When asked what were the dishes most appreciated by customers he said the scallops and the short ribs. We both laughed that our last meal at a nice place was scoops served with short ribs... We went for the halibut, and were not disappointed. The fish was nicely seared and creatively served with peach chutney, broccoli salad with shaved almond, golden raisins, radish... (I cheated and copied that from the website.). It was a very well executed dish. My wife brought back a considerable portion for our small dog to enjoy. We had a wedge salad that was as good as any I have had. Nice touch. Desert was a single Sticky Toffee Pudding covered with Vanilla Bean ice cream. The pudding had no chocolate, yet it convinced both of us that it did have rich chocolate. It's a date based dessert. We enjoyed speaking with two of the owners Chris and his wife Dakota. Both were very engaging people. Chris was seen frequently checking on guests, organizing things, etc. They stopped by and spoke at length more than once. The place is busy and noisy, do be aware. If you were planning a business meeting this would be a good place to go AFTER the discussions are over. It's a must go place in Greenville. Try. it.

The RW menu was an incredible deal--three courses of appetizers, entrées, and desserts that absolutely wowed the entire table! I wish I'd taken more photos, but we were all too eager to dive in. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance: elegant and upscale, yet completely welcoming whether you're dressed casual or glammed up. If you appreciate fine wine, they boast around 16,000 bottles in their collection--so if you're a sommelier looking for a rare favorite, chances are they have it! Everything we tried was exceptional! Fresh salads featuring local greens, fruits, and cheeses, plus a rich She-Crab soup layered with sherry that struck the ultimate balance between complex flavor and rustic comfort. A bone-in pork chop served with sauerkraut and cabbage that couldn't have been better executed. Our server was an absolute pro--with impressive menu knowledge--and recommended the Wagyu steak and Lion's Mane mushrooms. The steak portion was so generous that we got to enjoy incredible steak-and-eggs for breakfast at home the next morning! A peach pudding created by their talented Brazilian pastry chef. Imagine peach cobbler, but turned up to a dreamlike level--packed with pure nostalgic comfort, light as a cloud, and ridiculously delicious. Soby's provided the absolute best grand finale for our weekend together. Thank you for such a wonderful memory!

The building is incredible and the food is a high end, totally worth it southern vibe. Our hosts know the owner and he stopped by and chatted and was a great guy! Sincere and truly caring. Why not 5 stars? Was a little too hot inside, so we were really aware of our temperature and stickiness. I get it, it's the south, but they either need to turn the air up or get better ventilation. And our waiter, while kind and informative, really pushed the booze. First the wine list upon seating, we said no wine for our group and he still spent two minutes telling us the high end, hard to find, bottle they carry. When we ordered non alcoholic drinks he then pushed the mocktails, and other ideas for fancy upsells. I understand the bill isn't as high without booze, but we always tip generously when servers don't make us feel bad for not drinking...or carry on with suggestions. Otherwise the place was great.

Tables are filled quickly but serviced fast. Food comes out hot and fresh. Dining area is a bit loud during lunch. We ordered the cheddar hushpuppies( soft and melts in the mouth) and nola grilled gulf oysters (savory;garlic butter, herbs, parmgiano-regiano, pecorino romano, crusty bread) for our appetizers. We loved the nola grilled oysters it is so fresh and delicous. We decided to try a platter of different kinds of oysters. My favorite is the sweet jesus( Maryland oysters ;sweet and clean, less salty). Also tryed a dozen of the happy hour barcat oysters from Chesapeake Bay Virginia ( meaty texture;salty to sweet finish). The most fresh tasting oysters I've tasted in the east coast. They shuck the oysters for you too. For our main plate we both had the charleston shrimp burger(housemade shrimp pattie, lettuce, tomato, charred lemon caper tartar sauce, brioche bun). The shrimp burger is amazing!!!!The best seafood burger I've ever tasted on the east coast. I would recommend 10/10. The photo can be deceiving, quality of the shrimp pattie is unmatched on the east coast. Overall, this restaurant is excellent for fresh seafood. There is more seafood menu items other then oysters and shrimp, looking forward for our next visit!!!!

I love the city and the people. Fall for Greenville is fantastic!! Onto my review -- I was visiting Greenville for work this past week and was staying at the Aloft. I did a quick online search for a new food / dining destination when i saw ABYSS... Since it is right beside my hotel I decide to give it a go! Wow, what a treat. I sat at the bar. Bartender was top shelf Ali i think... She made me a paper plane without having to look it up . The happy hour menu was a pretty amazing value so i tried a couple of pieces from it. Bluefin "nachos" ie wontons.... Great!! Scallops and bacon sliders.. great!! Then I decided to also add the Wagyu - crispy rice. Also great!! But you know what else really sets this place apart? The Fries! Crazy but here's my take. Everyone is doing fancy pretentious, parm, truffle garlic blah blah blah.... These fries had a unique slender (thin but wide) cut, seasoned lightly. and cooked to perfection. you can tell they take it all very seriously here. from the Chefs all the way to the greeters. It's like they all took Yes chef training at "The Bear" IYKYK...Fantastic attentive service. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

The bathroom floors also remained wet and slippery for about an hour. The ladies' room had no toilet tissue or paper towels, only a hand dryer, which was surprising considering they had just opened for the day. The food was hit or miss. The medium-hot salsa was yummy, but the chips didn't taste fresh. We ordered freshly made queso, but by the time it arrived at our table, a skin had already formed across the top, which wasn't very appetizing. The steak fajitas themselves were good. I wasn't a fan of the cheese or sour cream that came with them, though. The cheese had an unusual texture that I've never seen before, and the sour cream was very watery. Both the black beans and pinto beans were also swimming in liquid. The bright spot was definitely the service. Kendall was friendly, attentive, and took great care of us throughout our meal. Since the restaurant has just opened, hopefully some of these issues are simply opening-day kinks that will get worked out. There were things we enjoyed, especially the service, salsa, and steak fajitas, but the cleanliness/restroom issues and some of the food quality and presentation need improvement.

The "thin crust" was a stale tortilla that I couldn't even cut. The vegetables were luke warm. I ate most of it because I was hungry, not because I liked. You can't come to Greenville and spend the day at the Jazz Festival without enjoying a night out,…read moreand Coupe's Corner was the perfect choice! After spending the day downtown, we went back to refresh and headed over to Coupe's Corner for the evening. When we first pulled up and saw a line outside, we almost changed our minds. Thankfully, we stayed because the line moved surprisingly fast. We probably waited no more than 10 minutes, and we even met some really nice people while waiting. Once inside, we quickly realized the space is much larger than it appears from the outside. In addition to the indoor area, there's a patio space in the back that gives you even more room to enjoy the atmosphere. It was definitely crowded, but in a good way. The energy was great, the crowd was mature and age-appropriate, and the overall vibe was exactly what we were looking for. The music was on point, with different music playing inside and outside, giving guests options depending on their mood. The drinks were phenomenal, and our bartender was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Although they serve food, we didn't get a chance to try it because the kitchen was closing for the night. Since they're located downtown and close at midnight, the kitchen closes accordingly. However, our bartender shared that they're opening a second location that will stay open later, which means longer kitchen hours as well. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. Service, atmosphere, music, and drinks were all top-tier. The only minor thing worth mentioning is that the hallway connecting the indoor and outdoor areas is a bit narrow and can become congested, especially since it's also where the restrooms are located. Overall, this place gets a solid 10 out of 10 from me. Great service, great drinks, great music, and an amazing atmosphere. The vibe was absolutely vibing, and I would definitely return the next time I'm in Greenville.

Let's talk about the drinks because whew the key lime pie martini was everything. Sweet, smooth, and dangerously good. And the strawberry cheesecake shot? Baby. Dessert in a glass! You can tell they put thought into their cocktail menu. Now the food? Chef's kiss. The glazed shrimp had the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the seared ahi tuna was fresh and flavorful. But those maple sautéed Brussels sprouts? I could've ordered a second plate just for myself. I also love that they switch it up with events, R&B nights are a whole mood, and if you catch them on a Wednesday, the outdoor patio is the perfect spot to unwind. Overall, Coupes Corner delivered on food, drinks, and energy. Definitely a spot I'll be back to whenever I'm in Greenville!
