I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PANDA EXPRESS! I visit this location often, it's close to home and for the most part quick service. As a customer I try my best to put myself in the workers/manager's position. I try to remain calm and be patient. Today as I went in, I had to wait for my food to be made, which happens probably every time I come in. It's fine though, I prefer fresh food. But the thing that made me EXTREMELY upset was it seemed as if the cook was sick. I am very cautious with my health, especially with the corona virus being active and the other sicknesses in the world. But this poor young man was coughing as he was cooking. He turned away, but at least from what I know(my job, WITHOUT working with food) if you have a cough you must be sent home. Even though he turns away, he is still putting his sickness in the air. Allowing it to contaminate the air quality around him. I do not blame this young man for doing his job. But I do blame Panda Express for allowing him to work even though he is visibly sick and coughing. It seems they don't care about health of the employee or the customers. Which disappoints me the most. I believe it is against labor laws to allow the worker to work. I will not be returning to this panda. If needed, I will drive 30 minutes to Lompoc if I want Panda Express. I am most disappointed with this Panda Express. read more

Just went in last night just before closing and as I went to pay my wife payed with a 100 and the manager said it was faulty , so I pulled my wallet out and gave him a 100 I had and he also said mine was also faulty. And since they were faulty he said he'd had to keep them and turn them into the police by law . Both 100s used were real and from Walmart and the well fargo in Lompoc . So after talking to another employee about what I should do they referred me to call the company and make a report on him or call the police , so as I was going to call the police he immediately gave me back the bills and told me to never come back . So once I get back into Lompoc I go to a gas station use the same 100 and ask if they can check they were real with there machines and they said it was 100% real . Idk why but the mama her at panda in Buellton definitely needs to reported for trying to keep and lie to a customer about there money being fake . Going to definitely call corporate! Wow.....have been here 3 times since their opening and each time the visit is significantly worse! Regretably I will not be returning. Lukewarm food, limited availability of dishes (empty or near empty containers), customers asking employees to refill tea dispenser, no cup lids, dirty tables, apathetic customer service, etc. The "icing on the cake"; no measly fortune cookies offered after spending $18 for a small bowl and styrofoam container of blah food. Remarkably this was on a Saturday night around 7:00 pm when you would think you might expect the best experience. There were not many customers and there seemed to be enough "slow moving" employees so couldn't see why the issues. Is it the pay/training/ management? I actually suggested to an employee he/they visit the Lompoc Panda to see how it's supposed to be done. His response: "haven't been there". Too bad as Buellton could have used a decent Pandas. Won't surprise me if this one goes the way of Buellton's former Chipotle's: "out of business". Next time I will take my business across the parking lot to The Habit. read more

Went to Panda Express in Buellton when it first opened. It was ok. Went back last evening and got orange chicken, chicken egg roll and chow mein. We are both sick this morning with some stuff I won't even discuss here. We know we are sick from Panda Express. We will NEVER go back. read more

I have always been raised to be polite to everyone, especially employees. This location has always had really great employees that are super friendly. A few being Yara, Jesus, and Dominique. Dominique was especially kind and enthusiastic helping myself and my friend, and even thanked us for being polite (which everyone should be). She gave huge portions of food and made the whole experience great and absolutely made our night. I already loved this panda but the incredible staff makes it 5 stars!!!! read more

If I could do zero stars I would! I had the worst experience with a cashier/server named Valerie. I went there last Friday at 3 pm right after having a great time in Solvang at the Santa Inez church. After dealing with this employee, Valerie it just messed up our afternoon. She was horribly rude with a bad sort of gangster wanabee attitude. She didn't even greet us and when I asked for some crispy shrimp (which I always order) she said no that there was none at that store. Every store has always made it without trouble. Even my husband pointed to the sign they have there stating that "they can gladly make the food you ask for from their menu" but that girl refused to. She was just plain mean the entire time even when we asked for a well done piece of Teriyaki Chicken she laughed at me and said "do you want to pick the next thing too." To top it off, their food was all dried up and there wasn't even anyone back there cooking anymore so we took what we could. Have been here several times...we like the food, restaurant is always clean, workers are very efficient and pleasant. Only once came late and food was not good/old...otherwise we love it. read more
