I think the cooks need to wash out the wok every now an then so the burnt flavor doesn't follow all the food cooked after the 1st or 2nd menu item is cooked for the day. The portions were just okay. Panda Express, I have been very disappointed in the portions I get when I go to your many locations here in Sacramento...I probably won't be going back because I should not still be hungry after I spend upwards of $8 to $10 every time I go there. My coworkers have the same complaint as does my family and we just won't be wasting any more of our money there. It makes no sense that I went today, ordered a large plate, and one of the entrees was almost empty in the pan, and the server didn't even give me what was remaining. Usually I love this Panda Express, but 2 times in the last 30 days I went around 8:30 PM to find most items unavailable or looking entirely unappetizing. Today I showed up and the broccoli beef, orange chicken, string bean chicken, and the mushroom chicken all looked depleted, cold, and just sad. Tried to use my panda gift card tonight. Ordered the food gave them the gift card because I've never used a gift card from there before period wasn't sure how to use it. The girl pulled off the sticker with her finger now and seem to have made a mistake. So she input the numbers by hand. She said there was no balance on the card. She did it again no 0 balance. A 3rd time No balance and she got a manager's help. The manager says there's no money on it there's nothing we can do about it. I told them I had never used the card and just got it for Christmas. And that my husband bought the card himself. I knew there was $25 on it. She said well we have proof that there's nothing on it and gave me the 3 attempts. Each time they said they attempted they just resubmitted the same number. Clearly the 1st girl in put the numbers in correctly. But they didn't try and start over with the numbers. They said I could use another form of payment but I was too upset to do that period they implied I was trying to steal 12 bucks worth a panda. So I went to my car check the balance on my phone. Sure enough there was 25 . I brought my phone in showing I still had $25 on the card. The girl acted embarrassed but simply sdid hopefully we didn't throw your food awafter 10 minutes of it sitting there getting cold. They brought out my old bag deducted the money off the card and did it properly this time period Not one apology. Nothing. I will use the rest of this gift card somewhere else and it looks like my panda Dining experiences are over after that period I won't be going back. This is the SECOND time in two weeks that we have ordered from Panda Express. The First time POT STICKERS were ordered and after getting the food home, three of the seven pot stickers were BURNT Black on the bottom. I didn't complain. Yes it's just Panda. But this manager is the best. He engages customers comes out to the lobby to check on customers and engages young kids with food. They great everyone who walks in the door and give you a sample of anything you want. Have to wait for something? They gave a person a free soda. This location used to be very good, but my last order had tiny portions. No, I don't mean normal portions vs. huge portions, but tiny. Maybe new staff doesn't know what they're doing. Went to this location this morning,and I was shocked!! The hours posted said they opened at 10. It was about 10:15 and the doors were still locked. I had to pick up some other things, so told my wife I would come back. Upon returning around 10:40, they were finally open. When I entered the restaurant, the employee behind the counter was helping a couple people in front of me. I observed her make their plates and charge them, take cash, take keys from her pocket, touch the register and gave change. Then without removing her gloves she was wearing, return to make my plate. I asked her to change her gloves before making my plate, she looked confused. After she changed her gloves, she made my food and told me there would be a few minutes wait on an item. I was fine with that, however she took my payment and returned to make food for the next 3 people in line while still wearing the same gloves she put on when I asked! My items were ready and she proceeded to get them and I once again had to ask her to change her gloves! At this point her and another employee were whispering and laughing. PROPER HANDWASHING PROCEDURES should always be practiced when dealing with food and the public, but just during time of pandemic. If I go to a Panda Express location I would probably chose this one. Overall I have received consistently fresh food. The quantity of the food depends on the person serving and so does the quality of service but at least you can count on the food to be decent. horrid service from one particular individual. i placed an online order at this location that said it would be ready at 6:25. i got there at 6:40 and when i got to the register 3 different people came over to me, one by one, asking about my order, including a man who seemed to be a manager or supervisor. he was very rude to me! he kept coming back and trying to look at my phone even though i told him my name and what my order was and alresdy showed him the receipt and text message saying the order was ready for pickup. he then told me that somebody had already picked up my order. i told him that i didn't know what to say because they gave it to the wrong person. he insinuated that since i arrived at 6:40 even though the order was ready at 6:25, that it was suspicious or something. he acted like he thought i was lying or something! i will say that it was very busy and i know they had a lot going on, but when he finally came up to me with my food i thanked him and he grumbled something and walked away. i felt so insulted. i paid for my food, and i wasn't going to be treated that way or leave without it because someone made a mistake and gave it to someone else. god awful service. i will never come to this location again. read more

First of all the manager Jane was helping and she was very loud and obnoxious. She was practically yelling when asking for your order. Then I wanted Black Pepper chicken and was told it would be 5 minutes to wait because it is not a good seller and they do not keep any cooked. I could not believe it because I have always eaten at this Panda and they always had it. I was the second customer to ask for it and we were both told the same thing. I asked someone on staff and they told me she is the new manager. My advice is to get a new one. She has no place being a manager the way she treats the customer. I normally don't think to write a review about a place that is considered a fast food chain restaurant, but I stopped in at this location today and was pleasantly surprised. I'll admit, it's been a while since I have been to a panda express, so I don't know if all of them changed their format, but this place was great. You get to build your own place from a wide selection of choices. All the menu items looked fresh and that ones I had were very good, I'm craving it again after a few hours. I had the Firecracker chicken, which seems to either be a new item or seasonal, but it was very good, especially if you like food with a kick. The location was very clean, the service was fast, friendly and with a smile even though it was busy. I got take out, when I got home, the food was still hot, and fresh, the noodles were cooked and not mushy! The broccoli with the beef was cooked just right, still crunchy. The experience was more like going to a buffet at a fine Chinese restaurant. My only complaint is that I would have like to seen the entrée portions a little larger, especially since they were so good!
