I have unfortunaltly had to bury 2 childern 1 in 2006 and 1 in 2011. Both times palms was very helpful in making sure arrangments went smoothly. I'm not sure if they still do this but because both were under 3 we were not charged for the plot and their basic head stones were also free. We upgraded the head stones so the difference in cost is what we had to pay out of pocket. We visit regularly and the grounds are aways kept. read more

Very sickened and disturbed at the handling of the most important man in my life , final resting point was so improperly and unprofessionally mishandled. My Grandfather passed away 3 months ago, just 6 months after his wife of 64 years, my Grandmother. We were asked to pay to view him for family who weren't able to see him. These idiots brought out someone else. How does this happen? Here we are 3 months later and the same idiots call my mothers phone and ask to speak to my deceased Grandfather. Perfect timing for a supposed follow up call from over 9 months ago. Why lie? They blamed this on their hardware. I blame it on incompetence starting at the top. Was anything offered to compensate our family other than a foolish lie to cover up a incompetent handling from beginning to end? No! It is with much sadness that I write this excellent review. Nobody wants to ever use these services, yet so it goes. The staff here were incredibly well-organized and thoughtful. They didn't sell but showed the options. Yes, we paid more for that, but we felt it was worth it. The facilities were incredible. The grounds kept impeccably well and the various water features, etc., only added to the feeling of peacefulness and luxuriousness. While I wouldn't spend as much on my own funeral, I was happy to have spent it here. Everything about the process was smooth, like clockwork. My son was buried here 11 years ago. Yesterday we went to visit and add flowers to the vases. Both vases were laying on the ground with the old flowers still in them - I believe the landscapers took the vases out to mow and never put them back. We put them back and fixed up the flowers. When we went in to let the staff know, one of the ladies at the front was very rude and put the issue back on us. She doesn't supervise landscaping....we shouldn't have put the vases back. Ridiculous - we bought this plot 11 years ago and expect it to be maintained - not vases all over the place and some being mowed over. Take some responsibility and hire people with customer service skills. If I had been buying I can guarantee treatment would have been different. This place was different under the other owners - I would not have put my son here with this organization. read more

We were very happy with the services provided by the team at Palm Mortuary (Palm Eastern). My family used Palm about ten years ago for my dad at a different location and when we needed services for my mom our family chose Palm. We worked with Miliam (Millie) Quintanilla and I am so happy that we did. Millie was so respectful and friendly from the start. She was very thorough and provided all of the details that we needed. She made the process of working with the life insurance company seamless. It was a very difficult time for me and she provided a lot of guidance and support along the way. It's been over a month since the process began and a few weeks since the service and I needed to stop in to mail the thank you cards, I saw Millie and she welcomed me as she always does and she even answered a few additional questions that I had; It's nice that even once the service is complete, she still provides you with amazing service. For the service itself, John Horton was our Celebrant. He made sure to touch base with me prior to the service to see what type of services we wanted. He also asked about my mom so he could tailor everything. He was amazing and made the celebration of life for my mom a great one. My family and I are thankful that we had John for this celebration, he really made a connection with everyone. We also touched base with Karen U while Millie was out of the office. Karen also provided excellent service and was very respectful. She was a pleasure to All three (Miliam, John Hope, and Karen) are all amazing people and Palm Eastern is a better place because of people like them. I have nothing but high regard for Palm East! - I especially want to praise both Mark O'Donnell and Barbara Matias for a seamless and exceptionally easy, meaningful, and beautiful experience from start to finish at Palm East. Barbara Matias helped both my Mother and I locate possible burial sites --- and it was Barbara who found the perfect t site after I had already looked at several other options....once the location was selected, everything else simply fell together. If not for Barbara's diligence and care, this would not have been an option. She was always available to me, and her humanity got me through this. Everyone should be doing this. It gives you such peace and tranquillity- something, I admit, I was not at all expecting. It really calmed me. I can't imagine working with anyone else at Palm. Barbara is patient, kind, empathetic, and just a beautiful person who is also professionally speaking, -- super well-organized, thorough, and provides you with all your options. She just puts your mind to rest and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. I really loved working with Barbara through this whole process as I completed my pre-planning (including future memorial services for myself and my family). I highly recommend working with Barbara. These are important decisions which we all must make and confront at some point in our lives. And although I have quite a while, it is exquisite and soulful just to know that my family will not be burdened financially when the time comes because I took the time to do this right. In advance. When I put my father to rest last December, I realized for the first time, that these funeral services provide comfort, peace, and finality for the living. They are needed. It is therefore sooo important to work with good people - and people who know what they're doing and fully understand the implications of pre-planning. It's completely priceless, actually. I am also eternally grateful to Marc O'Donnell who is truly exceptional and made my experience very satisfying and complete. I had to come here to make arrangements for my father, who have passed.. RIP to Vicente A. You will be missed dad! So thankfully the family have made arrangements for my father's funeral. I know in Filipino culture, it is taboo to do such a thing, but i told my family we needed to do this otherwise we will be paying a fortune when my parents pass. Luckily, we made the arrangements and my father passed.. The staff at palm , are very friendly, they will take good care of you. The sales consultant who drew up my parents plan was very nice and informative as well, and went into the details of what goes on after someone passes, for funeral arrangements. I must warn you make sure you read the fine print and understand everything, there maybe extra fees for things you want done, such as $400 just to view your love ones, before they enter the cremation chamber. Overall, I had a great experience with them, just surprised me how much funeral arrangements and burials cost. read more

Beware of the fake kindness these people show because once they get your money, you won't hear from them again. My mother was laid to rest on April 30, 2022, and it is now the end of November, and she still has no headstone. SEVEN MONTHS??? Everything was paid for upfront, a full two weeks before her funeral occurred. Multiple phone calls to Frances and Lori have gone unanswered, as do our emails. Escalating things to a manager won't help--they ignore our pleas as well. We even paid extra to live stream the funeral and were told we could receive 10 complimentary DVDs of the funeral. Every six weeks or so, I call to ask where the DVDs are, and I get someone either telling me, "What? That's not part of our service," (which is not true) or someone profusely apologizing and telling me they will be in the mail the next day. Well, seven months later and still NO HEADSTONE, NO DVDs. By this point, it's clear to me that the kindness they display when you first walk in, grieving and forlorn over your lost loved one, is all a facade. They have our money, so why would they care about returning phone calls or taking care of past promises? We even placed a small stone statue on our mother's grave since there is no marker, and it's disappeared. These people are fraudulent and uncaring. Sadly, my father has already paid to be buried here next to my mother when he passes, or I would never entrust another loved one to this mortuary. read more

Palm Mortuary handled the arrangements for my 96 year old father, a World War II veteran, over 2 months ago. Since that time, we have been repeatedly calling them every week asking for the Veteran's Internment Flag that we were assured we would be provided. We never received it and could not even get a call back. We purchased our own official internment flag and now will lay him to rest in the National Cemetery. I STRONGLY URGE VETERANS' FAMILIES TO GO ELSEWHERE AS PALM MORTUARY HAS NO CARE AND CONCERN FOR HONORING VETERANS' SERVICE TO THEIR COUNTRY. read more

My Husband unexpectedly passed away February 29, and we had no funeral plans. After viewing several other cemeteries in Las Vegas, I went to Palm Eastern and met with Suzy Dacaret. She was extremely compassionate and professional. She showed me every available section and explained prices thoroughly without trying to up sell. I settled on a beautiful plot on a slope overlooking the lake. She also helped me create a wonderful headstone and even taught me how to clean it with products she gave me. First visit to this place was good, arranging for my loved one's cremation. They walked me through all the options - who knew there were so many. The consultant I worked with, Duayne H was not responsive after the initial consultation. He failed to respond to emails or phone calls, even when I asked for a reply. When trying to make arrangements to pick up the urn, which I had to coordinate with a special trip to Vegas, I left messages on his voice mail and sent emails, none of which were returned. The staff said "he is with a family" as if that was a permanent excuse. I ended up being able to reach another consultant, Lori, who was very helpful and agreed to stay to meet with me after hours. Customer service by Duane certainly was far less than I expected, especially for the cost. Lori was very good though. read more

My wife and I just bought property here after an appalling experience at DAVIS FUNERAL HOME AND MEMORIAL PARK, the blonde woman with the big teeth that runs the sales personnel over there is detestable!! The office staff at Palms was so friendly, they gave us a park tour, and the place was gorgeous, very well maintained!! They also seem to have a much larger maintenance staff which obviously allows for the over all beauty and upkeep of the park!!!! We are grateful that we chose Palm Eastern for our son to be buried. We cannot thank enough for what Abel and his ground keepers do for all of our loved ones in the park. Our son's mound was little too high at first, then Abel and his team fixed it for us. The lettering colors of headstone came as not as we expected after we waited over 5-6 weeks. Again, Abel did what he does and he fixed it for us on weekend which is not his working days. We had my mom's funeral service here, and they exceeded all our expectations. I can't say enough good things. From the moment we called, they were extremely helpful, professional, compassionate, and wonderful in every aspect. They explained everything clearly, understood that we were in shock and dazed, and did everything to help make the planning go smoothly. They promptly answered all phone calls and e-mails, followed up regularly, and they handled last-minute changes calmly and happily. The products they offer are a beautiful way to remember a loved one. Everything we ordered was top quality and beautifully done. We have treasures we will cherish forever. We especially love the canvas portrait, guest book, book-marks, stationery, and memory cards. Also, the DVD they put together was incredible. Beautiful beyond words. We were able to make everything our own. The funeral service was perfect in every way and was beautiful. They really did a wonderful job with everything. My father passed January 2018, trusted this establishment to handle everything since we used them before with no problems. Big mistake. Was promised a day and time to receive my father's remains and paperwork, that day came and went....they made a mistake on the death certificate, so it had to be corrected and re-filed with the county, which took unnecessary, extra time, which delayed getting things settled. Called them the day I was promised his remains, I was told that the urn that I picked out and paid for, had not been delivered yet, that it was delayed in transit, but the person I was dealing with said one of his associates had one available that he'd replace when mine came in. That I could pick it up in an hour. I get there sign the necessary paperwork and left with my father's remains. Trusting that I had been given what I ordered and paid for, I didn't open the bag to inspect the urn. Another big mistake, not the urn I was expecting, ordered and paid for. Called to complain and was told I got what I ordered, I gave them the information from the receipt, was told they would check into it, got a call an hour later, apologizing stating that I was correct, they messed up, I could bring the remains back and they'd get everything corrected. Like I haven't been through enough grief already, now they wanted me to do it again. Needless to say, it was a very disappointing experience. I will not use them again. read more

The communication really needs to be better with this company. A dear friend of mine has passed away and currently in the care of this company and we are trying to make sure that his remains are sent to the correct location for him to be laid to rest in peace with his parents, but apparently the only person that works at this location is the receptionist who does not have access to the information needed to verify that payment has been processed correctly and the remains have been sent. Leaving messages and trying to get someone to call you back is an impossible task. Having to endure a loss is already a very traumatic experience, but getting the run around from this company is making the process even more frustrating and exhausting. I have personally tried to call and I have gotten nowhere as everyone that can help is always "with another family". I am writing this as a last resort hoping that someone who works for this company sees this post and is able to communicate with me so that we can finally resolve everything. This was not an easy time in our lives, but thanks to aj, it was a little easier. He was nothing short of amazing, kind, compassionate, helpful, and extremely patient with us. This place is terrible. The facilities are nice, and so is the staff. However, I called in and asked about pricing they quoted me 695 to use the facilities for a Saturday afternoon. When we arrived the person reviewed all of the arrangement with us. When we asked what the total was coming up to he quoted us 1695!!!! This was a thousand dollar up charge from the price quoted. Unbelievable! We wasted two hours of the very little time we had to plan this funeral, with a place that lied about pricing to get us in the door. Very upsetting especially for a family who has very little time to plan a service to morn their mother. read more

The casket driver was late to our funeral service over one hour, it's been almost a treat that my mother passed away and the engraving of the store never got done. I came and signed the proof but they lost it!! They are claiming now that I never signed the proof!! Out thank you card had the wrong name!! Please if you have a loved one who passed away.. Pick a cheaper place.. They will for sure do a better job than this people!! read more

I have been going to write this for a very long time. Having 3 family members buried there & our own pre-need, viewing many friends there, I have to say this. They never make anyone look nice! They always have them propped up so they look like they have double or triple chins! I don't understand this! Even people that were thin, look inflated in the casket. I gave them a photo of my Dad; he had beautiful hair. They parted on the wrong side. I saw that & asked them to re-comb it. They said the hair stylist wasn't there. (Palm Eastern). I asked for a comb so I could fix it. Took them forever to find a comb. I asked them why they didn't look at the pic for preparing for showing. No answer. My brother's funeral was in the chapel, we arranged the music & they "forgot" to play it. Good thing we hired a bagpiper! The park itself is beautiful. The Easter Sunrise Service is very nice. My complaint is the way they can't seem to get the deceased to look nice for viewing. I have been to many other funeral homes here & in Buffalo/Rochester. The deceased look beautiful in every case. Palm, get our loved ones to look nice! I am not the only one to notice this! read more

I am so disappointed in the condition of this cemetery. The grass is dead, trees overgrown, an unkept. How sad is it to spend so much money for a final resting place that is suppose to be peaceful, comforting, and tranquil, just to find broken gates, dead trees and plants, and trash lying around. My mom purchased a complete package back in 1984 for cremation to assure placement alongside her already deceased husband and twin sister. She had the blessing of a very long life, and recently passed away in 2014. Thinking that all her wishes were pre-arranged and ready to be met, I expected this already devastating time to maybe be a little easier. Not the case with this Mortuary. Because she lived in Reno when she died, not Las Vegas, we used a local Reno mortuary which works with this one and they were wonderful. The Reno mortuary did everything, including the cremation, death certificate, and even sent me laminated copies of her obituary. Wish I could say the same for Palm Mortuaries. Instead I was met with a rude woman who was very insensitive and uncaring. She did nothing to help me, only hurt our family with her incompetence. So here is my warning to you... If I hadn't called to check on things, my mom would still be sitting in a storage room somewhere! Shortly after they received her remains, ready to be put in her pre-arranged spot, I received a call from Palm Mortuaries telling me that until they received my signature on a form they would send me, my mom could not be placed to rest. Of course I said send it and I will get it back asap. Life is a bit challenging right now as I am in the midst of chemotherapy for breast cancer. About 3 weeks later I was unable to sleep thinking about mom, and I realized that this form has never shown up in the mail, and I fear my mom is still not in her resting place! I called the mortuary, and asked about it, to find out I was right. By the grace of God, I was able to talk to the only person at Palm Mortuaries with a heart of compassion and ability to do her job that I have experienced so far. Her name is Linda. She helped me right over the phone to finish this final business, and allow my mom to finally be placed at rest. If I hadn't called them, who knows what would have happened to my mom. All the paperwork was still on this other woman's desk- over a month later! This mortuary is not recommended if you want your deceased to be treated with dignity, or if you expect any help with the arrangements if you are out of town or unable to physically be there. If you must use Palm, be sure you work with Linda, as she seems to be the the only one with the compassion and competence to care for you and your loved one at this difficult time. read more

The flowers are expensive, but fortunately there is a flower shop just down the street at windmill and eastern that can do the flowers at a much better price and was very good, reliable and the flowers were beautiful. This is a very peaceful place to be able to visit your loved one. I am glad we picked this place for the gravesite. Just read the details of your services carefully so you know exactly what you are getting and the cost. read more

Stay away from this place. All they want is your money and no service. My mother passed away in June and her ashes were sent there to be placed next to my father. They were paid on June 27th and said her ashes and her name engraved near the cenotaph underneath my father's name in 2-3 weeks. Well by the end of July it still had not been done. I called and the they said they would call back with info. I never received a call. When I called I told them I would be there on her birthday Aug. 23 to place flowers. After traveling 2500 miles I visited the site and still no engraved name. I think 2 months is long enough to finish what I paid for. The grounds are nice the service is terrible. read more
