While looking at funeral home options, every one of them was trying to upsell us and had the most outrageous pricing. All of the big name funeral homes were treating us like we were just another number and looking to profit. When I came across Care I knew immediately they were the right choice. When I spoke to Courtney on the phone I explained everything to her. You could genuinely hear the emotion and empathy in her voice. I explained to her that the hospital didn't let us see my brothers body for whatever reason. She was not happy about that and neither was her husband Aaron. Aaron assured us that if they were the choice for us they would get my brother before closing that day and we would be able to come and see him the very next day, And that is exactly what happened. Every promise they made to us they delivered on it. Arron, Courtney and Anastasia made such a difficult time in our life a little bit easier. They walked us through the entire process and gave suggestions where needed. When I arrived the day of the funeral they had already set up the flowers for us and the room looked beautiful. During this hard time we forgot to bring a belt, socks and shoes for my brother. On the day of the funeral I remembered and asked Aaron if my dad and brother brought the shoes, socks and belt, he told me no but he went out and got a belt and socks for my bother himself. I could not believe that he cared that much. While our mind were scattered and not in the right place he didn't want to add to our stress, So he went out and handled it for us to make sure our little brother was taken care of. I Will forever be grateful for that. I was the first person to arrive the day of the funeral and was scared to go see my little bother, Aaron walked me into the room over to my brother and put his hand on him and told me " Its ok you can touch him" When I did, He took a few steps back and let me have some time with my little bother. Aaron this moment will stick with me forever. Thank you for being there for me. I Could go on forever about Care, Aaron, Courtney and Anastasia but I'll end it here. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is already overwhelming enough, and having an affordable, compassionate place to turn to made such a difference for our family. From the front desk to everyone we encountered, the entire staff was exceptional, but I especially want to recognize Marquan. He was truly an angel to our family and jumped through hoops for us at every turn. He made an incredibly difficult process so much easier, explained everything clearly, walked us through all of our options, and took care of so many things so we didn't have to. We had an issue with an incorrect cause of death after the doctor had already signed off on my mom's death certificate. We felt completely helpless trying to figure out how to reach the doctor and have it corrected. Marquan went above and beyond, contacting the doctor and the state and ultimately helping us get it fixed. I can't explain how much that meant to our family. He also worked with us when there were scheduling issues surrounding our cremation viewing and did everything he could to accommodate our family and make sure we had everything we needed. During one of the hardest times of our lives, Marquan showed us genuine compassion, patience, and kindness. I will forever be grateful that he was the person helping care for my mom and guiding our family through this process. We ordered some things and asked for cremation ashes. When our orders came in, they had gotten one wrong, and when I told them they went into the back to correct it. Mistakes happen, but I don't know how I feel about the handing of dividing ashes in a back room. Regardless, they were pretty accommodating. One other thing, when I was leaving the girl there gave me a big hug upon leaving. Although I appreciate the gesture, I'm not sure how appropriate it is unless the client is the one to initiate it. My sibling was at Davis but they are pricey so this is their sister company and half the price. Sophie wasn't there when we went but we met with Lauren and she was so nice and explained all the pricing and we picked out a beautiful urn for my brother. Also I sent the obituary to Lauren for memory cards and she made beautiful memory cards and actually detailed it using stuff from his obituary. A lot of care went into everything and we would definitely recommend this place.

When I called to get information, they seem very nice. They said they are one of the few funeral…read morehomes that have their own cremation. Most would have you go to another location for that, which I was told it's by law, and it makes sense you can't just have cremation at the residential area/neighborhood. My dad passed away before I could call other funeral homes for info and pricing and since I spoke to Fernando here, I felt I had sufficient information to go ahead and select Casa de Paz Funeraria when I had to make the hard decision and let the hospice know where his body should go to. After we went through all the papers, picked dates, etc. that's where I feel they were disorganized. The timing of the service kept changing on us. At first we were told we have x time but then later they said we have y time...I didn't feel confident in their commitment on timing so it was a little unsettling. On the day of the service, they tried their best to set things up for us. They were respectful to leave us alone and only provided what we need or asked for, which is fine. The facility looks a little dated, FYI. The cremation turned out to be at a different location and it was not aligned with what Fernando said when I first called, so I feel like I was falsely informed. The cremation is about 10 min from the funeral home and it looked like a very nice, modern facility. I also requested later for an additional death certificate and when I called, I gave them my address to send that to yet they some how didn't...I had to call them to follow up and after that, they did. The 2 stars is because I feel like they could have been better with the details. At times when you are already stressed, hurting because you loss a loved one, you need someone you can lean on and count on. I just feel this place is ok but needs alot of nudging and improvements hence the 2 stars.
