I purchased a new Jeep Rubicon from Palmer in Roswell aprx 3 months ago. After the purchase was complete our sales rep Tony White let us know, he was going to give us free oil changes as a courtesy for purchasing the vehicle. Now it's time to get the oil changed so I called the jeep dealership closer to my home, and they told me this "free" oil change would not be honored at their location. So, I called Tony at Palmer and he said oh yea Chrysler just pulled that deal right out from under us and we can't honor that deal either. Our jeep was making rattling noise on the back, we brought it to have is checked and fixed. turns out the glass was not well positioned. they bill us for $580 which represented 2.4 hours of work. I do not condemn them for spending 2.5 hours on such problem but on billing us $232 / hr for such a simple fix. read more

Out of town and needed an electrical issue diagnosed and repaired. Palmer team jumped on the problem and fixed it my RAM. They also fixed a leaking oil pan under warranty--I didn't know I had a leak! With hours of driving at highway speeds ahead of me, that could've been a big problem! read more

Called this dealerships service department and spoke to a great guy who apparently worked in express, recommend Luis as my advisor as he had better knowledge on my 1500's air suspension issues. After about 30 minutes an advisor called back and she'd stated Luis was one of her techs, which was confusing because I was under the impression he was an advisor. Turns out this was the first red flag I should've listened to. As a previous dealership advisor, I get it. It's a competitive, but don't lie to customers... Dropped my truck off that same day and met the gentlemen to spoke on the phone with this first time and expressed my discontent with the advisor who followed up. He assured me he'd get my truck to Luis and his team. Monday, June 23rd, Luis calls me and lets me know my air ride needed to be recalibrated due to the lift I'd installed. 2 hours of labor at 215~. I agreed the service and was relieved that my vehicle was in the hands of someone who didn't speak to me as a couple flag hours for their techs. Unfortunately, one of my sensors burned out my compressor so that bag wouldn't hold the adjustments by the tech. I opted to purchase the air delete kit as this is a common issue for my truck. Picked up my truck Monday afternoon and was thankful for the experience, Luis's professionalism and knowledge impressed me. I parked my truck at the direction of the tech and Luis and ordered the kit. Realized I'd need to air out my bags prior to install and the OBD2 scanned id had plugged in prior to service was missing. I searched my truck and could not find it. Realized it'd be missing since the service since the truck had not been touched by anyone else. Drove from the service lane and parked in the garage. I reached out to Luis and again showed exceptional professionalism, stating his service director would be looped into the conversation as the tech stated he left it in the floor board. The first issue i have is - if I'm paying 215 an hour of labor for premium dealer service, why does the tech throw my scanner in the floor and not plug it back in after service. Had this been the case, the scanner would've been under my seat, which it was not. With over 5 years of automotive experience, I get it. Stuff happens, stuff gets lost, people mess up. It's just a shame when it happens at a dealership because you're expecting the dealership experience, I mean it makes sense when you're paying the dealership premium, right? I'm now out an extra 50 bucks on top of the close to 500 for the labor and processing fee to still have a broken truck and a missing scanner. I will not recommend this dealership. read more

I Purchased a 2021 Ram 1500 from Palmer 8 weeks ago. The salesman was eager to get my business as I had other purchase options from other dealerships. I chose Palmer based on what I THOUGHT at the time was an honest and fair deal. Boy was I wrong!!!! Before agreeing to the purchase price of almost 50k, we did a "We Owe" for them to repair the dash where the leather had pulled loose creating a wrinkle and visable pocket underneath itself. I informed the salesman that unless the dash was repaired, I would not be interested in purchasing the truck. We agreed that I would pay half of the cost of the $1200 cost of the repair. We agreed that i would return the truck to them in a couple weeks after the purchase date to have the repair completed. Upon picking the truck up from Palmer after completion of the repair, I noticed that the leather on the dash was laying smooth with the contours of the dash. I was satisfied that they had lived up to our "we owe" agreement. Six weeks later, the problem has resurfaced. Upon speaking with my salesman, I am being told to "KICK ROCKS". He has informed me that there is nothing that Palmer is willing to do and that I can take it somewhere else and pay to have it repaired. He even had the audacity to tell me that if I wasn't satisfied, I could trade the truck in. (As if I would be willing to do business with them again.) This is not the way you treat your customer, especially after I spent $600 (half the cost of the repair) to have to issue rectified. Palmer Dodge, you should be ashamed. I went in for 3 quick services today. Oil change, brake fluid flush, and 1 tire pressure sensor. I went in thinking that I would be charged around $180-250 total for the services, but after waiting about 4 hours I received a bill for about $650. Nobody wanted to inform me that the tire pressure sensors were $300 until I reached the checkout line. I was able to negotiate the service team down to $430 total after complaining about them attempting to charge $290 for 1 tire pressure sensor install. After I drove off the lot my tire pressure sensor light came back on and I turned around to be refunded. I ending up paying $270 total for my brake flush and oil change only and was able to keep the tire pressure sensor they installed. It's still over priced, but better than $650 total. I'm not sure if they are aware, but you can find a set of 4 mopar OEM tire pressure sensors for about $40-50 on the mopar websites. YOU SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED $300 FOR ONE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR. a tire shop in my area would've installed it for $25-30 Pros: *service is done right most of the time Cons: *I watched two workers back two customers jeep and ram into each other on accident and didn't mention a word or attempt to fix after denting the rams rear bumper. The Jeep was in the service check-in line and the ram was coming off of the lift. *Some old team members left. New members aren't as diligent with customers as previous members. *Takes high amounts of time for quick jobs. *If you decide to wait, sometimes you won't know the price of parts service until you're in the checkout line * parts are literally overpriced by 1000% compared to online or autozone nowadays I'm pretty sure that I could have gotten better, faster, and more affordable service at jiffy lube today. We went back for the first time in 10 years to look and they are the same they were. First the people are smug and rude. The salesman that "helped" us was really rude in person and over text. They completely low ball your trade, because they use AUCTION PRICE!!! We ended up getting 16.5 for my trade and they were offering 13 and then final offer 14. We ended up getting a good deal at Woodstock CDJR, but do not go here. We have done business with Troncalli, Shottenkirk, Ed Voyles, and this is by far the worst one! Bought a used Shelby 350GT, had VERY hard time getting them to follow through with any agreements after car left lot. Brought in to have air charged, sat for 4 hours (with appointment), said they charged it. To still not have air, so took to Ford with extended warranty thinking it had a leak. Ford Said no leak and never charged.... So $548. Also, promised a second key... Nightmare getting it. One issue after another. So, get everything written and have it done before you take any car off the lot because their word doesn't mean anything!!!! read more

I had a great experience with the service department at Palmer. I can't speak to the buying process at all. This is also not a review of the 2021 RAM truck I own. I needed a new dashboard for my RAM 3500 Limited truck because the glue had failed and the leather was bubbling. Hiram ordered the dashboard under warranty and it took over a month to deliver. Once it came in, the service dept installed it and let me know it was ready. However, much to my surprise, RAM decided that the dashboard was no longer going to be covered under warranty. I reached out to RAM Cares and they informed me that they stopped providing financial assistance for this particular leather bubbling dashboard issue just a couple of weeks ago. (Now I understand why people in the message boards call them "Ram Doesn't Care".) The service dept./dealership went ahead and covered the dashboard and the labor to install, charging me only a bit over $200 under my extended warranty plan. I was totally stressed that I was going to have to fight these guys and RAM Cares tooth and nail but Palmer Dodge did the right thing. read more

I recommend the dealership but not the service center. I noticed the interaction with particular customers was much different than with me and this isn't the first time at this service center. Did not care for the service advisor attitude at all. Cleaned my vehicle the day before I brought it in for service. When I came to pickup my vehicle from an oil change and tire rotation-balance my car was covered with grease, oil and hand prints from the front to the back on both sides. This and the attitude is why I can't come here. I like this dealership I've purchased cars here. Their service model is horrible. My wife booked a 9:00 Wednesday AC appointment for her Jeep. As of Friday at noon they had not yet even looked at the car so we have to pick it up and return it Monday. Meanwhile we've been juggling our schedules and sharing my car since, you know, we both have jobs and a life. This is not a one-off occurrence , it happens every time we geo there. You book an appointment and they don't look at it until the next day or the day after. I can't image a more broken business model. I've had a VW for 12+ years and have had it at Nalley VW at least once per year. They make appointments based on when they can actually service my car - shocking I know. Within a 2-3 hours I get a call with the findings / status / repair needs. In dozens of trips I've left my VW overnight exactly once, and it was ready the next day. I inquired through KBB online about selling a car. Multiple car dealerships responded. The Palmer Dodge Chrysler Jeep salesman who reached out to me initially seemed to be the most credible. He was initially polite and professional. However, when we met to talk #'s and I declined his initial offer, citing my desire to wait for better market demand, he became shockingly rude, loud, and demeaning. I didn't think his offer was unreasonable, but just a reflection of low current demand. He could have closed the deal with me - if he had not been so unprofessional. It wasn't what he said. It was his behavior. I'm at another dealership now - just sold the car for $1,500 more than the rude Palmer salesman offered and yelled at me that I'd never do better. Save your time and dignity. If there are any other dealers in your area, run to them. I tried to give Palmer a chance. Twice, in fact. Went to Palmer looking to buy a Wrangler 4xe in 2021. Was met by a salesman in the lot (won't mention his name) and we were pretty much blown off. He pointed to one 4xe and told us we couldn't afford it, then went and helped someone else while we were on a test drive. When we came back with questions, he asked us to toss him the keys because he was busy. Ended up taking my $60k to another dealership for my 4xe. Fast forward to 2023. Went there to look at a Gladiator and wanted to drive home with it. Salesman was nice at first. Took us on a test drive. Came back to his desk - no mention of the up to 15% off deal going on. No mention of 90 days before first payment. Offered $10k off MSRP and said his finance person wasn't in so he couldn't negotiate on our car's payoff or the Gladiator's price. He gave me his cell to follow up the next day, which I did. He never returned my text and didn't call me back. I texted him and asked if there was any update - again, no response. The two things he did say while we were at the dealership, though - they don't need to negotiate because of the zip codes they serve, and I should save my money and wait for the 2024 Gladiators to come out. Overall, not encouraging and not willing to try to make a sale...or even answer me back. There are plenty of Jeep dealers throughout the state. I purchased my Jeep there in 2018. Everything was fine until my last visit. I realize that everyone is still suffering from Covid, and that the best mechanics left to start their own businesses. But I have one word of advice for all of the mechanics and the management. Double check your work. If you ask for a lightbulb to be changed, you would expect it to work. If you disconnect the battery, you should reconnect it and secure it. Even the management tried to blame it on the quick service but I made an appointment days in advance, listing all of the items that I needed done. One excuse after another will not fly. Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 V8 have a known problem with breaking exhaust manifold bolts resulting in a "tick" on cold starts lasting about 30 seconds until the heat expands the metal and closes the leak. Since this is a known issue (years, which Chrysler has chosen not to correct) I figured i would take it to the dealer where I assumed a qualified technician who had performed this repair many times would take care of the issue quickly and efficiently. Called to make the appt and was told this requires for the subframe to be dropped and the cost is 1600. I agreed and also asked that the passenger side be repair as well since dropping the subframe would expose both manifolds. I was told this would add 300 to the repair cost. Agree Take the car in and at that time was told that after discussing with the repair tech he could perform the repair for 1000 without dropping the subframe however because of this the drivers side could not be done for another 300. Also they only need the car overnight. While I was concerned with the deviation from factory recommendation for repair, it was significantly cheaper so i agreed to the new plan. Big mistake. Pickup the care up all good, next day start, silence no leak. Open hood and find wiring harness not in correct location, all the clips and such that secure these things broken, or not reused. Minor issues but then it gets better. I pull on the dip stick only to find it comes out an inch and just hangs, stuck. I crawl under the car to find the dipstick tube just flopping around not attached. I mean by not attached it just floating in air with the dip stick hanging out the end. That way it was sticking, it was catching the end of the tube. Also, by not attaching it leaves hole in the block which allows dirt, debris, or water to enter the engine. left long term this could lead to complete engine failure. So i took a picture of the hanging dipstick tube and drove back to the dealer. All good no problem we will correct the problem. Also told in the process that they short staffed since covid, cannot keep technicians, and they train them "the best we can", this from the service manager. So i am sure at this point i did not get the SAE certified experienced tech who had performed this takes many times. Instead I got an inexperienced uncertified shade tree mechanic who covers up his mistakes and hopes he gets away with it. Pick car up the next day drive home and do my inspection. Dip stick in the block, tight all good, right, nope. Go to pull the dip stick out and again it comes up an inch and hangs. I crawl under the car and the tube is in the block. Strange. I pull out the picture i took and compare the picture to an image of a dip stick tube i found online, surprise. So in the process of short cutting the proper procedure to replace the exhaust manifold my shade tree mechanic broke the dipstick tube off in the block and now they are trying to hide this fact. An inch to an inch and a half of the tube is now stuck in the block. If i had not crawled under the car and taken a picture of the broken tube I would have never known. Because i had the picture they are going to resolve the issue, they need the car a week to do this. hence the reason for the coverup. lets be clear, this was not just the mechanic, management was aware of the broken tube and actively participated in the cover up. read more

My most recent visit with Palmer Dodge Service Dept. was terrible. I waited over 4 hours for a routine oil change. I was informed that the delay was due to my car keys getting misplaced because they were so busy...smh! To make matters worse, in less than 24 hours my car completely shut down and had to be towed to Palmer Dodge for a recheck. There was fluids all over my engine, a broken radiator hose, and a completely damaged starter. The service manager also claimed my engine was potentially done. Such a nightmare experience from a simple oil change! My car was running completely fine before my oil change visit with Palmer Dodge. However, their service team claimed they had nothing to do with the car issues I experienced after my service visit with them. Their management team fails to return any of my calls. I experienced the worst service with Palmer Dodge and do not recommend their services!!!! They are terrible and their mechanics are incompetent. read more

However, a few days has turned to 4 and the service staff refuses to call me back with updates, even after specifically telling I would be called with one. Bottom line, if you need or use your vehicle to work, buy and service your vehicle elsewhere. Palmer Dodge does not respect the time of its customers. You will be given excuses about only having one diesel mechanic, as if the dealership's poor employee recruiting and retention practices are your problem. The dealership called me the follow day (Sunday) and told me nothing was wrong with my vehicle and I could come pick it up. I arrive to get my Jeep and my service codes and lights are still showing with the exception of one (check engine light) a salesman by the name of Shaun gave me misleading information in order to get to leave the dealership with my car in its condition. Not even 5 minutes after leaving I had the same issue from when I dropped it off :( Please just don't waste your time give someone your business who deserves it. staff is absolutely rude. bully style. threatens you that they will not honor/replacement parts in their workmanship warranties. and that they have the right to refuse service. when questioning their unethical upcharges to recoup their own labor cost to replace the part that failed. the lady sarah tells me i will never be able to prove any of this hangs up on me and the manager called back and interrogated me for 15 minutes about my home address and strange questions. the gm is rude strongarmed me to give himself a 5 star review to complete the work and later on proceeds to intiate a claim with my 3rd party warranty and claim the engine is leaking and the entire idler system is shot. my engine was never leaking still not leaking after the job was done. they refuse to show the parts that were replaced. furthermore these idiots drained my coolant as retaliation. people beware check your fluid levels before leaving their shop. what they did not forecast. that my engine bay would make swooshing noise. i immediately pull over 15 miles down the road to find out my coolant is completely drained. i had my 5 year old with me and they try to blow my engine on the hwy?!!!! we had coolant and its never been touched since we purchased the car. and secondly why didnt the idiot mechanic spot this when you did your mandatory diagnosis. theses people are scum. and a danger to this community. i do not recommend this service shop. read more

Do not take your vehicle here for service. Hubby took Jeep in around 4/12/21 for just an oil change. My brand new RayBan sunglasses were in the center console. When I went to get my glasses they were no longer there. Not that they would do anyone else any good as they were prescription! Palmer sent me a survey but I was so mad I couldn't take it until I calmed down. When they sent me the second one, I took the survey and said what had happened. No one has contacted me at all!!! The car I purchased from Palmer, a BRAND NEW CAR, had been repainted, scratched, and delivered to me with issues I had to spend time and effort to resolve once I got the car back home. AVOID this dealership and save yourself from being scammed and lied to and having to deal with heartache and disappointment. Buyer Beware! Bought a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter van and had it delivered. It was supposed to have been inspected for safety prior to delivery. Upon arrival the Sprinter had a check engine light and pulled to the right. I had to take my vehicle an hour away for service where it was found to have been sold with a faulty NOX sensor and missing two camber bolts in the front end. Also, after the sale, when I asked my salesman, Will Blythe, some additional questions, he slow rolled me until he stopped communicating altogether. Have been coming here since I was a little kid when Palmer used to be Nalley across the street (literally, since I was ~7 years old) and am now 24. My last visit will be my last. My family has purchased several vehicles between this location and I religiously take my Grand Cherokee to be serviced here. Maybe 2x it was serviced out of state when I was in school. Right before Christmas I got a flat tire - had to call roadside (through state farm) for assistance. Guy broke my wheel lock key, which is factory locks provided from jeep. Discount Tire had to break that lock off to get my new tire on, whatever. Went to Palmer to get a replacement key so I could take the old ones off and install new set. Told me they wouldn't sell me a new key but service has a master set. Service told me no worries they would take all my locks and lugs off and put on a new set I brought with me (was looking for an excuse to switch to black ones anyways). Nearly 3 hours later I come back and they just pulled my car out - with the old chrome still - and they tell me they banged my wheel up hammering off a lock. Weird, they told me they had a master set of keys. Then waited another 45 min for them to put the black locks one they had from the start. They told me they'd cover wheel resurfacing , then told me they'd only cover half, after they charged me $200 in labor to do essentially nothing the first 3 hours and throw in a bashed up rim. Went back to have my wheel resurfaced and it looks horrendous. Like I took a spray paint can to it - half the wheel looks like a matte black when the wheels are shiny gloss finish. Horrible experience - and they know this, I left a review with their automated email immediately when I left and had a text from a service manager named David that he would call me first thing in the morning to make this right. I left a previous review but I was bullied into taking it down by the dealership, so to back up I had an extremely negative experience experience with an employee named rich, he is a smooth talker but has zero people skills or self respect, I understand why they keep him in the back and off the sales floor, I simply asked for an Uber home since my car was being worked on but he immediately started being sarcastic and making fun of my water bottle and lunch and peoples boy friends.. tbh it was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have had in my entire life. So I write a review about that some one in corporate sees it and I'm asked to take it down and give them another shot, which I do. I'm open minded and like to give people chances, I really shouldn't have here tho, now they do a 180 and become impossible to reach or contact, I'm calling the entire week even going in trying to figure out what's going on with my car and nothing ... finally I reach some one Friday morning and they say "it's being worked on you'll have it by the end of the day" 630 pm rolls around and I still haven't heard anything from Sarah who is my representative; up until this point she had actually been pretty helpful but after that previous scenario I talked about with rich and also became impossible to reach and refused to answer any questions I had ... back to the point I call the dealership around 630 and a mechanic picks up the phone says "your car has been ready since 12 pm you are more than welcome to come pick it up but every one else has gone home so you will have to do an online payment" Fast forward about a week later and I'm having water issues in my car, I call the dealership on Wednesday which is when I was told the "water guy" around 9 am they say oh of course just bring it in any time before 4 and he can look at it ... so I bring it in around noon or so and HE IS NOT IN TODAY BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER. So as of this point I am washing my hands of this place. I recommend you do the same I understand all dealerships have their issues but the extremely unprofessional attitude of this place and the frustrations I have experienced warrant a one star review (this one I will not be taking down) and me finding a new place to take my Jeep. read more

December 5, 2023, I had my 2020 Ram 1500 Limited truck towed to the dealership for issues with my ETorque/MGU/alternator. Simple warranty replacement in 3 days. I was all smiles when they told me I could pick up my truck the afternoon of Dec 8th. THEN THE NIGHTMARE STARTED The check engine light came on with a P0507 code (performance idle speed higher than normal). The techs replaced a vacuum hose and that didn't fix the problem. So they told me they ordered a 2nd hose and that it'd be in the next day. They replaced the vacuum hose again and low and behold, these were never the problem. *The tech and tech foreman don't know how to diagnose this generic P0507 code so they've passed it on to the "Ram Engineers" on Dec 12th. The problem with this is that the techs communicate with the engineers via email. They send them an inquiry and it may be 3-5 business days before the engineer replies. It appears to me that they don't know any more about this code than the techs and tech foreman do. So here I am after 6 weeks and several parts that the dealership has been throwing at my truck and still no fix. Over this same 6 week period and 8 different inquiries from me the owner, is that "Ram Engineering" is still trying to diagnose this P0507 code Oh, by the way, they tell me I don't qualify for a loaner truck. So here I sit going into week 7, still house bound without transportation and my life on hold. I wrote off the largest Dodge dealership in the southeast 20+ years ago for unacceptable Customer Service thinking they the bad apple. Palmer is my second dealership in the past few months that also has very poor service. TAKE-AWAY: Find a reputable automotive repair shop that honors not only warranty work, but more importantly, honors and respects their customers. Trust me, they're out there. read more
