Rooftop = Vibes Dining room = Dinner This restaurant experience is stunning, yes; but my biggest recommendation is to remove the high tops on the roof. The roof is a total dance and drink vibe - and done well! But it was quite awkward for us to have to reserve tables that were essentially on the dance floor and in the middle of where people wanted to congregate. I loved the vibe but wished we had dinner downstairs and partied upstairs. The menu is also more bites and small plates in lieu of dinner whereas the downstairs dining room has the full menu. The upstairs also has a different check in system so if you did indeed make rooftop rezzies just say so at the front and they'll have you walk upstairs to check in. Despite being in the middle of the chaos the bites were pretty good but were priced high for what you get. I wish we had just gone upstairs for drinks! There is also a credit card charge, so be advised. The parking was fine- it's in a free lot a few hundred feet away but there is a gate near the back of the lot that shortcuts you to the restaurant. Overall I want to try the actual restaurant but the rooftop while cool doesn't need the high tops intercepting the dance floor and bar vibes. I feel as though other restaurants with beautiful interiors have more quality food for better prices.

This is my favorite ATL rooftop! I have been four times now, so they're overdue for a review! Location and Parking Conveniently located in Midtown, Palo Santo has free parking in a designated lot with an attendant. You have to walk through a gate and down some stairs to enter the building; a gate code is provided when you make a reservation (a must for the rooftop). Venue and Atmosphere You pass through the main dining room, and up a large flight of stairs to the roof. I've never eaten in the main room, but the vibes are dark, moody, and romantic. The rooftop has a separate host stand, and restrooms before passing through the stately wooden door to the actual roof. The vibes are tropical and breezy, yet sophisticated. Stay until sunset for gorgeous illuminated views of the city. There is a DJ every weekend; the playlists are always amazing. The rooftop is covered in care of inclement weather. Food and Beverages I've only had their unlimited champagne special; but I've heard good things about the cocktails. The guacamole, bao buns, gyoza, and strip steak are all noteworthy. I've ordered them multiple times and the quality is deliciously consistent. Service Service was friendly and efficient; our drinks were refilled promptly. Verdict I'll be back for the 5th (and 6th and 7th...) time!

Came here with Tasting Collective for a 5 course menu, and every bite was fantastic! So good that I tried to get a seat at the next dinner, but of course it had long been sold out. The branzino was so perfectly tender, and was even delicious reheated the next day. I think the key to this place is having a group that wants to share appetizers. I don't know that I would have loved this as much if I hadn't tried all the things we had. Do not miss out on the corn à la plancha; I've been craving it since the dinner. The staff was attentive too.

This restaurant is kind of tucked away and absolutely beautiful. The aesthetics make you feel like you've stepped into Tulum. It was raining when we arrived, but they had valet service and even offered umbrellas for the walk in--which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. I went here on a date, and he did an amazing job picking this spot. The vibe is nice and dim, perfect for a night out. Our server, Bella, was fantastic--her recommendations were on point. The Death Bloom cocktail I ordered has been on my mind ever since my first sip; I still think about it to this day. For dinner, I ordered the skirt steak, and my date had the mushroom rice with steak. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. Definitely order the mushroom rice--it's so flavorful. The portion sizes were generous, and after dinner we went upstairs to another bar with a DJ. The rooftop views were gorgeous and added the perfect ending to the night. I can't wait to go back and try more!

So upon arriving we were seating at a table right in front of the kitchen. After ordering our appetizers we had to ask to be moved as there was so much smoke our eyes were watering. Since we were a larger party we moved to a table to the right which helped a bit but not much. Our server was great he broke down the drink and food menu and did his best to manage all tables. I did order a second drink that I never received, but outside of that he was great. In the end we were promoted to pay via an app which outside the 20% gratuity it also charged a $4.99 fee which I found odd. While there was a manager who was walking around frequently he never came by to ask about service or our food. I ordered the branzino which was good outside the fact it isn't served with anything. Someone else at the table ordered lamb chops and said they weren't seasoned the dips on the side helped. The appetizers were all good especially the corn and potatoes.

Visited here on a Thursday night for a quick bite and drink. Decided on the rooftop because I wasn't super hungry and wanted to get the rooftop vibe. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted. It was quiet for the night and the rooftop is very festive for the holidays. I decided on the Rudolph Spritz from the holiday drink menu and the hotstone shrimp + mushroom rice. Everything was good but the mushroom rice w/ added steak was AMAZING. Probably one of the best things I've had out in a while. Ended the night with a Paloma. Will definitely be back.

I was here for a private event. The food in the service was exceptional. The lining is very dim, even though that there is a light on the table. It's a very cozy and intimate space. I'm glad that they do have self parking. That is free even though you do have to walk down two sets of stairs to get to the front entrance from that self parking lot. The parking lot is a decent size, but I still would suggest coming earlier rather than later. I can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu and experience the rooftop.

Finally came back for dinner. I had the duck which was delicious. I will definitely be back for that again.

Finally tried the roof top at palo santo. Got there at 7 but the crowd comes at 11:00 pm. Valet parking is $10 and self parking is also $10... not sure why. Parking is at entrance number 9 and a short walk away from the door. We reserved a table for the night and then after that's was done enjoyed the music . This restaurant is beautiful. I've been trying mocktails since I stopped alcohol this year. The virgin margarita was a strong 7. It had a bit of an after taste that might be solved when tequila is placed in the drink. Try the yuzu salt rim for your margarita. It's to die for. A bottle of water is 8.00 and the only choice for water. There is an extra roof top charge as well. The food is small but not the price of tapas. With a tip, the fees add up quickly lol. I'll be back to try the burnt cheese cake but I may take it to go. No fuss. Heat lamps made the dance floor hot and the greeting at the door was a little off.

Who doesn't love a venue with a password?! Exclusivity, done well, can be everything--and Palo Santo certainly made it worth our while. Beautiful decor that feels more like Morocco than Atlanta. Gorgeous rooftop boasting beautiful city skyline views. A broad array of appetizers designed to appeal to many palates--my personal fave was the short rib dumplings & allllll the nigiri. All this plus bottomless bubbles?! Already looking forward to my next visit!

The ambiance of this restaurant is incredible. We joined our friends for a birthday dinner and had a set menu that did not disappoint. The cauliflower at this place is top tier, even the next day!! The grilled chicken was competing with another one of my favorite spots. It was so fresh and tender. I also really enjoyed their shrimp, it had a lot of flavor and the temperature was perfect. The service was prompt, efficient and polite. They kept the drinks flowing and addressed all our needs. The churro dessert was delicious. My hubby even enjoyed it and he is not a dessert person. The upstairs area is nice. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay long but they appeared to be playing house music while we were up there. I cannot wait to return to try some of their other menu options

The food was great, especially the mushroom rice It was unexpectedly very delicious. The server was really nice but she kept recommending higher priced menu items even though they didnt fit our palette. I got some great pictures there, loved the rustic feel and the fact that there was a rooftop.

PALO SANTO WAS A OK | we were excited to check out the newest hippest restaurant in west midtown. Parking was godawful. Usually in west midtown, you can drive around to find street parking or a self parking lot. Unfortunately, Palo Santo is located a bit further out from the other restaurants and I would have felt uncomfortable walking in the pitch black darkness down the street from the major hub of restaurants. Parking was valet only and a huge mess in the tiny entrance/lot of cars trying to get in/get out. I ordered the Santo Carajillo, their take on an espresso martini, which was a fun cocktail that comes in a mokapot. It was my first time trying a carajillo, and to this day has been one of my favorite takes on the ever popular espresso martini. We started with some apps, including the las bravas, guacamole to share with the table, and the hamachi tostada. The guacamole was served in a beautiful bowl but kind of small for a table to share. The las bravas came pre-mixed - the server mixed it in the savory sauce upon arrival which was pretty tasty - and a better value for the amount of potatoes you get. The hamachi tostada was my favorite of the 3, really just made for one person but is topped with uni and is a decadent umami bite. For our mains, we ordered the Carne Asada which comes with a rich and meaty bone marrow, as well as the Mushrooms Rice. I felt like the seasoning on the mushrooms rice were was a little inconsistent - the dish was bland but when I tried another friend's rice, theirs was fine. So that was a little disappointing. We ended the night with a few desserts - one of each on the menu, to be exact. I think it was the best part of the evening - the churros, the chocolate bomb and the charcoal smoked panna cotta. Flavors on all 3 desserts were spot on and I would probably order each again. The chocolate bomb is perfect if you love chocolate molten lava cakes and the churros dessert was a fun take on the classic snack. We considered grabbing a drink on the rooftop before calling it a night but got kicked out shortly after we headed upstairs since one guy in our group was wearing a baseball cap. Nice. Overall, I wasn't super impressed. There are a lot of new vibe-y restaurants popping up in Atlanta to choose from - so unless the kinks have been ironed out in the past couple years, I probably won't be back to Palo Santo any time soon.

It was a rainy day and my dad and I had arrived before I started grad school at Ga Tech. Our server was an Electrical Engineering student at Tech. It was appreciated after the typical chaos of moving to a new city that he happened over here my dad and I talking and he shared he went to Tech. Over the 2 decades since, I've brought friends who live here and from outside the city to enjoy the great serving and kitchen staff. My wife and I have been many times including on the restaurant's anniversary night last fall. We are sorry to hear the landlord has decided to raise the rent and sell the property. Heather has been our server multiple times. She was our server tonight as we celebrated my wife's birthday with her parents, aunt and sister. From calamari to the desert platter and entrees in between, the food was incredible. The fried lobster tails are a must. The mouse has been my wife's favorite for years. The one note is Jacob the General Manager needs to learn to trust his servers. At the beginning of the meal I let Heather know despite being a party of 7 to just bring the check to me and I'll settle up with the other guests via Venmo. And, at as we were finishing dessert, Heather came by letting me know the next party for our table was had arrived and could she bring our check. I said yes. While Heather was getting our check ($490 Food & $600+ after tip) the Manager came by telling us we needed to finish up and have our check brought. When I asked the Manager to not make this an unpleasant experience and that coming by after Heather had just communicated the situation and I had agreed she told me I should share this feedback with the General Manager. She, Jacob (GM), and I stood on the front patio where I explained what I'm sharing now: Trust your Servers. He said they were front facing and so the management likes to meet the guests. Having your Manager tell us we need to get our check and leave is not the way to meet your guests. Chef Jack and his wife (the owners) are hospitable and trust and appreciate their staff. Jacob having his Manager micromanage the servers management of tables is nowhere close the focus on service the owners have had for 26 years. I hope that Jacob and the Manager take this as a learning moment that if you hire talented people your trust talented people to bring their talents to their job. Sure it was busy. But, that's why Chef Jack hired the staff he hired. Jacob the GM needs to increase the communication with his talented team instead of using the excuse of being front facing to ever overstep their bounds on the relationship his servers have built with his guests. Heather introduced herself when we sat down. Jacob did not - nor should he have. Heather did a phenomenal job making us feel welcome, have food and drink we enjoyed, and even recognizing my wife's birthday with her favorite desert. And when the time came she handled coordinating bringing the bill and having us free the table so a new group could enjoy an evening at Agave. Jacob and the Manager need to trust their staff more. Micro-management is never a good look for your staff's morale or your guests' impressions. Please go see them for Jan 31st 2026 when they close. The servers are all wonderful as are the owners. And the food is like nothing else in Atlanta. The management simply needs to trust the talented staff from front to back of house with whom they get to work. If they're ever in doubt if a server is either providing the level of service they expect or turning tables at the rate needed to keep pace with reservations then talk to the server. The server needs to own their tables. Management should truly be of service to their staff - and you can only do that with trust and communication. Customers should never know management had a single question if the sever was doing what's needed. Because it's a bad look to come by twice about being the check. Especially when the 2nd time is in between the 1st ask if they could and the server bring the check. Of note, I already had my credit card out so that I could hand it to Heather as soon as she returned with the check. And in front of the manager, I handed Heather my credit card. Everything else was great. But, why rush guests?

Now that I know the kind of delectable creations this group makes, worth experimenting!. 3 It wasn't a 5* experience because of the service. I think our waiter was brand new to being a waiter. Ignoring me and my thirst. Once I got served I was better. 4 But then when I ordered food to go to eat for dinner at home.... He charged a 20% tip... Saying it was the group service tax. I protested that wasn't fair or right. I paid for my drink separately with the 20% and everybody else had food there and actually had service. He had forgotten to put in my to-go order so I actually had to order and wait until after everybody had left and they had cleared the table to get my to-go order and he still charged me 20% to to go dinners. His excuse was that it was the computer and there was nothing he could do about it. I CALL BS ... Somebody who actually cared about creating a good service experience for a large group, particularly ones that many of them had never been there before.
