There were people at the very last table at the very end in the very back but yet they wanted to see us real close to each other because they only had one waitress which I understand but I came to pay my money here they can take two steps to the left for the one time they were going to bring my food so we can have a private conversation. But the woman did not like that so she never not one single time came to check on us we literally had to hunt her down seven times. I kept seeing her go to the same tables so I decided to get up and ask her if she could take our order and she looked at me and told me she would be right there but took the time to stare into my eyes like if I was a child we had been waiting for a long time so I don't know what She was mad about. We had to hunt her down for coffee, for A1 sauce, to add toast to our order. NOT A SINGLE TIME did she check on us & was rude in general. I don't need to pay $70 to hunt down a waitress and to be treated like I'm bothering, I know how to make coffee and eggs for $10. She is getting paid to make people feel welcomed and have a good breakfast. I feel for her that she has to be the only waitress but that doesn't give her the right to take it out on me I am also a paying customer and honestly her job is not that hard. We actually came here because my mom bought a house right behind it and we were hoping we found our weekend spot and we are very disappointed because the one in Pomona is pretty nice. To the owner I hope you can train your employees to at least give decent service let alone not a bad service. So pleased to see Pancakes R Us in the neighborhood! We love the Pomona location and we're excited to have a closer place to get our pancake fix! (Not a fan of that international pancake house). My love and I went today for breakfast and we were not disappointed. We split the ground beef, spinach, and, avocado omelette. I was able to swap out the buttermilk pancakes for the country nut cakes for an additional $1.79. Worth it! They did not apply a split plate charge, which was appreciated. I wish I had taken a photo when the omelette arrived. It looked so pretty! The omelette was hot and stuffed full with vegetables and beef. The avocado was delicious and fresh! The salsa was not hot but flavorful. The pancakes were nutty, hearty, and comforting. They have 5 different syrups available at the table. Yum!! The menu is extensive. A lot of different pancakes, combos, sandwiches, and dinners. Breakfast is served all day. The senior menu, which is 55+, has several breakfast choices but only 2 dinner choices. Which is okay because they don't have a split plate charge so, budget conscious customers and folks with smaller appetites can share. We are giving 5 stars to the male server that waited on us this Thurday morning. He had the entire restaurant by himself which in completely uncalled for. He was serving 25 tables by himself plus cashing out , seating and serving food. He did an awesome job. However when we were leaving more help came in. Another server and a manager. The manager was very rude to the server that had just worked the entire restaurant by himself. The way she was talking to him was uncalled for. If your customers could hear the rudeness and be offended how do you think your server felt. She gets no stars. read more

She was looking for a new breakfast place for her and friend (groupies) in the Sewing club to have monthly breakfast gathering .We wanted to check out the place, the food quality, cleanliness and the service before recommending it to the rest of the Ladies in the sewing Club... Upon entrance I noticed that the decor was a bit dated and reminded me of going to Carrows back in the day. It was busy, so we had to wait a few minutes to get seated. Once it was our turn we were seated and our drink order was taken. After a short time the waitress came over and took our order. I observed that the staff were constantly moving serving, cleaning and checking on customers. Once our food arrived it looked just like the pictures, however my husband wanted his corned beef hash fried a little harder. I had the cinnamon roll french toast with bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. We have been to the Pomona location a number of times and really enjoy it. This location is a mess! We were seated in a reasonable amount of time especially for a Sunday. Got our drinks quickly and our orders were taken shortly after. The problem came in waiting for our food. It took 40 minutes to get our food. All the tables around us were the same way. No one checked on us or even apologized for the wait. When my husband asked to speak to a manager he was told they don't actually have one on weekends. What?! Really bad customer service. I finally came in today... like someone else mentioned, the prices are kind of high, and the hash browns are an additional $1.89...i didnt get any because most of the time, they suck...maybe they were good here, but i didnt try them. I got eggs, sausage and french toast. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, nice and fluffy, no burnt spots. The sausage was good, and the french toast was cooked to perfection...not to hard, not too soft....just fine. I think the waiter was trying a little too hard...but i guess thats better than being ignored. Its better than ihop or dennys, and a little more expensive too. Why would you go to Denny's or IHOP, when this gem is in your town?? The short: fresh food, that was reasonably priced, served by friendly staff.
