I came here either a BOGO coupon I received in the mail. I have to admit it's been a few years since I visited a panda express. Joe B was helping me and was very kind and informative and had great customer service. I took both my entrées home and they were excellent quality. Unfortunately, there wasn't any brown rice for me to order but the white rice tasted great. The restaurant looked clean. Portions are not dished out consistently and equally. A man in front of me received 3 scoops of one entree, 3 heaping scoops of another entree, noodles overflowing in his take out box. My turn- the F employee took a scoop of entree, then shaked it off so extra would fall off spoon FOR MY 2 ENTREE, I ordered the 2 entree also. I'm female.The employee clearly was dishing out waaay less to me versus the man in front of me. Same item. Same price. I am so sick of Panda and Chipolte portion discretion. The man left his bag at check out. I lifted it to move it. IT WAS atleast TWICE AS HEAVY as mine. Same price. 2 entree plate. He got more bc he is a man. When you're in a hurry and need carbs that REMIND you of Chinese food. Service is usually fast. Food is always hot. A great mix of spicy (mild) and no spice. Orange chicken is usually big favorite for everyone I know. However I typically prefer the Angus steak or Bejing beef. I wish they used less sugar in most of their items, but it's fast food. High sugar and fat are to be expected. read more

Food is always made hot and fresh and the restaurant is always clean or being cleaned by staff which I greatly appreciate. Servers are incredibly professional and courteous which is amazing because they are all teenagers! Russian boy with a winning smile and curly light hair was so sweet and helped my daughter who didn't know what she wanted. He suggested orange chicken because his little sister loves it too! Well short and sweet. Ordered a Large Orange Chicken and a Small Sweetfire Chicken and a Chicken Eggroll. Taste of the food was fine. Sweetfire Chicken could have been a little fresher. But the big problem is just that. It wasn't big. I received the "Large" Orange Chicken but received a non Panda Express designed box that look like it had been picked up at a party supply store. The large was 4 x 3.5 x 4 and I was charged $10.20. This was a medium sized box. I've ordered the large before and this is a rip off. The small was 3 x 2.5 x 2.75. Their sizes have changed and the only way you'll know is when it's too late and you've already been charged for them. So the best thing is to just order a 2 or 3 entree meal. Shame on Panda Express for taking advantage of their customers during this stressful time. read more

Walked in at 8, they didn't have enough walnut shrimp for an order so they shorted me. I asked if they had more Orange chicken and they said that was all they had. which was not even enough for an order. How is this possible? I told them I would wait and I so I waited. I needed 2 plates both with orange chicken because that's all they We're willing to make. Once I was ready to pay I told the cashier that I couldn't believe they were almost empty when there was one hour till closing time. She told me that I could just not pay and take my business elsewhere. When my credit card was already out ready to pay. This is very rude not to mention horrible customer service. read more

I had the most Terrible experience I will not be returning. I called to put in an order over the phone. The guy tells me they can't take over the phone orders, I asked why? he's just like you have to do it online. I told him I had a very small order with a special request. he says put in the special instructions in the app rushing me off the phone. The last time I put special instructions in the app it cut off half of the instructions and they made my order wrong. Fast forward I make it to the restaurant to go to the shelf and pick my food up. So I read the receipt which has a large super greens with no corn starch sauce on it. I start to walk out the door but something tells me to ask the guy if they excluded the cornstarch sauce. He tells me they didn't exclude it, and that the super greens comes like that before they cook it, which is a lie. So I explain to him that I order it this way all of the time, and he says they don't do it that way just brushing me off. He didn't know it but I have an allergy to cornstarch and I'm diabetic so I don't eat it. I have called many times and ordered no car starch sauce and because it's so simple to omit it they've never had an issue with accommodating me. So this guys like pretty much calling me a liar. At this point I'm very upset because he was going to let me walk out with exactly what I did not order, and he did not care. I waited all of that time ordering online just to get what I didn't order. I've only been to Panda Express about 5 times. The Lake Zurich location is better than the other two I went to. Got a little bigger portion and it tasted better. It's clean and the food is fresh. My favorite is the honey walnut shrimp. The shrimp was fresh with that little snap to it when bitten into. I didn't give 5 stars because when I do, the next time I go in it isn't the same. read more

My daughter got a hair in her food!! What is worse is the woman at the counter, Maria, she was so rude. I do not like going to this store,as she is always rude & gives small portions. But today when i brought the lo-mein up to her to show her the hair, she SHOOK the box, opened it up and said "i don't see it!" Wow! R u kidding me? The food is consistently good and decently priced. Unfortunately this location seems to have a service issue. It seems like what I want is often not available. They usually say it will only be 5 minutes to refill the tray but it is often much longer. You can see the disappointment on the faces of those who are waiting off to the side for more food. Today marks the second time I have walked out of the LZ location. We had a coupon and they stated that the wording was confusing and misleading for customers and they had complaints, so they refused to honor it. From our past experiences, we knew going in that their customer service was bad but thought we would give them another try because of the coupon. Big mistake! About a year ago, two of us came in during the dinner hour and food trays were empty. People had to wait for the staff to cook food to complete their orders. It took way too long so we left. In my personal opinion, this is a disappointing location. The trays are mostly empty during the dinner hours and this is when they should be full. It's very stressful to buy takeout from here because there's always a wait and confusion. We've been to the Panda on Dundee Rd which is always busy and there are no problems there. Naperville, the same, no problems, Edens Plaza in Skokie, no problems. But this Lake Zurich Location, ALWAYS a problem.....it needs new management or a visit from The Profit. read more

And I had to wait on a dish of beef and broccoli, and the counter worker went to help another customer that came in, and the cook came and finished up my order for me.
