    Spaghetti noodle

I always order the lunch special of beef lo mein and it was always good. Not today, the noodles were spaghetti noodles NOT LO MEIN with 4 small pieces of beef. It was bad. I don't know if they have a new owner or a new cook, but it will be a long time before I return. The hot & sour soup was good though

We visited on a Wednesday evening at about 5:30 pm. This restaurant occupies the space of two stores in a shopping strip mall. The front door opens into a space with a few tables and a counter for ordering and picking up take out orders. The kitchen area is behind the counter. You then enter the second space which is filled with tables for dining. Nothing fancy, minimally decorated with an Asian influence. During the prime dinner time, their take out business was hopping. The dining room did get pretty full, but never to the point where diners were waiting. Our server promptly delivered menus and took our drink order. There are plenty of drink options - sodas, beers, tea, etc. The menu consists of every imaginable oriental dish, and lunch and dinner specials. There are many dishes labeled as spicy and as we found out, every dish can be spiced up to your preference. My wife ordered the House Special Duck entree and an Egg Roll appetizer. I opted for the Shrimp With Vegetables Dinner Special. The Dinner Specials include an option of two appetizers from a long list. I chose the Hot and Sour Soup and an Egg Roll. The soup was brought out quickly and was quite tasty with a rich broth slightly sour and a little spicy, loaded with veggies and tofu. Our egg rolls came out next and were delicious, hefty in size loaded with veggies and pork, served with a sweet dipping sauce. I used some of the chili crisp sauce with the sweet sauce to add a little spice to my egg roll. Other hot sauces are available. Our entrees came out shortly thereafter. My wife's duck was probably a half duck, chopped into pieces, served over a bed of mixed vegetables tossed in a rich brown orangey gravy and a side bowl of white rice. The duck was cooked perfectly, juicy inside, crispy outside with a great flavor. My shrimp dish had six good size shrimp, tossed with a light sauce and a mix of vegetables, served with fried rice. I did ask for them to spice it up which they did, but I could have used a little more spice. Excellent shrimp flavor and cooked perfectly. The veggies were crisp tender. The fried rice was tasty. The portion sizes are quite large and we brought home enough for lunch the next day. We will definitely return to try some of their other dishes.

Stopped by for a quick dinner, had never been here. Seating was very fast, although there weren't a lot of people there. They seemed busy with a lot of take outs. I ordered the moo shu chicken, with the dinner specials you get two sides. Service was very fast. The staff was very friendly. Would come back again.

    One of the lunch specials.

Used to love this place. The last 2 dinners were awful. Orange and sesame chicken like shoe leather.

Probably the best restaurant in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area. Not the most amazing Chinese food in the world, but pretty darn decent.

Great food, good prices, and the best service in the area! You can't go wrong at Panda House. Our server was very polite.

I received the noodles, the meal was hot and deliciously seasoned and garnished. This visit I received Singapore style noodles, cold, overcooked, very dry, unseasoned, and instead of garnishing with peanuts it was garnished with cilantro. I tried adding soy sauce just to get the clumps of dry noodles to separate. The noodles broke apart when I took a forkful. The proper noodles at my last visit were long flat and could be twirled like spaghetti. They were cooked properly and seasoned well , nice soupy noodles. Yesterday's noodles were the wrong ones for Thai noodles and so dry That I had to sprinkle soy sauce on them to get them to be edible. NOTE TO DAVID, MANAGER, FIND OUT WHO THE CHEF WAS YESTERDAY AT 5 O'CLOCK, AND HAVE HIM TRAIN WITH THE CHEF WHO PREPARED MY FIRST MEAL OF THAI NOODLES. My meal yesterday was unacceptable. The wasn't busy and we put our order in as soon as we sat down. My husband ordered soup, fried rice and a couple appetizers. The soup came out when my Thai noodle dish came out, but the rest order never came out. Finally, we went up to the register and asked them to take it off the bill , we paid and left. During our time there, the waitress only came to take the order and deliver it. Never came back to see how everything was. Training of kitchen staff and wait staff need to be addressed. They are serving inconsistent meals with inconsistent service. If you could advise me of the name of the first chef, I will be sure to return when he is working. His cooking of both our mea was so delicious. It made me want to come back yesterday. Unfortunately I did not receive the same meal at all. After my husband paid the waitress she disappeared into the kitchen before he could ask for a to go box. So he had to grab a large beverage cup with a cover as she didn't come out of the kitchen while he was standing there waiting. As I said, I would really love to return when the chef who prepared my first Thai noodle meal is back in the kitchen. Let me know his name so when I I can be sure he's working. Compare the two dishes in my photos.

So I searched Yelp and I found this gem, Jun Dynasty. We traveled an hour and forty minutes from Maricopa to try this place. I could've traveled to other Chinese restaurants in half the time in and around Phoenix and Scottsdale, but something just intrigues me about Tucson. Jun is located in an older part of Tucson and its location can be misleading. But trust me, you want to try this place. We were immediately greeted and seated after we entered the establishment. We were handed menus and asked what we'd like to drink and I ordered Oolong tea and water. The menu included several authentic dishes not found at other Chinese restaurants. I kept it simple though and ordered Walnut Shrimp for my wife, Steamed Dumplings in Peppercorn sauce, Salt & Pepper Fried Fish, and Bok Choy. Steamed dumplings were the first dish brought out. I ordered this because my wife can't eat anything spicy. Well this had a kick to it even I wasn't expecting. It was numbing, literally! Some restaurants will even list this type of dish as cooked in numbing oil. Soon after swallowing the dumpling, a numbing sensation enveloped our tongues. Sorry honey; I thought I ordered a mild dish. I ended up eating all of them. It was hard tasting the other dishes because of the numbing effect. The walnut shrimp came out next and I have to say, they were probably the best I had; even better than Fat's in Sacramento who set the bar back in the day. My wife devoured them. Bok choy was brought out next and she also loved them. They were served with I think a garlic sauce and it was very tasty. The Salt & Pepper fried fish were delivered last and they were also good. However, my wife preferred the walnut shrimp. I did have better S & P fish elsewhere, but these were still good. I can't speak enough about the staff. They were the friendliest I ever experienced in a Chinese restaurant. Our server always checked on us to make sure everything was fine. They all even said good-bye when we left. Yeah, I picked a good one!
