Burrito Carnitas Especial & Carne Asada a La Ab
    Catherine N.

We've driven past here a few times and it's usually busy, so we decided to come try it out. They have a valet parking lot or there's paid street parking. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks. The food was good, but nothing stood out to me. For a Mexican restaurant, it's on the pricier side but you have to consider that it's in MB. The portions were good for an entree per person.

Ceviche was pretty good, my husband really enjoyed it.

The staff was very friendly and greeted us with smiles. The restaurant was beautifully covered in plants. There are little ponds in throughout the restaurant. The place was lively, and the wait for our food was not very long even though they were very busy. My meal was good, my husband was not completely satisfied with his shrimp tostada salad. Which also included a small amount of rice. He felt that there was an excessive amount of salad spring mix in the meal but it was a "salad" sooooo.... the tostada itself was crunchy and delicious. My enchilada trio of cheese, chicken, and shredded beef was good but would have been a bit better if I would have gotten all cheese enchiladas. I ordered the chicken and shredded beef to share with my husband but he didn't particularly like the chicken or shredded beef. The rice and beans were very good. We had delicious sautéed vegetables and an appetizer of ceviche that we also enjoyed.

Great customer service, great food, good location. I will definitely be back. I have the children with cheese enchiladas Carne Asada, enchiladas, shrimp tacos, which are still good the next day. The tres leches cake was OK. The fried ice cream was cool.

Parking: Restaurant has valet parking for $6. I didn't see the sign and parked at public lot across the street and it's $5 for the max 2 hours. If staying longer- valet! Large restaurant with two levels with multiple areas. Bar with TV screens and plenty of tables. Inside dining area we were at had open air feel. Decorated in that traditional mexican way. Service was attentive. Large menu of choices with description of each item. Guacamole was creamy and delicious. Chips were crispy and way. The mole was filling and tasty. Enchiladas were filled with a lot of meat. we split, I preferred the mole. The star was the flan! it did remind me of the Filipino flan. It was very creamy and not too sweet. margarita was just ok. I've had better. it was blended and ice was not as smooth. Didn't have much alcohol in it.

The atmosphere and decor here is a fun and lively vibe. We parked about a block away down the hill in the city lot by the Strand and walked up, which worked out well for an early dinner since the lot closes at 8 p.m. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, especially since it was our first visit. She offered great recommendations, and we were started off with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was a bit too spicy for me, so we ordered pico de gallo and guacamole instead. For our mains, we chose the Especial de Cabo which is a shrimp and chicken plate with rice, and the puffy shrimp tacos, which came with rice and beans. The guacamole and the Cabo dish both needed a bit of salt and pepper, as they tasted somewhat bland. We liked the puffy taco shells, but the sauce had a bit too much heat for my taste. In the end, the dishes we ordered was either too bland or too spicy. At least our waitress attentive and they played Dodgers game on the TV screen.

The food here is delicious. I've tried the burrito del mar and the shrimp diabla puffy tacos and both are tasty. The burrito is tender and has a decent amount of shrimp and crab meat inside. The shrimp diabla puffy tacos are flavorful. Although the price is a bit on the higher side, it's worth it. Service is good and the greenery is very relaxing.

    3. Cheese Enchilada and Chile Relleno Combinacion
    Carlton C.

We ordered the Chili Colorado (beef) and the Cheese Enchilada + Chile Relleno combination. Both dishes were filling and delicious! The house margaritas were also generously sized and tasty! The server was friendly and attentive. We were fortunate to have visited on a Monday night and enjoyed the weekly comedy show. Would definitely repeat the full experience!

Pancho's is great. We go to the one here in Manhattan Beach and also the one on Centinela in Culver City. Both are great. This one is so cute. There is so much to look at inside. It is always clean and can get crowded. I don't know if they take reservations. This time we got food to go and all of it was great. What really stands out is their guacamole. It is thick and loaded with avocado and always fresh. Their tacos are wonderful and there is not a burrito you will not love--but I get the sour cream on the side. Their rice and beans are tasty and they make their own tortillas. To me, that is a big deal. They have a great happy hour. Their margaritas are so good--I order mine without salt, but you do you. The prices are fair for what you get. I think you will be happy here.

Pancho's is a Manhattan Beach institution. Typical "SoCal" Mexican food, it was a great moment to reconnect with old friends over margaritas, tacos, and salsa. Service pleasant, polite, and efficient. I veered from my standard taco/enchilada combo and ordered shrimp and mango tacos. It was delicious and perfect after the work day. The classic margarita on the rocks completed the meal (note the empty glass in the photo lol). The beach is three blocks away. Great for a walk after. Street parking or valet parking available.

First time back in several years. Service was good. Food was good, nothing over the top. City lot across the street was free for the holidays, valet Parking is $6. Prices are about average for the area. Nice old style Mexican restaurant with large menu selection. Service was fast.

The food & ambiance here are great. It looks so beautiful on the inside and feels like you're in Mexico! This is my favorite place to get mole. The salmon was also a hit! Bonus, they serve free chips & salsa!

Does Pancho's still offer the free birthday combination with a second paid meal of equal value?

    I'm not sure...

How much would it cost for two people to eat here plus maybe two drinks of alcohol each?

About $ 100.00 but you will enjoy the food, drinks and music. Great place to take your girlfriend or wife .

Would this be a good place for a baby shower?

Depends on the time of day & where you're seated in the restaurant. You should scope it out one day around the time you'd like to have it.

    Do they have mariachi's?

Hi Laura yes we do however only on cinco de mayo. thanks for your question hope too see you there thanks! Abbott Lawrence

Unfortunately, each time I feel that the service isn't quite the same. Nothing huge but little things here and there. But I recently came for happy hour on a Saturday, sat at the bar by myself, and was not acknowledged for almost 15 minutes. What made it worse was there were gentlemen on either side of me who got another beverage and the check without me getting a menu. They even noticed and gave me their menus! And said they'll try to get the bartenders attention for me. *awkward* but also so nice of them. I eventually ordered - my beverages were delicious and the food was good. We were staying near LAX and I didn't want to drive too far, so we stumbled upon this Mexican spot in the cutest little downtown area ever. El Segundo, you are THAT b*tch! We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately (thank goodness). Our server was super duper friendly and even had multiple conversations with us throughout the meal, sharing anecdotes and talking to my tattoo artist friend about getting a tat from her LOL. We quickly ordered some chips and queso (not free) and were blown away by how creamy and tasty the queso was. The tortas were also delicious and easy to scoop a lot of cheese on to. On to the menu, they had a good variety of Mexican dishes, but the price point, man. I thought $4-5 a taco at Barrio Queen in Arizona was steep, but this place charged $7-8 for a single small taco. I would've been okay with any menu item since it's Mexican and nothing under that cuisine could be bad, but seeing each enchilada over $30, made me steer clear of the main entree dishes. I also knew I wanted to try fish tacos, so I just opted for one fish taco and one grilled taco, with a side of mashed black beans. Crazy that some black beans also were at least $5. The fish taco was nicely battered and the guacamole was ripe and creamy, but the grilled chicken taco was nothing spectacular. There was also cauliflower tacos and beef brisket tacos ordered among us. My friend who ordered the beef brisket taco rated it 7.5/10, whereas the cauliflower tacos were rated 9/10. The food also took at least 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Both sauces my tacos came with were extremely spicy so I didn't even touch those. My friends enjoyed their meals, and the side of green rice two of them got was rather tasty. Overall, our server was the best part of the experience. She really ate DOWN, whereas our food and the price point did not.

He's been coming to this location since before I was born and I'm damn near 40. But this time I came alone and the place was packed. They don't have a big seating area. It's like a bar with about four seats to the right and four seat seats to the left so it doesn't accommodate many people, so people order to go. And that was my plan. I walk in and the server (with his chef at and money taped to it) and I grab the same menu. He allows me to have it, and he grabs another and gives it to one of the customers. I say all this to say that he definitely knows exactly when I arrived. However, A white man walks up less than a minute later and for some reason he decides to ask him if he ready to order, as if I'm invisible. This was the second time that this happened to me today and God knows how many times has happened to me in life. Our server was very attentive, kind, patient, and accommodating. For example, when my sister in law asked if there was a kid's menu for her children, the server politely stated that they didn't have one. However, he immediately picked up on the fact that these kids were highly fussy and picky eaters, and offered up buttered noodles, something that was not on the menu. The kids ended up loving this. I, on the other hand, was disappointed with most of the food I had. If I had to rate the food, it would be 3 stars. I ordered the MB Post Burger, which comes with a 1/2 pound grilled patty, American Cheese, applewood bacon, and honey chipotle aioli, between English muffin buns. I added a sunny side up egg to it for an extra few bucks. The burger was messy, and difficult to eat. Ended up having to eat it with a fork and knife. I expected the egg to be a bit runny, but it was cooked all the way through. All in all, it wasn't enjoyable to eat. The crispy fries were not any better. To me, they tasted overly fried. The only thing I thought was exceptional was the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuit with the whipped honey butter. It was buttery and crispy goodness. This item alone is worth coming back to this restaurant. Overall, this place is a solid 4 star restaurant. If you're planning on visiting this place, I have to warn you that parking may be a real pain to find since the area is very popular with beach goers. Things were exacerbated over the weekend due to a volleyball tournament. Had to drive around for like 30 minutes to find parking.
