Not bad, not great. The best dishes from this experience were the honey walnut shrimp and the braised string beans. Even then, the shrimp was too heavily salted. I felt that the scallops were also too salty. Unfortunately, the Panda Beef and Phoenix Chicken (orange chicken with broccoli) was comprised of mostly crumbled deep fried batter. The sauce was enjoyable, but left me wanting a better meat to batter ratio. The Phoenix Chicken we ordered was family size, but only came with several pieces of broccoli. I anticipated more broccoli according to the menu description. Service was absolutely spectacular from start to finish. The hosts and servers were all so friendly and welcoming. Not feeling rushed whatsoever. Our server definitely took the time to take care of us, from pouring our soup bowls for us to packing up our food in takeout boxes. My wife wanted to take her sister out to celebrate her birthday so we decided to meet at Panda which was one of her favorites when she lived in Cerritos. Looking at the menu on Yelp, I thought the items were a bit overpriced until I saw the portions they brought out after we ordered. The girls ordered the garlic fish lunch special which they enjoyed. The garlic flavor was mild and not overpowering. My brother in law ordered the Panda Beef which was not on the lunch special menu. It's a crispy beef dish with a sweet sauce that has a touch of spice and flavored with orange peel. A regular size order can easily be shared by 4 people. The family size must be enormous. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp off the lunch special menu and was surprised by the generous portion of large, plump shrimp for $16. The lunch specials included a small bowl of soup, a choice of steamed white rice or brown rice, and a crispy vegetable egg roll. There is a take out counter in the front along with a bar area. You need to walk down a corridor to get to the dining area. There is one private room that can accommodate up to 14 people but it requires a reservation and the party must spend a minimum of $450 to use this room. The dining room was very clean and the servers were extremely helpful and friendly. The fortune cookies dipped in white chocolate and wrapped in colorful foil that they bring to you with the bill are a nice touch. I look forward to returning and trying out more items on their menu. read more

This place has been around since I was a kid and today was my first time ever coming here. This was the original PF Chang before PF Chang. Both being Americanized Chinese food. This place sticking to its American Chinese roots while PF Chang has lumped all Asian cultures together thinking rhat all of Asia has one amalgamated flavor... Anyways Panda Inn is what Panda Express was before it became Panda express. Owned by the same family. Alot of the express menu items are offered here as well slightly tuned up and with table service. The decor is like something from the 90's but not to bad. It's quaint, the wait staff looks like they've been around a long time and the service is much better than most authentic Chinese restaurants. Prices are very fair. I don't think that I would go out of my way to come back. But I also wouldn't avoid it. 3.7 mostly for yhe service. read more

My mom and I came in here yesterday 4/30/26 for lunch. We had a reservation so we were taken right away. The restaurant is beautiful with stained glass adorable pandas on it. I have health issues and cannot have anything high in sodium. We ordered the vegetable soup with no noodles, no mushrooms, no tomatoes and no tofu. It came and was just a bunch of spinach in a flavorless broth. I've had vegetable soup at other Chinese and a Thai restaurants that have had flavor. Then we ordered the chicken lettuce cups very low to no sodium. It came out with no flavor so my mom said you could add just a touch of very little soy. When it came back it was a lot darker and tasted sweet and smoky which we knew had to be hoisin sauce which I can't have. Again at other places they could do this. I will say though the food was not up to par with us the hot jasmine green tea was extremely hot and tasted so good. The service here is incredible. Everyone was polite, accommodating and understanding. If you do come here I'm sure you will receive wonderful service as we did. read more

Panda Inn is a chain of sit down Chinese restaurants owned by Panda Restaurant Group. This one is located in La Palma. They have lunch specials, seafood, poultry, beef, pork, soups, noodles, and rice dishes. They have regular portions and family portions of most of the dishes. I've ordered the Lo Mein here twice. Once with assorted (chicken, beef, pork, and vegetables) and another time with shrimp. Great portions of the noodles. Love that the lo mein is saucy with a ton of flavor with soft and chewy texture. My husband loves the Chicken Fried Rice here. We've also had the Orange Chicken. The orange chicken is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with perfect sweet and sour flavor. They also give fortune cookies dipped in white chocolate at the end of the meal. Not a big fan of seating arrangement as tables are somewhat close together. There's booths and U shaped booths. I can hear conversations amplified around me if there's people sitting nearby. Be careful with the tablecloth or you might drag it down with you as it's a bit slippery. There's also bar seating available. Service has been great. We're usually greeted upon entry and seated immediately. Server would ask us if we would like anything to drink. Then would come back and ask us if we're ready to order. On the first visit, we waited quite a bit to get our food. On the second visit, we didn't wait that long. The servers would also pack the food in front of us if we needed to take the leftovers to go. Parking is not bad as the restaurant has its own parking lot so there's usually plenty of parking. Some parking spaces are compact and others are a big bigger. Love the food here. Would be back for another visit! read more

Sat in the bar where a man who said he was a Mgr and had fixed us drinks before came to serve us. My wife's drink slipped off the bar and broke. He went and apparently asked someone else what to do. He charged us for the lost drink and we left. He would not replace it without another charge. He said he answered to a higher up. We have never gone back and never will. I had lunch here last week and I'm very disappointed with the quality of food now from about 5 years ago. I ordered the wonton soup and it came in a small bowl and instead of the usual bokchoy for the vegetables, it had spinach instead! Who serves that in a wonton soup? That's not all, the wonton was filled with little to nothing meat mixed with cilantro. I'm betting this is the same wonton soup mix from Costco's frozen items because I've had it before and never liked the taste of it. This soup never tasted prepared in the kitchen at all. The egg rolls were horrible. Yes it was crispy on the outside but my goodness, the vegetables were soggy inside! The beef broccoli had more broccoli than the beef itself.
