Stopped by on our city walk. You have to order from a kiosk once you're in the student union but it didn't take very long. I like how you can choose a regular dine in plate to reduce waste. If you do want to take it to go, they'll charge you $2.50. The menu is a bit different than your usual Panda Express menus and I'm not sure whether prices are increased. My hubby got the two entree plate with two sides - kung pao chicken, honey walnut shrimp, greens, and chow mein. I got the bowl with white rice and orange chicken. Everything was decent. You have to use their kiosk to order food and then pick it up at the counter. To get takeout, you pay an extra $2.50!!! I chose to dine in to save some money. The spread looked pretty fresh. I got the 3 item combo that includes lo mein, orange chicken, hot orange chicken and beijing beef. The portions were amazing and the food was so tasty! The orange chicken is typical. The hot version really had some kick to it, which I appreciated. The beijing beef was good, as well. You know what to expect here and I'm just glad they give such generous portions. I just wished their take out option didn't add $2.50 to the meal price. I look forward to coming back here again! Plenty of seating in this dining hall at Boston University. Grabbed some dinner here while visiting a family member on campus. The portions are great and so are the prices! I think the prices were adjusted for the students. Two entrees and a side were only $10! This location has the Beyond Orange Chicken which is a good vegan option. The service is fast and they have plenty of sauce packets to choose and enjoy from! read more

Hey, I realize that Panda is not authentic, but I think it's tasty. Found this location in BU's student union food court. Ordering is weird (can't talk to a human these days, it's wall mounted kiosks here at BU!), but whatever. Food came out quickly, and although I had selected "soy sauce" at the condiments tab on the fancy kiosk, as well as "add utensils, napkin, and cookie", none of that was actually provided in my boxed meal, I had to get all my own extras from the self-service buffet of items next to the food pickip station. When I couldn't find soy sauce packets in the extras station, I actually talked to a college kid and asked where it was. His response, "We don't have soy sauce today." LOL. Okay, whatever. Finally, I opened my utensil pouch to dig into my tasty, non-authentic, too-dry-and-in-desperate-need-of-soy-sauce rice, I realized that the utensils were "eco-friendly" (read scratchy wooden utensils that make the wooden spoons in ice cream cups seem gourmet)! Listen, it was still pretty tasty, and for $10 it was probably cheaper than any other spot on Comm Ave. I'll probably be back. read more

Not sure if it's because I was so depressed and so hungry that anything would taste good, but this is the best Panda Express I've ever eaten at in my whole life. The chicken wasn't fatty, the veggies were crispy, the noodles tasted fresh, the Pepsi can was fizzy! Or, is. I'm still eating, actually. I was so snapped out of my funk that i had to write a review. Worst Panda Express. I used to come here very often. After recent visits, I will say avoid this place. I was pissed today. I asked for 1 bowl. The entree was orange chicken, I only got 6 pieces of small chunks (no larger than the size of thumbs) and I was charged around $7. Then I asked about my friend who ate here at lunch time. He ordered teriyaki chicken and only got 2 pieces of chicken. FUCKING 2 pieces and charged for $7. We finally figure out that they hire 2 newAsian girls who seem to serve small potions on purpose! I don't know if it is these 2 employees' problem or this Panda Express does this on purpose. Anyway, avoid this Panda Express, horrible employee, no standard. You have to take into consideration that this is a Panda Express...aka...its not real chinese food. So on top of that note, this Panda (compared to all other Panda's I have been to) is a-ok. As they say now... NO! Don't go here. First, we had to clarify "Entree" vs "Side." Apparently, rice is an ENTREE. Other Pandas, they do not make this distinction... Then, they put about a full i pieces of chicken in the tray. $6. I asked them about it, and they dug in: "It's only one spoonful per." $6. Never. Go. Here. Here is a pic of what you get for $6 plus tax, plus front-end lacking customer service skill. They warned me, my co-workers: "Don't go here." I didn't listen. GSU Panda Express = AVOID!!! I am probably going to die sooner or later because of how much of their food I eat. All that american chinese can possibly not be good for me. BUT, I still love it. Its cheap and 100% oily junk. It has made surviving in school without knowing how to cook easier. It has, of course, also made me ** pounds heavier. Sometimes I think I am the only person who loves them so much. BU opened this Panda Express at the very beginning of my senior year, replacing a very mediocre Burger King. It was the happiest and saddest food moment of my college life, as I was ecstatic to finally have an option for decent, Chinese-ish food in Boston (and I could pay with it using my dining points, to boot) but sad they hadn't opened it sooner! Plus, I was tiring of Aesop's, Cranberry Farms, and cold, soggy BK "chicken nuggets" being my only food choices in the GSU. (Current students, you don't know HOW well you've got it.) So, basically, it's a Panda Express. It's not real Chinese food, it's mall Chinese food. But it's still stir-fried-rice-and-noodles-with-fortune-cookies-and-chopsticks, and that made me a very, very happy student. My favorites were Orange Chicken (pretty self-explanatory,) Mongolian Chicken (chicken with mushrooms and other veggies,) and my all-time-fave, Mandarin Chicken (which is in a light gingery sauce.) I often switched between Panda Bowls of these with fried rice, which is fluffy and not too greasy, and the chow mein, which is closer to lo mein, really. It goes well with those Lipton Real Iced Teas they sell in the drink case. Anyway, I ate here once or twice a week during senior year thanks to the fabulous 9-Plus Plan. Having known it is not authentic Asian food, or, more specifically, not real Chinese food. I still gave it a try and found some dishes quite good. Their stuff are most of the time friendly unless a few of them, obviously part-time workers, would cut the size of the rice or dishes to such an extent that you have to tell her that you are not keeping an diet nor consider yourself overweighted. This place is pretty good for quick American Chinese food, but don't get the chow mein. The noodles are tough to eat, covered with a thin layer of greese, and are pretty much tasteless. The mixed vegetables were fresh and crunchy however, I liked those. read more

Yesterday was my first time at a Panda Express. (Brighton, MI) The picture of the Shanghai Angus Beef looked so good I ordered it. When I got home, I was VERY disappointed that there was not ONE asparagus tip in the entire dish, as the picture represented. All I got were stalks, and only one was edible. The beef, however, was very good; tender and tasty and pink inside. Would have liked more mushrooms, as they were good too. The side I got was Chow Mein, and it was very good. I did not realize my Shanghai Beef was served ON TOP of the Chow Mein. I felt a bit ripped-off, as the entree was made to look bigger than it actually was, being heaped on top of the Chow Mein. The bottom of my bowl was lined with raw cabbage leaves, and it was at a perfect "soft yet crunchy" state by the time I got to it. Problem was, that most of the cabbage was cut from the bottom, so not only was it unappetizing in looks, it was inedible. I'm pretty peeved about their misrepresentation, and that for the cost of this meal, I was still hungry when I finished. read more
