I went to this Panda Express after a tiring sports game to add some cheer to my day. However, the exact opposite happened. I asked for a bowl with steamed vegetables and chow mein, and the girl gave me a bowl with basically all vegetables and a thin nonexistent layer of chow mein. I have been eating at Panda Express for the past 5 years, and I usually loved their noodles and vegetables. However, these noodles were dry and lacking and the vegetables were cooked in some weird oil that gave them an unpalatable taste. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to any Panda Express in the future thanks to this terrible experience. It is just 'hit and miss' with many fast - food Chinese places, and from the reviews, this restaurant is no exception, though people like me who like rice and noodle dishes rarely have difficulty with the menu and the rice and noodle dishes here are quite good for what you spend. There are lots of local clientele for this particular location, so do not be made strange if the help just ignores you while speaking with repeat customers. I would use this food store more as the portions and so forth are generous and tasty, but am not into the style of 'fast gourmet' food served by this chain right now. This location has plenty of inside seating and I've never had a problem getting a table, but I've never come here for the lunch or dinner rush. My experience has always been that the food has been fresh with generous servings. Generally, the area could be a little cleaner. It seems like one or two tables are always left with trash on them. I visited this place about 3:30 pm. The restaurant had 3 customers who were already seated and 3 workers. The girl was busy with some stainless steel containers and there were two other workers at the cash registers. After about 5 minutes the girl tells the 2 other workers, "customer". the 2 workers looked at me and continued playing with the cash register. They didn't even acknowledge me. I think one of them was being trained as they were pushing buttons on the register and laughing. After another 3 or 4 minutes I just left. I can't comment on the food but the service was horrible. Oh my god this place is awful. Much like the previous poster, I go here when I'm in a hurry and it is close to where I work. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. My main problem is the service. I'm a nice guy and don't ask that much from my shopping or dining experience other than that my order be filled. But the pure lack of caring and rudeness hits you right in the face the minute you walk in the door. When I am stuck going there, I go in as if it's my first time and walk out wondering "maybe they will change someone around eventually". I'd like to point out there's a short 5'1" dark haired young woman (she's not like hideous or anything) that works there that I think despises me. Worst fired rice I ever had. I got there the Saturday after thanksgiving evening 7:30pm. I am not gonna common on the pushy service, I was a little hesitant on what to get. I got fried rice and it is disgusting!!!!! The taste is moldy sour. Even my kids who like all ranges of fried rice only took one bite. I cook rice myself. Very unsatisfying, unacceptable, overall experiences due to many reasons. Few selections available that weren't dried out. Ordered Golden Szechuan Fish bowl with chow mein. Was told it was currently unavailable but could be cooked in 4 minutes and that she'd bring it right out to me. Accepted that as I wanted something fresh and the fish looked appetizing so I ordered it. Also disappointed that I was told was NOT told it would cost me an extra $1.25 until I got to the register to pay. Cashier told me I could order something else. Didn't want to be a pest as I assumed it was already being cooked. Chose to order it anyways and wait. She also said she'd bring it right out to me once it was cooked. Disappointingly found iced tea container empty. Not many other choices for diabetic folks like me who don't like diet Pepsi. Most tables were dirty. The one I chose appeared clean but was sticky. Tried to eat chow mein while waiting but it had way too many onions to be edible. Restaurant was not busy as it was near closing time. Waited and waited while the cooks, server, and cashier talked and talked and began closing. Continued waiting for over 10 minutes trying to make eye contact with them to see if they had forgotten me. Finally got frustrated and got up and asked if my food was ready. The girl nervously looked around and said it'd just be a few more minutes. I looked puzzlingly at her and began returning to my seat when I saw the cook just begin to put the fish in the fryer. I looked at her and said, "He hasn't even started on it yet has he?" She laughingly apologized for his error saying he sometimes doesn't get things right unless she makes eye contact with him while asking. To her credit she offered me some free orange chicken while I waited (only thing that went right the whole visit) Fish finally came and I found it to be way too sweet and spicy. I have high thresholds for these tastes but this was way over the top. Overall frustrating spending $9.39 on smallest serving and drink to wait an overly long time to sit at a sticky table to eat unappetizing food and not be able to wash it down without a sugary tasting drink. Tried to communicate this unsatisfying experience I just typed above through their website only to be frustrated to find it limits is 400 character (That's right characters not words). Tried to communicate my dissatisfaction to 800 number automated feedback only to be cut off after trying to record 20 seconds of audio. Tried to call back and waited on hold to get a human being only to eventually be dumped to an anonymous voice mail box. We'll see if they call me back. Super fail in multiple ways... Usually I don't do online ordering for pickup since Taco Bell has given me such a bad taste in how that works. I figured we have been in this particular Panda store with reasonable results (DONT GO TO HOLLISTER PANDA!). I setup the online order well over an hour before we wanted it and the charge to our card was made within about 5 minutes of submitting the order. the website is nice and easy - Good experiece (the one star I have to give). Then the person sent to pickup the order was told there was order made and no food ready for pickup. No record of nothing! I had to send copies of the email and screen shots of the website order to my pickup person and the store to make this happen for a three person order. Whats the point? I used to really like the relatively decent quality & convenience of Panda Express. But sadly, not this one right in my back yard! One bad service experience could be a bad day, the employee, ... but 4 out of 5 times bad service??? And each time a buffet of bad experiences? I've been there in the late morning, afternoon and evening...so we can't even blame it on one shift. On my last visit it was the evening, as others have noted they were light on staff & I believe the Mgr step up to help me out. Surely I thought this will be a good experience! What I got were the smallest portions I've ever had at a Panda. I guess she wanted to make me an object lesson to her staff in expense control through portion control! Just my luck, I thought, I got the manager! and I was hungry too!!! By the way, whenever I come in late at night I feel like I'm taking #1 my life into my hands because they pull way back on cooking anything fresh and try to sell out every last dish AND I believe try to stretch those out through as any customers as they can. One dish they served us for those reasons, I think it was the pepper steak, was almost inedible because it was 70% pepper sauce and 20% pepper and 10% steak. And #2 like they really don't want to be there and don't want me to be there and God forbid a few other people come in for a late night dinner like me... we could be there for a long time because they cut the staff & the prepared dishes back so far. So in summary, this Panda appears to be in a death spiral of cost control... business is bad, so reduce costs in food and labor, but that's what made business bad in the 1st place! My recently experience at Panda Express @ store #1246 was horrible. When my wife asked for brown rice, the staff informed her that they had ran out without letting her know how long it will take for the new ones to be made. Upon further asking, the other staff in the kitchen told my wife that it will take 2 hours to make new batch. When we are ordering beverages, I asked for a hot cup of water but was refused without stating any reason. The cashier then ask me to see if I am okay with hot tab water - which I agreed. When I was eating my food, I overheard their conversation that my hot tab water will not be served to me because they do not serve hot water - even tab. Even after the conversation, not one staff behind the counter made an effort to inform me that my hot tab water will not be served. I left the establishment after I felt like the staff there (besides Tyler A. and another gentleman who just came back from break) did not make any effort to do their job and walk the extra mile like the other Panda Express store I dined at. Upon further review on Yelp, it has only contained 2 star rating and that there are numerous complaints in regards to staff attitude for store #1246. I've eaten here several times and just don't understand why this one is rated so low. Each time the staff is quite friendly and are happy to offer me a sample of whatever new flavor they have. The product is quite consistent and never have I had food poisoning. The food is average Chinese, about what you expect and pay for when going to a Panda Express. The Orange Chicken is rather enjoyable as is the Bejing Beef. I just had the Honey Walnut Shrimp and was also satisfied. The fried rice is the most inconsistent as a few times it has been too dry. The portion sizes are a bit weak for the price in my opinion. It seems that if you order your food to go, they offer you more food since the container is larger than the 'for here' plate. The potstickers are pretty good as well and I'll get a small side if I'm feeling hungry. The location could be staffed with an extra person the majority of the time since when there is a line, it can take a while to get in and out defeating the Express portion of their name. Overall a clean location and one that I'll go back to again and again. I have found the food quality here to be better than Mr. Hong's or Great Wall which is why I come back, despite my tendency to support the smaller man the majority of the time. read more

The concept of keeping everything stocked during the busier hours of the day seems to have been missed. I love Panda Express. Every time i have been they have had excellent food. I really recommend the eggplant, along with the orange chicken. I always order the same thing from the because 1. I cant handle spicy things, and 2. The orange chicken, eggplant, rice, and noodle things(cant remember the name) all mix to form a spectacular combo. This is the last time I will pick up food from this Panda Express. Every time I visit they are out of something in my order and I have to wait. No apologies or offers to try to keep my business. Today I visited at 5pm, prime time for dinners they should be prepared. I was told I would have to wait ten minutesfor the Teriyaki Chicken. I waited over 30 minutes, the rest of my order had been sitting there kinda pushed into the case. I asked for fresh everything, not unreasonable as my food had been sitting there for a half an hour getting cold. I was told there was no more Chinese Spare Ribs so they could not satisfy my request, however my food "should be warm it was in the case" REALLY??? I drove home anothe 5 minutes and it was all cold except for the Teriyaki Chicken... I was offered nothing for my exceptional wait, not even soy sauce... Another "guest" had also waited a half an hour for something with her hungry children... This is the last time I will ever visit this establishment. This or something just like this has happened once a month or more for the last 2 years! I truly feel sorry for the staff, they are under supplied and poorly trained, not their fault. My boyfriend now feels queezy....I DO MOT RECOMMEND THIS PANDA EXPRESS, try another location. read more
