I have been working down the street from Wok N Roll for 10 years now and somehow today was my first time trying them. I ordered online for pickup and I really like how easy it is to order on their site. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken Lunch Combo. I really liked how easy it is to edit your side. I comes with Pork Fried Rice but you can change it to different types of Fried Rice or Lo Mein and it shows all the options and their pricy. I ended up going with the Beef Lo Mein which was a $2.55 upcharge but again it starts at $8.25 since it is a lunch special. After ordering I was told my order would be ready in 10 minutes and as soon as I got there it was. The lunch bowl was pretty heavy and loaded up with General Tso's Chicken and Beef Lo Mein. The chicken was tasty and not too over cooked. I also liked the sauce. I was the perfect consistency and there was plenty of it. The Lo Mein also had a good amount of beef which was nice. It also have come veggies in it like carrots, cabbage, and mushrooms which I really liked. I for sure will come back to Wok N Roll for a good quick and cheap lunch. read more

We accidently ordered from Wok And Roll through Uber Eats; we thought we were ordering Wok N Roll. By the time we realized our mistake it was too late and our food was on the way from Wok And Roll. It was cool; we thought we'd give them a try. Well the food was just horrible. It all tasted fishy like the restaurant must have cooked fish in the same fryer that our food was cooked in. It was such a horrible taste; leaving a bad after taste. We had General Tso Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken; both just plain horrible. Even our crab rangoon app tasted like nasty fish. And to top it off, the restaurant was more expensive than others. Well, at least we can say we tried Wok And Roll and will not be ordering from them again. This place has really turned itself around. I eat eat here once or twice a week. They have the best MooShu Pork I've had in years and perfect Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The Rangoons are also excellent. Im Glad I went back and tried it again. It is now my go to Chinese food place. read more

This was my first time trying this place and I was very surprised to find out that everything turned out real well. I ordered food for myself and my fiancé and my fiancé is rather picky when it comes to Chinese food being that she's from up north and the Chinese food up there is really good compared to down here in the south. Both are entrées were fresh and delicious. I got the beef and broccoli and I never seen the freshest vegetables I've ever seen in that kind of a dish from any Chinese restaurant I've ever been too. The vegetables were cooked at a perfect al dente. The pork fried rice was done very flavorfully and its consistency was really good. Not sticking at all. My fiancé ordered the chicken lo mein and it was fresh and tasty and we will definitely be ordering again at this location. The service was real good. I think I waited maybe eight minutes from my order to come up over-the-counter and it is an open kitchen so you can watch them cook and needless to say it was a very clean kitchen and it was fun watching them make the meal in the big woks they have back there. Solid neighborhood fast food Chinese place. Nothing out of this world, but its dependable, fast, and is always piping hot! We eat here every 2-3 weeks and each order is always the same as it was the previous visit...and we appreciate the consistency. The staff is also super nice! My roommate and I recently discovered that Wok N Roll is about 2 minutes from where we live and it's safe to say we were pretty excited. Super close, cheap, and they deliver? Perfect. As other reviews state, the food is pretty typical Chinese take out. The staff is very friendly, the actual location is pretty big for a take out place (double the size of most of these types of places). I recently moved to Jacksonville and am completely new to Florida. Wok N Roll is literally down the street from my house. On a whim; I ordered lunch from them. It's a cheap Chinese place that does delivery and take out. They also have a seating area in the restaurant if you wanted to eat there - although, there are only two tables. I've ordered from them a few more times, they're fast and efficient. Unlike the other reviews, I did not have an issue with the total cost. If you're placing an order for delivery, they have a minimum of $10. I'm one of those people that usually orders the same thing every time. Saying that; I've found my #1 meal at Wok N Roll ... The Sesame Chicken! It is AMAZING! I also tried the fried dumplings, but they weren't too tasty. They were too oily and for whatever reason just didn't taste good to me (may have just been me, but I'll never order it again). I also tried the Mongolian beef and I didn't enjoy it. I felt as if the Mongolian beef could've been cooked a little longer (it wasn't overcooked, I just like it crispy). I am about to start college, so I'm sure I'll have lazy days and want to order out. This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had, even my dog wouldn't eat it... First the teriyaki beef was like a piece of leather with absolutely no flavor; then the steamed rice was crunchy and some was like mush I had the triple delight and the shrimp was like rubber the chicken was not much better and once again the beef was like leather... My mom ordered honey chicken and she told me she has been eating Chinese for over 60 years and this was so bad that if this was the first Chinese she would have prayed that we nicked the country so we never had to eat this shit again... Moving from NY, good Chinese is a tough one to find. You always have your "one spot". A co-worker recommended this place and it's worth it! They deliver, cheap lunch specials, and decent size dinner combos. Just check your meals because sometimes they forget your egg rolls with your combo. I usually go to the wok n roll on Edgewood but ordered from here while at work. They are not the same at all, normally I get the General Tso's Chicken, at this location the lo mein and chicken were both pretty bland, very little sauce and what was there did not have much flavor. The chicken was tough and stringy, will not be going back to this one. It's a shame because I love the one on Edgewood, I get the same dish there and the lo mein has almost a smoky grilled taste and the sauce for the Tso's chicken is nice an complex, was hoping to find something like that closer to work. read more

So my friend and I ordered two orders of sweet and sour chicken and the delivery driver brought us one order of the sweet and sour and then an order of Kung Po chicken. We called the driver and told him we got the wrong food and he said he would take care of it. He then texted us that he would get our "sesame chicken" soon "beautiful." Extremely unprofessional, and still not what we ordered. After waiting about 45 minutes we called to just cancel the second order of sweet and sour chicken, and to have them refund our money. The woman on the phone said he would be there in two minutes, so we waited. About 5 minutes later we called back again, because the driver texted and said he was 10 minutes away. The woman said she could have the driver come back with cash, but we wanted it back on the card and at this point wanted to speak to a manager because we did not want him to come back to our apartment. She said she would have the manager call us back. The driver showed up at our door, but we didn't answer because he was creepy, and we asked him previously to take the food back. He left the food on our door knob. The manager still hadn't called us back so we called to let her know the guy came back. We told the woman he hit on us and she laughed and called my friend sweetheart. The entire ordeal was extremely unprofessional, and I may look and sound young but I don't appreciate being treated like a child. When it's 6pm and you are stuck in an office park with no stores to visit and the food choices are limited, it's good to have place like Wok N Roll to deliver good Chinese style food to your office. It feels like getting a care package from Mom when darkness covers the glass in Southpoint... I prefer the steamed dishes here and have noted the preparation along those lines lack salt, sugar, or anything else, which is perfect for me. The bourbon chicken was almost inedible. The chicken taste like it was made a week ago and it was dry as can be. It was full of grizzle and tasteless. I can't believe this place has such a low rating. I work very close and when I need a reliable quick and cheap bite to eat this is always my go to. Depending on the day I might even eat in. Majority of the time I call my food in and though it's not the best customer service, meaning don't expect them to be super friendly, but I order my food no problems. The place is pretty clean as well. It's small and has like eight chairs. During the week they have lunch specials from like 11 to 3 and they're pretty cheap for the most part you'll get a good amount of food for about 5 to 6 dollars. Every time I have gotten my food it has been super fresh and hot, and it taste really good. I honestly would not go anywhere else for Chinese food even for dinner. I go out of my way to come here. I do know they deliver but I am unsure of how efficient it is because I've never had to use it. Working in the food industry, I'm usually very forgiving when it comes to service but my experience tonight was just horrible. Didn't have any food in the house and after driving all day in rain I decided to order takeout so that i didn't have to go out again in the rain. The place was close to my house and was easy to order and pay conveniently on an app. Sadly that was the only pleasant part of my experience. I waited an hour after placing my order before I called to ask if my order had gone through or if the app glitched, the women on the phone said it would only be a couple more minutes and that he was on his way and she was very friendly, I have a lot of patience so once I knew my stuff was on the way I was content, about 5 minutes later he knocked on my door. The worst part about my experience wasn't even my horribly long wait, it was the food. After waiting over an hour for an order of sweet and sour chicken (something SIMPLE) and spring rolls, i expected it to be atleast edible. It wasn't. I ended up throwing it all away. The chicken was so soggy and the breeding was falling right off, and the spring rolls had barely any filling. The only thing I was able to eat was a couple bites of the hard white rice and my fortune cookie. Definitely won't order from here again nor will I ever recommend it.
