I love pandahouse but my issue is this is my 3rd take out order that has come home wrong.out of my last 3 orders. Things have been left out totally as well as done wrong. For example tonight I ordered chicken and I came home to open my meal to find pork. I double checked my order just incase but I did order chicken. Sad to say, after 15+ years of this being our go-to place for Chinese carryout because it's within walking distance of our house, we're moving all of our business to the new Panda Express down on Zeeb Road. Yes, that Panda Express, the one found in airports and train stations and mall food courts, but here's the thing: Panda HOUSE (PH) chicken has always been tough and stringy, with most of the flavor coming from whatever sauce it's in, but Panda EXPRESS (PE) chicken is almost melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. Same with shrimp. Same with beef. And suddenly we realized how dull and unimaginative PH's main dishes are in contrast to PE's. General Chicken: sauce and some broccoli. Sweet and Sour X: the meat and some bright red sauce. You actually have to request vegetables like peppers and onions, and half the time they get that wrong. Spring rolls, egg rolls: always limp and flavorless. Crab Rangoon: mostly wrapper, always over-fried. Seafood medley: flavorless except for the sauce. Sesame noodles: hit or miss, maybe a one in eight chance they'll be tasty. And we didn't really realize what we'd been missing until we discovered the PE down the road that was such a huge contrast to PH. The hot/sour soup and egg drop soup are both good and always have been, however. Same with the dumplings. (Just being fair.) And the staff have always been super friendly, and we've had no complaints about prices. (Lunch special prices are especially reasonable.) But this is a wake-up call to PH: drive over to PE and buy some of the dishes there -- then use them as models to update and improve your menu and ingredients. Send notification flyers all around the surrounding neighborhoods to let us know the food is better now. Then we'll be back for another try. read more

Being craving some Chinese food for some time, but haven't had time to get some... worked late on Friday and on my way, called for takeout order at Panda. Luckily, they were open until 11pm... because I didn't leave work until 10:30pm... I got the chicken and broccoli, kang-pao chicken and hot & sour soup. Food was ready by the time I got there. I ordered all large sizes, so I expected to pay something like $30, but was surprised with a bill around $22. Got home, the food was hot, the soup was hot. The hot and sour soup was actually good... better then most other places. As for the chicken and broccoli, it was clean taste and decent, far better then other Chinese locations as well... however the kang-pao chicken was, well... different then most other Chinese locations... the chicken was fried, as if they were trying to make sesame chicken... and it was on the mild side, no hot peppers were inside as well. Overall, the food was decent. Will find my way back to Panda House again. read more

Panda House doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is nicely decorated with wood and etched glass. The food is quite good, too. The last time I visited, I had a spicy broccoli with ginger and garlic sauce dish, and the broccoli was lightly steamed and still very green, and the sauce was delicious. I also had the vegetable spring roll, and it wasn't anything spectacular, but it was good. The service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable here, too, especially if you order off the lunch menu. They offer free delivery within a three-mile radius, though the interior is so relaxing and pretty that I'd prefer to dine in. read more

The menu is extensive and has everything from your classic Americanized fare (orange chicken, fried rice, egg rolls) to more authentic dishes like beef chow fun and mapo tofu. A solid choice for quick Chinese food thats very close to the house. Its not a stand out amazing place, but they get the job done, if anything slightly better then most hole in the wall places. This was our first time eating at Panda House! This was a carry out order and it didn't take long to get it, and we were very pleased. The eggroll is a great version of the classic, and the spring roll had a little bit of ginger flavor which was unexpected and good. The pork fried rice was good and the Szechuan chicken was less than medium spicy but still very tasty, so next time I will open up the spacing because I like it that way. I recommend them. read more

I've been coming to Panda House for 10+ years; long enough that I've visited them in 3 different locations! This is the best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at. Period. Their lunch specials are a great deal. An entree, rice, and a side for under $10. I always get their orange chicken with white rice and an egg roll. The lunch specials usually end up being two servings for me. The large size is usually 3 servings for me. I've brought many friends here and have never heard any complaints. Not bad! Food was cheap and good! We ate inside the restaurant, and by all appearances, it was also really clean. The animal lover inside of me secretly loved that they had stuffed animal pandas as decor too. Our server was very friendly, and let us take our time. I ordered the beef with mushroom with out peppers and she gladly obliged. My fiancee ordered the beef with broccoli. Both were quite good. I have mixed feelings about Panda House. I do like their spring rolls and soups. Their shrimp fried rice is not too bad. Anything else has been a ton of vegetables that I did not want, with little meat or fish in the dish. It's convenient Chinese for delivery or pickup, so I go there, but I avoid ordering anything other than: appetizers soups fried rice regular rice egg rolls My hubby gets the General Tsoa's chicken and seems to like it, so perhaps that's another choice for you. The lunch combo came out before my soup which isn't a good thing. Also, the General's Tso's was not good at all... the chicken was mediocre at best, the sauce was not spicy at all and the pork fried rice was bland. Can't say it was the worst thing ever as the food was fast and hot, and it was only 5.25 plus a 1.00 tip... basically the same amount i'd spend at mcdonalds. If you want to feel safe about where your food is coming from right now, and if you want to feel safe picking up your food, I cannot imagine any food establishment doing a better job than Panda House right now. We placed a large order - dumplings, mei fun, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, steamed chicken & veggies, lo mein, tung ting shrimp, and hot&sour soup, and a side of garlic sauce - requested no added sodium or msg (besides which is already in some of the sauces), and every dish was fantastic. They provided gloves and hand sanitizer at every contact point, so we were confident they were protecting both their customers and their staff in the best ways possible. I cannot applaud this business enough for their attention to public health safety as well as the delivery of high quality food for a very reasonable price. Yay for Panda House!! read more

This is my first Yelp review, and I'll admit I mostly just made it so I can say how much I enjoyed this place. The staff are very generous, and their hospitality is great! The restaurant itself has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, especially with all the panda stuffed animals they have around (adorable). I got the orange chicken and personally I think it taste good; probably one of the few Chinese places that serves authentic food (unlike some other places that uses the same plain chicken for all dishes and uses different sauces to call it different things). 10/10 would highly recommend if you love Asian food. read more
