Have been here a few times and what a gem this place is. Jack the waiter is the best! Knows his menu well, is quick and efficient. The food is fresh, hot and very tasty! For a little hole in the wall they are making amazing food. My only suggestion is to get rid of the fish tank. It doesn't look well taken care of and the last time I was there one of the fishes looked like it was on its way out. Not something you want to see at dinner but over all this place makes good food and the price is right!!!! read more

Came here to have a late dinner and this is the only place in this plaza that's open. So we had to try it and it's a good thing we did. Our server is very nice and very attentive to my party. This place closes in 30 mins and still told us that it's ok since we gave a big party. Food wise is very good. Every dish is freshly cooked. Very clean and has many seatings. The food is always great. Service is always wonderful. However cleanliness was lacking today. Went to the bathroom , no toilet paper, ask for some and handed a roll. I went to sit on the Womans toilet and there is a large puddle of pee. So i don't want to put my feet in the puddle so i again asked for the bathroom to be cleaned.. the girl working behind the counter grabs a mop without the bucket and mops up the pee... then takes the mop without a bucket across the restaurant to the bucket and puts it back in... training is needed in sanitary cleaning a bathroom... took me back a bit... so that is why I'm commenting. Called because I received a a menu in my mailbox . I called and placed an order since I seen the lunch specials. Upon calling the lady didn't know the deals. She stated they didn't have lunch specials. Mind you I called early. I hung up she called back and said she did have lunch specials after all. First time here and it was amazing! Parking is a little tough. There is a lot going on in this center. Be careful, because there are a few spots labeled 15 minute parking only. On to the service. The man was super friendly and welcoming. He asked if it was the first time here and we said yes and he said welcome! We order the walnu shrimp (10/10), sautéed green beans (10/10), chicken potstickers (8/10h), chicken chow fun (8/10), shrimp fried rice (10/10). Food had so much flavor and was absolutely delicious! The chicken chow fun was great, however next time may ask for no bean sprouts. I don't mind them, my husband does not like them. The chicken potstickers were yum, I would have loved them to be a little crispier, but overall EVERYTHING was amazing! There was plenty of seating. Didn't feel cramped. This was the first time we have tried Szechuwan Garden and we definitely will go back. Unfortunately we ordered take out and our Honey Spicey chicken should probably be eaten as a dine-in dish. The flavor was yummy but the breading is a bit thick similar to sweet and sour chicken and by the time we got home it was soggy and mushy. We also ordered cashew nut chicken and beef fried rice which were both delicious The Cashew chicken had a delicious brown sauce and I would definitely order again. The beef fried rice was light and not greasy! Really good flavors. I would definitely come back to try more dishes! And id like to check out the dining in aspect. read more

Went out in a cozy rainy night and decided to eat at the restaurant instead of take out. We started with the Pu Pu platter appetizer which came with a little grill to heat up food. It was almost enough food for 3 small people dinner. Then we got Bok choy with mushrooms, Cashew Chicken and Crispy Walnut shrimp. They were all delicious. We have enough left over for lunch. FOOD POISONING! First time eating here I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know about my experience. This was my first time eating at Szechuan Garden, and unfortunately it will be my last. The restaurant looked poorly maintained, and the prices were much higher than I felt the food and overall experience justified. About an hour after eating, I became extremely sick. I went to my doctor, who diagnosed me with food poisoning. While it's impossible to know with absolute certainty where it came from, the timing made this a very concerning experience for me. Based on the condition of the restaurant, the high prices, and becoming seriously ill shortly after my meal, I won't be returning and can't recommend eating here. read more

Main entree, fried or steamed rice, egg roll and choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup. Disappointing experience. I stopped in to place a to-go order for my family after a long day. I was seated, then told I couldn't be served. I only wanted a quick bite while my takeout was being prepared, but the staff made me feel unwelcome and turned me away after already seating me. I used to order take-out here probably on average once a week or so. I always thought it was odd that the person I would talk to on the phone did not "match" the person from whom I would pick-up food. I made up a story in my head that, ' that person I spoke with must be in the back somewhere..' Anywho, the last time I spoke with someone on the phone, I wanted to know specifically the special items listed on their sandwich board inside the restaurant's waiting area. The woman out me on hold and then got back to me that it's actually the listed item on their menu-- I'm thinking, "weird"-- so I order the item as she suggested. IT WAS WRONG. Upon entering the restaurant to pick up my meal-- I see the item written on that sandwich board and it's not the same item that woman assured me. I tell the receptionist there and she then explains that the Szechuwan Garden uses a 3rd party to take orders for them. At that point, I was disappointed to hear about this method. I felt misled. Anywho, my preference is if I can't directly contact the restaurant, I'm not interested. So I've moved on to a different restaurant that I now enjoy thoroughly more because of the personal interaction. read more

This is the second time I have ordered string beans and it comes out sad, soggy and overcooked. They must have a big pot with over cooked string beans in the back. This was our first time ordering from Szechuwan Garden and there some misses. We placed our order over the phone for pickup. I ordered the Szechuan Shrimp but was given the the wrong dish. The sauce on the dish was amazing but the shrimp had a thick breading that I wasn't expecting. My husband order the Kung Paw Chicken which didn't come with bell peppers or onions that we expected. I learned that traditional Kung Paw doesn't come with vegetables. It was tasty, just wished it had more peanuts and a bit more spice. I did upgrade my dish to a full meal and this is where things were a bit of a miss.... My Cream Cheese Wonton was a overcooked. My Chicken Wrap was also overcooked. The Eggroll was soggy but that can be from it being a pickup order. I also had Wonton soup which was VERY tasty, however, the center of my Wontons were cold. The both was to die for, so much flavor. I voiced my concerns and received a phone call from the owner. My first thought was to give them a 1 star until we talked. He was understanding and explained to me where they made mistakes and how traditional Chinese food is different from what we have had before. We got there before five pm on a weekday and with only one other couple there I was surprised as to the lackluster service. The waitress acted as though she was forced to be there. Not rude but lifeless. The restaurant itself felt more like a takeout rather than a nice comfortable Chinese restaurant . The food at your local Panda Express is tastier and has friendlier employees. But the food here was as lackluster as the service.. It arrived quickly but cold. Tasted more like reheated leftovers. Prices are competitive. As someone mentioned the sign does say Chinese and Japanese food but I'm not sure why. read more

The BEST Chinese food in the area. We have been to every Chinese place around, and this is the most flavorful, best portion size, and friendliest for 25 miles. We usually come for lunch specials, which are available every day except holidays from 11-4. They are always very large portions and include soup and an egg roll. I'll attach a photo of the menu. Pricing for lunch is around $10-$11. Lunch is always lightening fast, which is nice when we are in a hurry. We usually get the beef and broccoli, the Kung pao three delight, and the Honey Walnut shrimp. There is always a large portion of protein, but there are also great, fresh vegetables too. Unlike other places, the veggies are added to the dish, not as filler like some other places. We highly, highly, recommend this restaurant!!! I eat here at least twice month. I could say that they have one of the better lunch specials (until 4pm) in the area. Ranging from 10-12 dollars there is a wide range of choices. Served with soup, rice, and an egg roll the lunch portion can easily be split into two meals. My favorite choices are the house special tofu, chicken and broccoli, moo shu chicken, and the crispy shredded beef. The lady on the phone was friendly. The food was ready when I arrived and still hot when I got back to his house. Everything looked delicious. The Shrimp & Snow Peas was very good. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and was tender & juicy. The Crispy Sweet & Spicy Shrimp was also delish. The breading wasn't excessive, and the sauce was tasty. Everyone else said that both chicken dishes were great. The portions were generous. There were four of us and there was still plenty left over. The restaurant is located inside a strip mall.
