I get making money but ripping travelers off is another. $20 for a plate of food is just robbery. The food was prepared poorly too as the orange chicken was lacking cooked on sauce. A few years ago Panda Express did away with their Sweet Fire Chicken. It was flavorful and just a little kick. It was my favorite. I've had to since replace that with Orange Chicken... Meh. Today, my husband stopped to pick up lunch as a surprise for me and asked for Sweet and Sour Chicken, based on what he knew I ordered sweet fire chicken. He received Dynamite Sweet and Sour chicken. This has to be the most disgusting chicken I've ever eaten. You don't taste chicken, you just taste hot. Too hot. 08/14/2026, I went to Panda Express Moanalua, I witnessed a male worker who was serving my plate, touch his beard, spilled noodles from my plate onto the counter, scooped up the noodles with his dirty hand. He then looked at me smiled & continued to pack my plate. Upon receiving my food I asked the employee to make a new plate, due to what I witnessed. The employee's response was a blank look, (sigh) & started talking Filipino to the manager. I did receive a new plate, but can you imagine if this employee with the same tactics of being careless, just came back from the restroom & did not wash his hands & served food? No accountability on behalf of management, which is very unprofessional. What will it take for health code compliance & policies to be followed? As a customer, I am concerned & disappointed that such event went down & hope & pray that others were not affected by such event. Let this be a wake up call to food production places such as this Panda Express & the consumers that simple gestures like so can affect peoples health. Was hungry again, off to another eatery and why not Chinese food? Lez go... Shopping is exhausting and I wanna eat some comfort food that my tastebud is familiar with. Upon entering the staffs greeted us. A lot of plenty seats are what welcomes me and love how cleaned this location too. Even there comfort room was cleaned and smells good. Food: I got fried rice with lumpia & long beans with pork. It was oily & definitely tastes the MSG but oh boy, can't go wrong with this combo. It was so ONOLICIOUS! Pro tip: Due to the high foot/drive thru traffic here, the entrees are usually fresher than other locations where they just sit for a while and look not that appetizing. But because of the amount of customers that visit this location (a lot of service men and women and those living in the area), you'll probably wait in line. Unless you're super lucky. This place keeps cutting corners. Ordered a 2 choice "plate" with chow mein/greens, walnut shrimp and chicken mushroom separate. This is what I received. This isn't a plate! It's a bowl (and I use that term loosely). The serving was smaller than than my daughter "bowl". Husband ordered (new) spicy shrimp, he said it was bland. I love pandas, no doubt about it. But this location specifically I would not recommend going to. To my knowledge, this location is the only one on island that's drive-thru. I went on a Saturday night at around 8pm on 1/24/26. I wasn't able to see the guys name tag but the information I have should be enough to zero in on a guy. He was very passive-aggressive, when I ordered my food he was chuckling like I was the one who was confused and just making me feel like a dummy. That was the reason why I was getting upset because instead of trying to understand my order, he kept laughing like something was funny? He proceeded to put my order in wrong but at that point I really did not care, I just wanted to get my food and never see him again. Once I get to the window. He made a remark, saying something like, "don't worry, you're not the only customer to get this confused". That ticked me off even more because I wasn't the confused one, I have ordered my plate the same for YEARS and not once has any worker gotten it wrong, even in the mainland!! I repeated my order once again to clear any confusion he had, and guess what, he understood then. But instead of upgrading my plate to my initial order, he offered me a side, on top of the plate he made for me (which also costed extra this way) I just paid for it because I didn't want to confuse him even more. I paid for a bag too but he almost forgot to give it to me before I asked. He looked at me like "why are you still here?" After giving us our food, I asked for the bag, he asks very slowly, "do you want me to bag that for you". My bro please use your brain, you were supposed to bag it before giving us our food but you failed. I'm not gonna wait another 10 minutes for you to take your sweet ass time to fix your mistake. Chinese Fast Food is their specialty and overall it's a satisfying tasty meal when they have a full menu available. Tonight, was one of those nights that I chose 2 chicken dishes and their yummy honey walnut shrimp and all veggies because they were out of their Angus Steak. All in all, a good meal for a good price that satisfied my urge for something other that typical burger or chicken sandwich from other establishments near by. Bonus! They ask for a donation. AGAIN, I challenge Panda to make a dollar donation on behalf of every customer that makes a purchase instead of asking their customers to make a donation. Love this location because of the drive thru :) friendly workers and when I ordered broccoli beef, the worker asked if I was okay waiting a few minutes. I appreciate how professional and kind they are. Food was good and quick! I highly recommend this Panda! So...why only 4 stars instead of 5? I specifically mentioned that I had a coupon/receipt for a free entree. I was told to just pull up to the cashier window. When I was ready to pay, the cashier said "you have the coupon". This review is regarding my catered experience. Big mahalo to manager Ledda for helping me quantify my needs to feed 150 residents in the Next Step Shelter with my partners at Doris Miller Lodge #6. We want to do a service project for Chinese New Year in a few weeks and what better way then to provide noodles for longevity! Ledda helped me to estimate the number of large party packs I would need to feed 150. The catering menu offers a variety of choices. "No MSG added" is really good to know! After we decided on the entrees and sides, I was pleased to learn that our party pack will also include their signature fortune cookies! The Next Step residents will appreciate this I'm sure :) Before I cashed out, Ledda checked with their chef to make sure the date and time is fine for pick up. He also confirmed that our entrees and sides would be no problem at all to complete our order. Now all we do is roll up with a pickup and ring in the new lunar year, gung hee fat choy! The only place I've been to lately that thinks "customer service" means what the customer must do for them. Would give zero stars for rudeness and complete lack of customer service. If for my next order I get to choose between the woman I dealt with or Attila the Hun, I honestly don't know which I'd choose. We ordered our meal through their app to be picked up at 5:30. We thought it was an estimated time and not a contractual obligation. My kids our errands a bit early and went up to the drive thru. "Hi, we put in an order for pick up at 5:30. Is there any way we can get it earlier?" "What's the name?" "There's no order under that name." "If you said 5:30, then you need to come back at 5:30." So my kids and I drove to the parking lot, parked our car, and waited 40 minutes until 5:30. Drove back up at our mandatory time "Your order is now ready. Go the the window." The 2-star is for the convivence of having a Drive Thru.. but you checking that your order is accurate before leaving is completely up to you. I've been to this location maybe a handful of times and they're either out of food and have to wait in the parking lot for 10-15 mins or you get home and it's completely wrong or something is missing. Last night during the visit we were met on the Speaker with a girl that kept rushing to take our order by saying "Is that it?" every time we spoke.. that normally wouldn't bother me but then when we got our plates our Chicken rolls were missing. I don't mind being rushed but at least make sure my shit is accurate before meeting me with over confident attitude like you're "that" good at your job. Anyway, they handed us the missing items and when we got home it was cold and mushy. Probably was doing us a favor by not giving it to us in the first place. Anyway .. I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. I've just had my first bad experience at Panda Express at Moanalua Shopping Center. My wife and I ordered string beans & chicken and Kung pao chicken with super greens. When we got home we discovered the broccoli had greyish black discolorations. Needless to say it ruined our appetites. I don't understand how anyone would think it was okay to serve veggies that looked this bad. Next time I'll check the order before I leave the drive though. I went through the driveway and I ordered a plate with chowmein and walnut shrimp. I was super excited and then when I got it was full of my surprise all hard vegetables. I was really disappointed because I didn't have Panda Express for a long time. The service was fast. I definitely got the old batch and it was dissatisfying. I will not be going for a while.
