2 item plate with minimal teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef, white rice and chow mein.
    Ilene M.

Ordered through DoorDash to be delivered to my hotel thinking I would be able to stretch the meal into two meals. What a disappointment. I ordered a two item plate with Chicken Teriyaki, Broccoli Beef, white rice and chow mein plus Cream Cheese Rangoon. You can see in the photo there were about six pieces of beef and a bit more of the chicken. Looked like they got the portion for the rice correct, but the chow mein must have been served with a tablespoon. The meats were dry even with the sauce I requested. Speaking of requests I asked for 3 teriyaki sauces and received one. Asked for napkins and received none.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The portion size was very generous and everything was freshly cooked.

Smallest portions ever. Ordered $26 for a "Bigger Plate" to have delivered, sorry sometimes we're lazy. The chow mien and fried rice were put on top of each other. Why? One chicken entrée was undercooked and one was overdone and crunchy. They somehow also tasted the same. Our beef came in a side cup, but didn't even fill it. When we called to report the lack of quality and portion we were told it was the fault of the delivery app. How? Please take responsibility of your food. Also, they don't serve potstickers. Ever.

I did not like this Panda Express location before. I have been picking up dinners mainly for my mom more often and I have seen an improvement. The food used to sit there for a long time and start drying out but now it looks like there are new batches of each item being made more often. What I like is you can request them to make a new batch. I usually only have to wait 5-10 minutes and it is worth it. The customer service has been great every time. Even though the shopping center is small I always find parking.

    1. All staff were wearing properly fitted masks , had hair nets, and gloves on. 2.They no longer give samples on toothpicks, but will put a sample in your meal. 3. Clean , clean, clean. Staff kept everything wiped down. 4. EVERYONE was polite and helpful. 5. Did was good.

We ordered through Uber eats last night and processed order, the driver came to pick up and cancelled order because they were closed and wouldn't let him in. We came in today and their signature dish- orange chicken was less than average. The chicken was really tough and hard to bite. Their rice was stale but their chowmein was good. They staff was great and very accommodating. I will chalk off the quality being that it is after 1pm lunch rush.

Came in with my dad. We ordered plates and have never seen such small portions. They just lost any future business from me and my family!

It probably would of been better if it wasn't near 90*F outside. It didn't appear like they have AC, since all the doors were open. This restaurant looks new on the outside, but looks "old-school" on the inside. The only thing missing was.....chopsticks on the table. I ordered: -Tomato Beef Chow Mein, $15.95, serves two. Very good Tomato Beef Chow Mein. Every piece of beef was tender and easy to eat. The chunks of tomato, bell pepper and onion were in small bite sized pieces. Perfect for eating with chopsticks. The sauce was tangy and lightly sweet. What was missing was the "Wok Hei." Aka...."the breath of the Wok," it's the unique smoky aroma that adds a special flavor to stir fry food. - Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Wings, $17.95, 9 wings. To be clear, these are "flats." Fresh, juicy, and fried crispy good. Seasoned in coarse salt, chili pepper and onion. My waiter/server gave me a small dish of chili oil to enhance the heat level. Overall, a nice first time experience.....4-stars. I would like to return and try their Wor Won Ton Soup. ------------------------------------------- Notes: Some of the menu photos don't match the dish. Fried items tend to be very oil-wet, which is no surprise, but look at the photo of egg rolls on their web page: too much oil, in my opinion. They do have a number of seafood items, that are popular and I encourage you to come here to try their version of some of your favorite Chinese dishes. Every kitchen is different, so sample many to determine which you like best. And you better watch the clock if you are lunching close to 2 pm. They have lunch from 11am - 3pm and by 2pm they start to close down. dinner is on from 4 - 9pm. Parking is out front.

On 12/24/25, we couldn't get through their regular phone number quite a few times due to a busy signal. We then placed a Door Dash order at 4:50pm. After the app updating the delivery time several times, the order was suddenly "cancelled by the restaurant." We were really looking forward to our dinner for two hours, so you can imagine our disappointment and scrambling for alternatives on Christmas Eve. We did receive a refund for the exact amount that was charged to the credit card. We had decided to try the restaurant again on 12/31/25. Again, we couldn't get through. So I went in person to place the order to ask why the restaurant cancelled our 12/24/25 order. I've never heard of a confirmed order being cancelled before. They said they "cancel Door Dash orders at 6:30pm. A lot of people were disappointed, too." I said but we had placed our order at 4:50pm. I couldn't understand his reasoning. We decided to never use them again. Despite our terrible inconvenience and decision to never dine here again, we decided to place an order today 12/31/25 at 4:19pm for pick-up in person, so I could ask in person what happened on 12/24/25. They said today's order would take 25-30 minutes. It was ready at 4:37pm. That was redeemable, but we still don't understand what happened on 12/24:25 and don't feel confident that it will never happen again. So I imagine the lesson learned is beware of placing Door Dash orders at this restaurant! See photos for proof of our experience.

Being born & raised in San Francisco you…read morecan probably understand (well, maybe) my frustration when I try different Chinese restaurants around town. There is an abundance of excellent quality Chinese food in San Francisco that finding similar quality Chinese food in Novato makes it hard to satisfy that cuisine craving for me. After calling China Village on San Marin (who say they can't make this particular dish...really?) I tried my luck with China House on Grant. For delivery I ordered it through DoorDash along with their Salt & Pepper Pork Chops. On the app I specifically ordered the Beef Chow Fun where I added instructions to add scrambled eggs to it. How hard is that? When I received my delivered order I opened up my boxes and discovered that they did not follow my simple instructions. Most restaurants would call you directly if there are any questions about your order, but sadly China House did not. If there is an up-charge for an additional ingredient I would've gladly paid for it. I called about my order after getting it and the person who answered said he was unaware of my specific request in the instructions and said I should've called them. Well I guess I should've, but aaargh! The food ... chow fun was just average, noodles were very dry, but beef was tender. The salt & pepper pork chops were average as well, but tender and still crispy when I received it and large portion. Nice hint of the Chinese five spice flavor in the seasoning as well. Lesson learned for next time. And still on the hunt.

While not every dish is a standout, we've had enough positive experiences here to keep coming back. Here's what we thought about our latest order: Som Tum - Very fresh and packed with flavor, but it was a bit too zesty for my personal taste. While it wasn't bad at all, it's probably not something I would order again. Kai Ka Prow - I decided to try something new, and the flavors definitely did not disappoint. The chicken was slightly dry, but the seasoning and overall flavor profile made up for it. A solid dish that I'd consider ordering again. Pad See Ew (Beef) - This is my go-to dish and it delivered as expected. Some pieces of beef were more tender than others, but the dish itself was full of flavor. The portion of meat was generous, making it a satisfying meal. Golden Crab Rangoon - One of our favorite appetizers. They're crispy without being overly oily or greasy, and the creamy filling is delicious. The best part is the cheese pull when you enjoy them fresh out of the fryer.
