Just ok, nothing fantastic. Out of all that I ordered, the pork with vegetables was the best. Special lo-mein was not that special. Shrimp fried rice wasn't bad, I am not a fan of the yellow colored fried rice. Honey chicken was bland and just didn't make an impression as good, but not horrible. We ate here for the first time, based on all the Yelp reviews - and they were definitely spot on! As ex-New Yorkers, we are very particular about Chinese food because there are so many great asian restaurants in that part of the world. We were pleased to meet the owners, and although originally from Hong Kong, they moved to Jacksonville from Queens, NY. Now you're talking! We had despaired of ever finding a Chinese place that makes Shrimp Toast or Cold Sesame Noodles, but they are on the menu here. Although it is mostly a takeout storefront kind of place, we sat at a table and ate dinner. Of course, we ordered the cold sesame noodles as an appetizer and were extremely happy with them. Dinners were a couple of the dinner combos, and we were glad to find that Panda House knows how to make a really good egg roll - something else that is a disappointment in the typical Jacksonville chinese place. These were crispy, not oily, with the perfect blend of vegetables and red-cooked pork. Overall, very high quality and friendly / family staff. This is now our go-to Chinese restaurant. read more

Panda House has very quickly become my favorite Chinese food in Jax. I now regularly crave the cold sesame noodles (which I only tried because of so many reviews raving about them). The serving sizes are generous for the price, which means one order means multiple meals for me. I haven't used their delivery (seems to be a common complaint on here) but I get take out each time and food is typically ready within 20 minutes of ordering. I've yet to find another place with quality Chinese food that is fast and cheap in any part of town! read more

We ordered fried chicken wings w/shrimp fried rice, general tso chicken w/shrimp fried rice, sesame chicken w/shrimp fried rice and chicken noodle soup. This is my neighborhood Chinese place and it shines out above other places of the like. Panda house has all the typical dishes that any other take out Chinese place would have. I usually base my opinion of one of these take out places based on one the following dishes: kung pao chicken, wonton soup, hot and sour soup, general tso, Singapore chow mei fun, and rice quality. The last time I went I had some hot and sour soup and Kung pao chicken. Both of these were above average and the quality of the ingredients tasted fresh. The chicken wasn't rubbery like other places and the soup had a full flavor and was not watered down. The rice was also up to par and was cooked just right. Overall everything I have had from Panda house has been great and I have had no complaints thus far. I will continue to go here as it's right across the street, but it's nice that the quality is higher than your typical take out places. read more

I may not love this place for the right reasons but I love this place! It's the first Chinese place that knows my address when I call in because they see my phone number. Yes this has been around for ages in pizza but for Chinese? Color me impressed. The lady on the phone is legit. Fast, friendly and the last time I called it was 15 minutes before closing and she took my measly $13 order without hesitation. Oh and they store your card info for future use. Not sure how legal that is but I like it! The food. It's actually really good. I don't like that the teriyaki chicken is on sticks rather than off them but taste rules supreme. A true hidden gem of a place for lunch. I mean as far as cheap chinese foods goes, you can't beat $5.30 lunch special. I've tried pretty much every thing on the lunch special menu. I work nearby so I've become quite a regular. My go-to is the shrimp/chicken schezuan or hunan, orange chicken, or chicken with broccoli...so delicious! This is owned by a really friendly chinese family. The wife is super nice and her husband is the chef...so you know you're getting good food. Whenever my wife and I are in the mood for takeout Chinese, we order from Panda House - and we live over in Jax Beach. The drive is worth it for the solid & consistent food. If you're looking for a wide-ranging menu review, I can't help you - I eat Chinese takeout as comfort food: beef & broccoli and teryaki chicken every time - and Panda House nails it. Yesterday ordered shrimp and walnut chicken the server would have me accept less than the number of shrimp per order or 3 less. After waiting 12 minutes for additional item to be cooked I was served the walnut shrimp bowl. I waited 10 minutes just to ask for my order. No one was ahead of me. After getting my order , and checking it out in my car (100 yards walk) I saw there was zero walnuts in my order. I walked all the way back to restaurant and asked another lady if I should to actually get walnuts with my order? I then offered her to look at my dish and handed it to her. She then asked me if I wanted walnuts? I'm thinking to myself are you kidding me? You can't be asking me that can you? Very annoyed I actually wanted what I paid for she got me a few dry walnuts in a cup and sent me on my way. I am just another annoying customer who expects to get what they paid for. Somehow trying to get people to pay full price for an item and get less than what is promised is a practice here. Give them the least possible, take their money and get them out of their way. read more

Looking for some takeout one night, my fiancee and I settled on this place after reading some favorable reviews. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. When I arrived, I could not help but notice the poor condition of the restaurant itself - I'm glad we were not eating in, as it would not have been a pleasant dine-in experience. I called ahead for my order, and when I arrived, pickup was delayed by the cashier arguing with a customer over the phone about giving a refund or free meal based on their dissatisfaction. Not a great first time customer experience. After finally taking the food home fresh, we were unfortunately underwhelmed. We had some chicken fried rice and general's chicken. The general's chicken was mostly sauce and breading, and the fried rice chicken was very stringy and oddly shaped. You're better off going to Pei Wei or Panda Express at the nearby Town Center. read more

I've been jonzing for good shrimp chow mein for what seems like years, have eaten some ok dishes at some of the corner takee outee joints around town. But yesterday I once again turned to my fellow yelpers and found my new favorite take out Chinese! Panda House has finally given me everything I was craving for Real Chow mein, which has no noodles. Unlike another similarly named franchise down the road is passing out mediocre food to zombie masses, who's chow mein is really lo mein, Panda House's chow mein is beautiful light green mix of veggies like celery, onion and bean sprouts and big tender shrimp served in the white sauce with rice and fried crunchy strips to crumble on top (sorry don't know what these are called) but can tell they're home made, were warm, crisp and not greasy, added nice crunch. Panda House does not scrimp on shrimp :P or portions, I ordered the dinner size and was shocked to see such a huge container of chow mein, full of amazing green veggies and lg pink shrimp, after eating a large plate full enough to satisfy years of searching, I still have 2 more meals! Sorry no pics, will post some soon! Can't wait to go back and start working my way through the menu of favorites!
