We met with Simon Ben, project manager for Palm to describe what we wanted and get an estimate. After doing our own research, we did know that we wanted a TREX deck, not a redwood deck. Simon was great in helping us with ideas for our deck and when we asked about things we weren't sure about, he showed us pictures of jobs his company did which was great in helping us decide on our final design. Simon was not pushy and he kept checking with us throughout our meeting to see if we had any additional questions or thoughts. We had one more estimate to get to make four total. In the end, we selected Palm based on Simon's descriptions of the work process, estimated time frames, the pictures he showed us, and most importantly the experience the company had with installations of TREX decks. Palm's cost estimate was not the cheapest one, but we felt that if the company delivered on what the company described and showed us, that it would be worth the little extra amount we would pay compared to competitors. The job started a couple of days prior to when the company scheduled it which was a nice surprise for us. However, the job took longer than the original estimate. This was due in part because it was discovered that the entire old joist base structure was rotted out. We were hoping that the old base was solid enough to use for the new deck. Simon had cautioned us before we selected his company that once the old deck was taken down, that depending on the condition of the base structure, it could be the case that it might have to be totally removed and replaced and if so, there could be an extra cost for that. It was not a surprise to us when that happened. The old deck was over 40 years old. It took about a week for the old joist base structure to be removed and replaced with new wood and cement. For most of the job, we had two primary workers with periodic visits from the work crew boss who did the initial measurements and drawings for his crew. We also had about 4 or 5 visits from Quality Control people from the company who inspected the worksite. The job took 4 weeks to complete. As the job progressed, we were very pleased with the progress and what we were seeing. Once the main deck was built, an electrician came in to install lights and wiring on our long three step stairway on the deck. Toward the end of the job, we found some things that needed to be fixed and Simon found some things as well and he had all of those things taken care of. The bottom line is that once all fixes were done, we were extremely happy with our new deck. It is solidly built and very attractive and functional. We would highly recommend this company for deck installations, particularly for TREX decks. read more

We wanted to do a backyard remodel after few months that we bought our new home, We had few meetings with different contractors and Sean was great, he offered few different options and design and save some cost, he made a design for us with the pavers and trex deck that we chose after Robert drop off some samples. Sean updated us on daily basis about every detail of the project, they started when they said and finished as he promised. Looking for contractor to convert garage into ADU. My go to contractor has health issues, forcing me to "curiously" shop around. I spoke to Anna for consultation and explained to her that I already have a design plan approved by my city. I also told her I am in no rush and that I am working with my interior designer and all the finished materials would be taken care of. Unfortunately, Anna replied and said they are not "taking any such projects at the moment." After thinking about it, I can understand why. I am not offended. During our conversation, Omri kept on typing on his mobile phone while saying things like "look, XXX just gave us a very positive review", and trying to push us to sign a deal before giving any concrete numbers. I am giving this rating because of bad project manager and bad craftsmanship. We chose palm base on the Yelp review. First impression was good. Demo on our master bathroom was fast and other things. The we noticed that we only have 1 person doing our bathroom, but we never questioned it. After the first payment the project manager communication was getting bad. We have situations on our shower tile being crooked and we told them about and all of them just ignored us. When all was done I told them about and project manager was insisting that its fine. He also wants us to pay for the replacement of the tiles if we remove the existing bit we said no. We did our part on letting them know and they brush us off. We are very disappointed on how they handled everything at the end of the project. I personally would not recommend to my friends and relatives. read more

I just had my landscaping completed by Palm Construction and was not disapointed! The project manager Menachem B., was easy to work with and was very accommodating. It took about 3 weeks and the workers kept to themselves which was great during the pandemic. They were here everyday and worked long hours. It was a huge task to complete since I had the entire front and side of my house paved. And cute little palms planted along with solar lights. I really needed a change after fighting the drought, raccoons and gophers on my very sad looking, dried up dead lawn for past several years. Not to mention, I also had the broken up cement driveway and very old looking walkway entry done as well. I believe the task that was done, made my mid-century home look great again! We contacted Palm to demo our deck, rebuild one double the size and add a staircase so we could access the yard from the deck. They were able to do this all in roughly 3 weeks! 3 weeks!! That was half the time of other companies. (Plus, we had them do the landscaping which we did not plan on initially). One week into the project, we added electrical work and had them redo the floors on the first floor of our house. I was traveling for part of the project and Moses and Johnny were great about keeping me in the loop. They ever FaceTimed a few times if there were questions or to show me the progress. We began with a private contractor, but it became clear that he wasn't completely knowledgeable. We're glad we switched to Palm Construction, with its deeper resources. There were the usual problems along the way, but the project manager, and Palm's QC people, were always on top of it, and made sure the end result was very high quality, in each of the four sub-projects in our house reconstruction. They were also very affordable, which was important with our limited budget. The final quality of work was excellent, but the rating isn't 5-star because they repeatedly didn't listen to my wife's requests, and seemed to only comply when a man (me) requested something. And there were also repeated communications problems within the management of the teams. On several occasions, we would explain to the coordinator what we wanted, with confirmation from him, but then the crew would arrive with no idea about that, or prepared to do it differently. But again, the final result was excellent, and worth the occasional hiccups along the way. read more

I had been looking for wood workers but everybody wanted to give me a new roof! Found Palm Construction in February. Tom and Roni, both Field Supervisors, came out and did a very thorough inspection of eaves and facia boards. That really impressed me. Signed the contract. Then decided to have the whole house painted outside, new insulation in attic, and new driveway. These gentlemen were very knowledgeable, professional and wonderful to work with. Workers did a great job and were as picky as I was! Fixed everything perfectly. Excellent work all around. Pleasure to work with them.
