They lack comprehension skills as I have to keep repeating them how I want my order exactly I get in there as soon as they open within one hour of them opening they don't have the food ready. I was extremely excited when I found out Panda was opening a free standing location right on Hall rd. Overall I do not believe this location lives up to the Panda experience I have had over the years. The portions are not as generous but have gotten better the last couple times I have come here. The service is not as friendly as I would have hoped. I often feel rushed and the servers do not seem to like when you don't know what you want. The location itself is beautiful and the inside has always been clean every time I have visited. Overall it's a decent place to grab a meal for around $8. This particular visit I had the Kung Pao chicken and sweetfire chicken with Chow Mein noodles. The Kung Pao chicken is one of my favorites but they typically over do the peanuts. Pleasantly surprised! We ordered two of the big plates and 2 small orders of the cream cheese rangoons. We didn't get any fatty chicken pieces (all cooked well) and the vegetables were nice and crisp (not mushy). I felt very safe going inside to pick up our order as no one else was inside besides the staff. For less than $10 the portion sizes were accurate, and one order will last us at least 1 more meal. My wife and I have been eating to check the restaurant since it pretty much has opened but we have been to busy to make it there. Today we had the opportunity to have lunch. We were there the moment it opened and hit the drive thru. My wife ordered the large platter (string bean and chicken, orange chicken and Kung pao chicken) and fried rice. Since the Kung pao chicken was spicy we had in a separate container. We also got an order of cheese Rangoon. The service was excellent, drive thru was fast and to food hit the spot. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Was craving some Chinese and decided to give this place a try as I've never been, it was absolutely disgusting. The fried rice was SOUR. So sour I couldn't eat more than two bites. I got it with orange chicken which is usually slightly like sweet and sour but this was also absolutely disgusting and tasted nothing like orange chicken. When I brought the entire meal back with my receipt 15 minutes later and with only two bites missing and asked for a refund, they refused. Even though it was only $8 and said that they do not do refunds. I've worked in many restaurants and a business major and this is just bad business. Will not return and will be telling everyone I know that this place sucks, the least places can do is offer a refund to an unsatisfied customer. When we placed our order, we were informed from the order process that due to the size, the order would take longer than original quoted time and we would need to wait additional 30 minutes. My toddler and I visited this location yesterday. I have not been to Panda Express in years, last time I went was in California if I recall correctly. First off, the location is clean and tidy. Employees are welcoming and knowledgeable and helpful. I was greeted and served on immediately. I was suggested a meal catered to my preferences. Kudos to the staff of this location! After being told there was no more angus steak I was suggested to Wok-Seared steak that it was just the same maybe a little spicy. I tried it and it was great tasting sauce but my problem was that it wasnt spicy as I was told and not only there was no steak or shrimp that comes in the dish ALL VEGGIES. Panda Express is okay. Decent. Of the few things I actually like here I'd say the meat flavor is usually good. The "side" (which if not familiar if you get a bowl, the side is what the entree sits upon like noodles,rice,etc..) is usually dry and lacking flavor. I prefer chow mein noodles and they always taste barely sauced and dry. Even those liking a mild flavor would agree. It just seems like they prepared some things very far in advance and then refrigerated for days. The portion sizes also seem small for the price you pay. I also feel like it's very hit-or-miss if your dish has vegetables in it, you'll either get 5 tiny pieces of a vegetable or actually I don't think I've ever seen a decent mix of veggies to disperse. You can get some tasty dishes but overall what draws me in is the drive thru on the way home from work or when shopping around Hall Road. If you have a craving and are in a hurry I'd say go for it if it's just you or maybe 2 people.
