I've been to Panda Express multiple times over the years and the quality of the food ranged from good to mediocre. Today, however, we visited the Panda Express in Sierra Vista and it was exceptional for fast food. It was 3:30 in the afternoon and everything looked like it had just come out of the wok. I had the Angus Shanghai beef and it was fantastic right down to the fried rice. My husband had the same experience with the Beijing beef chow mein. They had the best cream cheese Rangoons--lightly crispy with a delicious cream cheese. And the sweet and sour sauce was hot and delicious. The staff was friendly, the place clean and attractive. Undigestable stomach concrete. It is fast food Chinese of the lowest caliber. Rice was rock hard, everything was oily and greasy. Meat was over fried and hard as a rock. Literally hurt to chew. No honey walnut shrimp when I ordered my meal but the woman behind the counter called out to the cook that "a customer was waiting." She offered to bring me my order as soon as it was ready. I sat eating my veggies... then my companion's food. When all the food was gone, I approached the counter and saw the food line had been filled with honey walnut shrimp. I asked about my food. I was out shopping with one of my friends when we decided to get food on the go for the barracks. Near by, we had a choice of Panda Express or Chipotle. I have never tried Panda Express and one of my friends raves that it was good and I'm crazy for never trying it before. So I went with PE. The girl who served us was really sweet. She talked with me about the Army and also about where I was from, Guam. She made it personable and that's the only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars. Other than that, I'll never eat at this chain again. This honestly reminded me of overly sweet mall Chinese food. I had half chow mein and fried rice, Beijing beef, orange chicken, and chicken teriyaki. The chow mein and fried rice were average, the Beijing beef was the only meat that I thought palatable, the orange chicken was extremely sweet, and the teriyaki chicken had no flavor. I asked for sauce on the side and even with dipping the chicken in the sauce, there wasn't that teriyaki flavor I liked. I felt like everything was lacking. I regret not going next door to Chipotle and won't make the mistake of going here again. If you like overly sweet "chinese" food, this may be your cup of tea. However, if you know what authentic Chinese food is, this will disappoint so I recommend you save your money. I'd pick any teriyaki joint in Washington over this chain. read more

This is not my favorite pandas express to eat. The service is hit and miss and the portion gets smaller and smaller every time we go. We never get the condiments that we ask for. What bothers me the most is the shanghai beef. You pay extra if you order it. Everywhere else you go and even in the picture it has asparagus in it but when you order it you get green beans. Panda can be a stable choice for an inexpensive quick Chinese. I visit the Houghton store once a week and leave with a big smile. The Sierra Vista store unfortunately reeks of local poor management. I dread when the church decision is to end up there for a bite before study time. Unfortunately listing my issues like the stale food sitting in pools, the strange cleaning chemicals in the food.. nothing will matter. Bad management will only try to improve a point here or there for a short while. read more

This a great place. Since I moved from Florida to Arizona I wanted some authentic Chinese food and no other place met my needs than this Panda Express. The staff was super friendly one of the employees actually fixed my food for me since I arrived exactly at 9:00pm which is theirs closing time and she made sure everything was fresh as if I came at 12:00 noon for lunch. I was really excited for my first experience with Panda Express. I love Chinese and always try new places. Unfortunately I was severely disappointed. Worst customer service. The girl even rolled her eyes when I stated I wanted a small drink please (wanting neither large or medium she suggested). The prices are OK, but for the quality food I got even my $8 total was too much to pay. In all orange chicken is decent, whatever this other chicken I picked is is just horrid. And the noodles are bland and greasy (it soaked through my plate!). Not to mention you can hear the gossiping and banter of the employees. I won't be coming back. However, there was exactly one (1) on line to go order for 11:30. Shift manager was combative, rude, unpleasant. Made it very difficult for us to obtain our order. The food was very bland and I would compare it at best to one of those Chinese food places in the mall. There didn't seem to be much of a variety either. So every time I go into the panda express in sierra vista, AZ, there is this one blonde dude who seems to have smoked all his brain cells away. He is slow, seems perpetually high, and forgets to put items in your bag. Happens every time. I've never seen a slower panda express before. My average wait time is around 7-10 min each time, and thats from stating my items to checkout. I am usually in and out pretty quick at any other location.
