It's never the best time to visit family that has passed but we all have to eventually, my problem was the map they gave us to find our loved one was 14 years old and was incorrect. So we tried the "find a grave" on their website and even though it had been 5 years since her death they didn't have her in their database, so it turned into an hour long walk up and down to find her grave . The gardeners were more helpful than the staff they helped us look 5 men who had other things to do stopped and helped me and my family that was 10 people looking . I know this is a business, but they really go out of their way to make sure the families receive everything they need when having to deal with the tragedy of a loss. They worked with us to ensure everything went the way we wanted for my wife's service a week and half ago. Yes they charge for services but they made sure all our requests were met from fixing the flowers at the service when the florist delivered dead flowers (nice sense of humor florist), to making sure the music was right up through the reception and explaining everything to me after and they continue to provide support which is awesome. They show a lot of companion to help the families get through as best they can. It's sad to deal with but they bring a little comfort to know they are there for you and they try their hardest for you and your loved one. This is absolutely unbelievable ! My mother, sister and niece are buried together. Same headstone. I live out of state and went online a couple weeks ago just to check on the grave. Imagine my shock when what is their final resting place has been vandalized ! The headstone was defaced and literally just thrown on top of the grave like it was a frisbee ! When contacted by me I was told that it would cost me a little more than $ 1,000 to get this fixed. The grass is dying headstone defaced, and they take no responsibility ! I paid over $5,000 for each funeral. I believe I was totally ripped off ! Take my word for it, Do not use this place, they are understanding and nice until they get your money, then they screw you. read more

the maintenance service is substandard. I emailed 2 times informing problem with my sons headstone. it is settling and one side is sinking causing dirt and dust on his name. I cleaned 2 times in 4 days. I have not heard back yet !!! all I get that maintenance people have been informed and they will contact me. I had major problem at the time of ordering the headstone as well. very slow and no contact. I called to see if they could get some of my mother's ashes out of her urn i have and after already burring a family member here you'd think they would be kind enough to help out and at least offer the option to open the urn, i even offered to pay. I have a few friends and relatives buried here. I think this place is absolutely beautiful, and I love to just go and walk around sometimes. Although it sounds weird, I like it. Believe me when I say I love this place. But the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is.... Someone stole the picture and the plaque off my great grandmother's grave. This has happened more than once. I have been to 3 or 4 services here, including my first one ever, they are very nice. The viewing services are very comfortable and calm. The park as a whole is kept very nice and pleasant, and I love how they keep adding more water areas and ponds. Saw a family of geese the other day they had 11 babies. Other than the creepy grave thieves, thus place is always clean and taken care of. I come here when I need to do something thinking. read more

He was only twenty-nine years old. In addition to Corrales, there are many other athletes, politicians, entertainers, and mobsters buried here. The security staff professional posted at the gate one late afternoon got unnecessarily testy because I was attempting ingress at that time of day. Jessica Schedneck is one of the kindest, empathetic and professional person I have dealt with in any service industry. After seeing so many friends and relatives deal with the stress and worries of funeral arrangements on top of the sadness of the death of a loved one I decided that I would eliminate that burden for my family and go with pre planning. When I walked into Palm Eastern Mortuary I was connected with Jessica. Not knowing what everything that goes into pre planning, Jessica explained everything that it entailed from memorials to internments and everything in between. Final expenses are not cheap and decisions aren't easy, yet I never felt pressured or demeaned in any way when I didn't decide right away. In fact it was the opposite. I had so many questions and also wanted to pick out the perfect niche location. Jessica showed my wife and I several locations, different options and answered every question, every phone call, every text. In the end the professionalism, courtesy and knowledge helped us decide when choosing the niche and final arrangements. Worst, insensitive customer service experience ever! And given that their business is with grieving and vulnerable families makes it especially horrible. My brother passed away in March 22 from Covid . His widow ordered his headstone but before it was ready ( supply chain issues?!), she was diagnosed with cancer and passed away 8 months later in Nov 2022. Before she died, she met with Laurie at Palm to add her info to the same headstone ( except for Her date of death ). My niece completed the information for the headstone and for the last 13 months....we've waited and waited. At one point early in 2023, they said that the date of death was incorrect on the headstone and had to be redone. Every phone call....when she does respond, has been met with " it will be a few more weeks". Every time for the last year!!!!! Thanksgiving week, my brother and I went into Palm to check on this and left a request to have Laurie call...again. She called the next day, claims she was unaware of the date error and actually said it would be in at the end of November or beginning of December. We are mid December and still nothing!!!! Talk about adding insult to injury ...this is the epitome of horrible customer service !!!! And they advertise a service guarantee...ha! They don't apologize or provide truthful information....I'm sure the guarantee is also empty promises! Don't use this facility! read more

Unfortunately my mother in law passed away from cancer after a long fight. We buried her at Palm Eastern and was so happy with the incredibly professional services. Due to COVID 19, we had to limit the number of guests to the services but we were able to livestream it through their state of the art technology. This allowed our family Asia to partake in the services which was priceless. Because of this experience, we are now planning on pre-purchasing a family plot. read more

Palm Mortuary on Eastern is the worst rip off company in the estate of Nevada. They charge exuberant amounts of money to bury your loved ones and then once you pay for the services they never help you again or pay attention to you. My lovely mother who passed in May 2023 pre-bought a funeral package at this horrible, insensitive place and so we had no choice but to bury her here. While she had already paid for the services, there were additional charges which added to over $4000 thousands dollars due at her funeral. First they lost her death certificate after calling me to go pick it up. Now, 6 months later, no one in this awful money-making establishment can find her bronze plaque which we paid $1000 for, 6 months ago! Now, no one at this place knows where her plaque is and she is yet to have a name on her grave. Unreal how insensitive, incompetent the people who work in this establishment are. All they care about is taking your money when you are at your weakest; after your loved ones die. DO NOT BURY YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. You will be frustrated, upset and helpless once they take your money!!! read more

So sad that I have spoken to the staff multiple times about a rosary that was removed from a memorial site and both times I was treated like garbage by both people. Flowers have been removed during the seasons when they do not remove them, and they have an excuse for everything. If I could give a minus I would. My mother in law passed away last month. We had to go to the Mortuary 2x to speak to 2 different representatives. I understand this is a business and what I am about to say is a Horrible experience that we had. And it's still going on. My father in law paid for 3 Death certificates. I called many times to find out where the death certificates were. How can death certificates take a month? We are in the process of selling a house and needed the death certificates as soon as possible . Well, it took a month and when I called for the 5th time to find out if the death certificates came in yet, Dallas gets on the phone and says my name and says we have them but we still haven't received the $500.00 hundred dollars from the company and you can't have them until we receive the money! Are you f------ kidding me? I was in shock! Can this person speak to me like this!? My father in law paid for 3 death certificates. You never called us to let you know they were in. Never let us know that the $500.00 wasn't paid yet. We were waiting for these death certificates. Dallas also put an obituary online and never got back with us. It was incorrect. It's 2 days before the funeral and it is still not addressed. I understand you guys get a commission, but have some kind of compassion. After this funeral, we WILL NEVER GO TO PALM MORTUARY AGAIN. UNFORTUNATELY MOST OF OUR FAMILY WERE TAKEN CARE OF BY PALM. How disgusting your customer service is and it is Unacceptable. read more

I go here to help Find a Grave dot com. This place is very helpful when it comes to me getting a snapshot of someone's loved one gravestone. I take a short list to the office and they tell me each location and I appreciate that. There are other cemeteries that frown on us taking pictures of graves but they fail to realize, these are dead people. The King David Mortuary next door says they are afraid of someone stealing someone's identity and I have to laugh. You cannot steal the identity of a dead person. Your social security number goes public once you die. You can go onto Ancestry dot come and see dead people's social security numbers, they list them there because they are inactive numbers. You can't do anything with a deactivated social security number and SS deactivates it once you die -- so what would be the reasoning for not allowing a volunteer come in and get a snap shot for a relative back east? The good far, far out weighs the paranoia of stealing the identity of a dead person. Who on earth, who, would want a photo of a grave other that a loved one anyways? My Mom is buried in southern CA so just about once a year I put in a request for a pic of the grave. To see how it's doing, to make sure it's still there, to show honor from afar for my Mom. Hi palm mortuary, you know who I am because you had my mom in your lacking care for almost 3 months! For anyone going through a loss and don't know what mortuary to pick, like us, I'll do you a HUGE favor and let you know now DONT GO HERE. They're the most heartless people I have EVER met in my life. I even had my mother transferred to a different mortuary because of the way this place handled our situation, and even they said that they've never heard of a case where it takes 2 MONTHS FOR A SIMPLE CREMATION. No need for a reply because you'll still be hearing from us and you honestly can't defend your lack in sympathy and care. Nothing but a big named company with a half ass attitude for the family in grieving. All the one star reviews are there for a reason, and it's because you guys deserve it. Yes their fees may be a little more than most other places such as the $295 transfer fees etc. but when you take a walk through the place you will definitely know where your money is going! 100% beautiful! If you think it's too expensive there just take a moment and walk through the other cemetery-mortuary places in Las Vegas and look at their brown landscaping, broken fountains, broken doors, cracked side walks, un-secure gates, no security guards, poor business hours and low service staffs. You will end up spending $500 to $2500 more at palm than anywhere else but if you can handle the extra money It's worth every single dollar. PLAN AHEAD OF TIME! I qualify this review on the basis that the only time one needs to be at a mortuary is to make arrangements for a loved one. My father had passed at the end of the month and I went to Las Vegas immediately since I was the closest of the out of town family. Palm Mortuary was recommended highly and I was with my brother and mother to make the preparations. First and foremost, we were assisted by one of my father's brother in arms, a Knight of Columbus member (this is a Catholic group that assists with Church activities). I commend him for his guidance and his help to make the process easier. The conversation with one of the directors went smoothly enough. You know that you get the usual condolences and discussion of the process. We had not gotten to look at the costs beforehand but were thinking, this is the process and we will be told what and when and how much. All of this went smoothly within the context of costs for the service and extras that might cost accordingly. Besides the standard items, caskets, urns and memorial items for the service, the basic cost of the service, and of course the visitation room and chapel. Our director mentioned that most Pilipinos like bringing food for the visitation and that since the funeral home has a chapel, the casket will be in that room from 1-7 and for another $1000 dollars for a separate room where one can host (meet) with family with food and drink. it is not normally custom to have food and drink in the area. Based on the cost and of course knowing my family, I knew we would not be interested in the extra room. Grief can be done in the chapel along with my father's body in the casket. We decided to forgo this decision until we discussed it with the rest of my family along with my mother who is in not in the mood to discuss such subjects in front of others. After making some decisions, we informed Palm of our decision to forgo the extra room and was happy to have my father in the chapel for the visitation for the entire period 1-7. We informed the mortuary within 2 days so that the room that was reserved can be used by others if any since this is still is a business. But here is where everything became an exercise in the fine print. As I mentioned before, we discussed the chapel for 1-7 and an extra room for $1000. We dropped the extra room so we assumed the chapel would be our only room from 1-7. Fine print, the chapel will only be used for 1 hour for any type of service. This was not mentioned verbally and this was what got my brother and my craw. After conversations with both the director and the manager of the director, we were told that we would have the visitation room from 1-4 and the chapel from 4-7 for any service(the Knights of Columbus does a prayer service). This was really not the experience we were seeking. So the warning for others, make sure you have the details and everything in front of you before you make a decision. We were not price shopping for a funeral home, we wanted the best service with no hassle. I am afraid we didn't get it at Palm. Everything else went smoothly from the visitation the transfer from visitation to chapel, the service at the chapel. Although I would like to say that the whole event ended on a good note, I can say that as soon as the mass service (the next day) was over and my father's casket was taken away. I felt a little bit exhausted. When the flowers needed at the church needed to be taken care of, Palm was so quick out of the box that I was not able to ask them to take them away (no one wanted it). Positives, the service went smoothly. Negatives, fine print does no favors for the grieving. Positive you can purchase things outside of the funeral home, casket at Costco, flowers from known floral shops, memorials online and other places. Negatives, if you are grieving and have no time to do all of the work to look for these items, you will be gouged with prices at the funeral home. It is a business after all. I know you might never use this place but if you do, just make sure that you have someone who can be calm and collected to help you through. Thanks Don! read more

I felt like I was buying a car, not planing for a family members final needs. Really, why not just ask me if we wanted the spray on undercoating or an alarm system add-on? Had to go to a viewing of one of the members that go to my church. He was also one of my bowling buddies the last couple of years. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised about my experience. As soon as I pulled in to the driveway, I noticed lots of flowers at all the grave sites. I dont know if the actual company had done this or actual friends and family showed up all at the same time to pay their respects, but it did look rather nice. Once we made it into the parking lot, there were plenty of spaces for you to park. So if you have a big family and have lots of friends, you should have enough spots. To the right of the building there is bench overlooking a majestic rather large lake-like fountain. In the distance you can see more burial sights. I thought it looked nice and very serene. As we entered the building, we went straight to the viewing area. Lots of pews and every row had a box of tissue. Very thoughtful. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and was filled with the aroma of the beautiful flowers that surrounded the casket of my friend. Overall, I would recommend this place knowing that death is never an easy subject to deal with. read more
