Solid Jersey Diner. 500 things on the menu, food delivered faster than fast food joints, clean, service is fast and pleasant, food is typical diner fare nothing great but nothing bad. Burgers are above average. I recommend going with the "Mini Meal" plenty of food and save a couple of buck! Meals come with salad, nice size. They serve complimentary Cheese bread and cinnamon bread, similar to Mastoris, I wonder if there is a connection? Reasonable prices and good portions. Not the OMG look at all this food portions like some of the other diners. Hope they make it, it is nice to have a solid diner in the area!!!! read more

Went to this diner shortly after it reopened. Terrible food! I ordered one if their cheeseburgers. It was a frozen patty that was like rubber. Fries were undercooked and soggy. We ordered the crab soup. Claimed it was Alaskan king crab but was imitation crab meat in a gooey cream broth. The lettuce and tomato on burger were horrible and def not fresh! Food tasted old. Service was slow. Not sure why the diner is packed all the time. New outside of diner but same old crappy food! French onion soup was awful! This is a diner staple and this was terrible. I have been here twice for a lunch and a dinner. Good service, friendly helpful waitresses. A huge menu, lunch and dinner specials with American and Italian favortes, prime rib, steak, chops, and seafood. Both visits I've had the salmon, broiled and teriyaki glaze, both were excellent, moist and delicious. I look forward to future visits and trying other specialties. read more

Love Pandora Diner. We went on the Wednesday before the 4th Of July. When we walked in we were seated right away by the Friendly hostess. Our server, whose name was Meredith was very attentive and very friendly the whole time we where there, she told us about the soup specials that they had that evening and then gave us time to look over the menu. I ordered the honey Dijon chicken breast with Portabella mushrooms red peppers and mozzarella cheese, served with roasted potatoes. Then for dessert I had the carrot cake. All I have to say about the entire meal was that everything was absolutely out standing. The Ambience of the place was very nice, the music was not too loud and it was music that you didn't mind listening to. While we were there the owner came over and introduced himself and told us a little bit about the diner and How they use local growers in the area For their farm fresh vegetables fruits and other things. Looking over all the prices I was pleasantly surprised with them. Pandora diner definitely has a new customer and we will be coming back very soon. P.s They also offer take-out. read more

This is a repeat kind of place that I found out from a recommendation. It is one of the better diners in the area. If you want dinner, this is the diner to go to versus the others. Today for lunch was my third time eating here. Wasn't impressed the previous visits either which is disappointing because the restaurant is very nice, it's the kitchen that needs help. My last visit I had a ravioli of some sort with a supposedly a home made sauce. If it wasn't chef boy ardee sauce than I need a new set of taste buds. Today's visit I had burger who's name I cant remember that's how unimpressed I was. It had pork roll that didnt seemed to be cooked or not cooked enough, jalapeño peppers lettuce, tomato and a frozen beef patty that lacked any sort of seasoning. Almost failed to mention the crab seafood bisque concoction that was water down heavy creame, tasteless and filled with what appeared to be imitation crabmeat. The kids weren't impressed either, thier mozzarella sticks were not cooked all the way through and they wife wasn't overly impressed with her chicken avocado and bacon sandwich. If you truly want to succeed stop cutting corners and actually make things from scratch properly, there is a seafood company not two miles from you check them out and for the love of God make your own burger patties! My family goes to eat at Pandora almost every Sunday after church. The diner can be extremely busy about 15-20 minute wait sometimes longer. Once your seated though there is amazing service generally. The entire time we have been going there only one or two experiences with average service. Other than that knowledgeable servers, a wide selection of foods from steak, to burgers, salads, breakfast, fish, wraps, soups, the list goes on and on. My family mostly get salads, burgers,steaks, or chicken fingers. The salads are the biggest in any diner or restaurant for that matter around. The burgers (when cooked right) are the best I've had. Hurts your hand just to hold them; all the toppings besides the cheese is left on the side and fresh as they come. The coslaw is ridiculously good creamy with a great balance of tastes. The steak I get almost every week is the caramelized New York sirloin (cooked medium) it's tender and juicy cooked perfectly more often than not. Cant go wrong with chicken fingers. I give this diner a 5 out of 5 and the best diner in the area and one of the best in South Jersey by far! read more

Standard diner fare -- nothing particularly special, prices are on the high side. We went there a few times, but will not return. For one thing, the service was very slow and absolutely awful with unfriendly waitresses each time we were there. We complained to the manger lady (or so she said she was) and her response: "Too bad." Is this any way to run a restaurant -- or is it solely a money machine for the owners? My advice: Stay away. Had the most delicious lunch today at Pandora. We had the chicken salad sub which was accompanied by gigantic and perfectly fried onion rings. Also ordered an open face chicken, mushrooms, asparagus, and provolone melt on top of grilled rye bread. Unbelievably seasoned and so delicious. The French fries were crisp and hot. To start off we had a bowl of fresh and creamy pea soup. This place is a gem and the gals working there are attentive and sweet. We will back again and again. Not to also mention their portions are very generous so we walked away with leftovers and will be able to enjoy this delicious food again later!!!! read more

First time visit to Pandora Diner, breakfast yesterday with 2 friends on our day off 11/11/14. Service was satisfactory. Odd experience when my omelet and toast arrived within 5 minutes, they were not hot just luke warm. When I bit into eggs they were quiet dry. This was definitely premade. Tell me what could be easier or quicker to make then an omelet? Never had this experience before, Usually we frequent the Coach Diner in Bordentown where they offers great lox. stopped there for lunch on 5/4/21.. raved about this diner to my sister...our waitress was a loser, Adrian.. we asked for a few more minutes as your menu is extensive.. she popped an attitude right there.. we got our water and soup after placing our order.. screwed up my sisters sandwich-she wanted NO Old bay on her filet of flounder sandwich.. cole slaw and pickle never came till i asked another waitress. after finishing our meal, Adrian hollered clear across the dining area if we wanted to-go boxes, she was busy folding silverware in napkins at the time. i ignored her.. very unprofessional. my sister went out the door as i was NOT going to let this go. i paid our bill. then i grabbed the night manager, Stacy i believe, who happened to take our payment. i mentioned to her what happened.. she admitted she heard Adrian holler to us regarding the to go boxes.. i will continue to visit your diner.. but will never have that clown wait on us.. food is delicious, atmosphere is fantastic...service?? a zero. sad part is i waited tables in my day and never treated customers in this fashion.. did i mention we drove over an hr to eat lunch here?? sad. read more

We were a group of 13 visiting Pandora for the first time. They do not take reservations, figured it would be a long wait, we were seated within 20 minutes, very good. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The menu, well it has to many choices, I was afraid I would still be there today trying to figure out what I wanted to eat. I did choose a Salmon dish, they had many varieties to chose from, I went with the Bruschetta Salmon over angle hair pasta. Started off with soup, a bisque. The salmon was cooked perfectly, a slight crispy skin with the meat perfectly cooked. The pasta was perfect and the Bruschetta was fresh and tasty. They also had a nice selection of desserts that came with the meal. I had to Boston Cream cake. Ok, was it good? Yes, delicious but it was not a Boston Cream but a very tasty white cake with Whip Cream. The prices were very good for the dinners they offered. Our waitress was so sweet and showed a lot of restraint trying to take all the orders. Pandora is approx. an hour ride from Toms River but we will be going again and again. read more

I don't want to criticize the food because it was fine but I only had an omelette. I was driving by w my sister one day and she said 'they have good food' so since I go by there coming home from work often (I work all over NJ and Pa) I stopped on a particularly late night, ordered a spinach omelette and home fries. Firstly, I did not come w home fries I guess, they did not give me toast (I assumed ALL omelettes come w HF & toast) and it was over $9. The omelette was 'fine' the home fries were nothing to brag about and for $9 and change for an omelette w nothing but cheese and spinach I think that price was ridiculous. So I can't say it was bad but it was nothing special and I cannot see how anyone can charge $9+ for about 75 cents worth of mediocre food. I would not go back. read more

Food was great, service was great, manager was awful. We came in pretty close to close and felt bad but we wanted a quick bite to eat after attending the nearby wrestling show. The waitress was very kind and told us it was no big deal and made us feel very welcomed. The problem came when we went to pay. The owner came up after we had a pleasant conversation with the waiter and waitress behind the counter and asked my boyfriend if he was the last person in the bathroom. My boyfriend said I guess and the owner then tells him that he left the sink on. My boyfriend apologized because he didn't mean to. And the owner tells him it was no accident and that he was trying to sabotage his business. My boyfriend continues apologizing. He tells him you don't forget to do that and that it was on purpose and that he can't come to his business and do that. It was a sink, dude. And an accident. The menu is gigantic, and the servings huge. The staff, however, is hit and miss. They need to wear name tags, or at least introduce themselves. I saw a server playing with her long blond hair constantly. Mine gave me coffee, but no spoon. She kept calling an elderly male/female couple sitting near us "You Guys." She went off to get us extra napkins, but then stopped to put something in the sink, and forgot about the napkins. When the food came, the vegetables were missing. However, we've had other servers there that are terrific. The male owner/manager is friendly and helpful. The female one acts bored. So proceed with caution. read more

Had lunch there twice and both times the food was not good. Had turkey with mashed, etc., the first time - not good tasting at all. The split pea soup was lousy, also. The second time for lunch I had chopped sirloin (hamburger steak to be cooked medium well. It was so overcooked it was dry and hardly edible. I told the waitress and she didn't even comment - like she was disinterested. Had chicken soup, which was not at all tasty. My friend's burger was do overcooked and dry he could not eat it with the bun - even outside the bun it was barely edible. Again, the waitress shrugged it off. The kitchen staff cannot make soup, they cannot cook burgers, and they cannot make a simple turkey platter. I won't be going back and neither will my friend. read more

Pandora is a new restaurant and it is showing growing pains. On the plus side, it has a vast menu, much larger than those large North Jersey diners which are the envy of the culinary world. Pandora's prices are quite moderate and the food is mostly excellent. (We've eaten there about six or seven times since it opened.) On the minus side are a few members of the wait staff: Some of the them are slow, inefficient and even get orders wrong. On the other hand, there are a few who are absolutely excellent. My tip is to find one you like and ask for her the next time you go there. Otherwise you'll get someone who may not be good. Overall, try it; it's worth a visit or two. read more

It's so sad that I am giving this place a one star because my food was not bad but the service was awful. It wasn't like the line was out the door we were seated quickly and I realized real quick that many servers were scattered all around. My waitress was less than friendly even when I asked her what was her favorite food she responded pepperoni pizza which they don't serve here. Many mistakes were made my husbands order was incorrect and then even when pointed out to the waitress there seemed like no urgency or care to fix it . Then my burger was med well which I had said specifically well done I ate around it because I couldn't find my waitress at all. All the wait staff seemed to be huddled up in corners gossiping terrible service terrible experience i def will not return especially for spending all that money to get ok food and a waitress who's only concern was what she was gonna eat. read more

It is with a heavy heart that I write a 3 star review for this diner. When Pandora first opened we visited quite a lot and for some time after as well. Always had a wonderful meal and great service. The place is bright and airy and clean which is a plus. It is close to our home so we were frequent visitors. Food always tasted great and looked great as well. Due to family issues we had not been to Pandora in probably a year's time and recently we stopped for a meal. What a difference. I had always enjoyed the omelettes and almost all the food I ever ordered at Pandora's in the past. This time the food was barely ok. It took the waitress four attempts at getting our order right and by the time we got our food it was sub par. My fond memories of a few years of great meals at Pandora were wiped out by our last visit. The menu had changed as well and our favorite salads were not longer on the menu. Not sure what happened but I am not sure if we will revisit to find out. read more

We went on Saturday morning (12/3/16) and made the mistake of being seated on the "restaurant-side" of the diner/restaurant. It was 11:30 AM and they handed us the lunch/dinner menu. When we asked for the breakfast menu, the waitress told us that after 11:30 AM, all diners in New Jersey transition over to a lunchtime/dinner menu, and that we had limited breakfast options. I told her that we had been here before and that was NEVER the case! I told her I wanted the No. 3 French Toast Special with bacon, sausage, and ham and she said that I could get only one (1) meat choice and the cost of my coffee would be extra [NOTE: the coffee is included with this special!!!]. I explained that this was one of the Pandora's Specials and I had gotten it before after 11:30 AM. She went away and came back with the breakfast menu and told me that the meal I wanted was only served from Monday-to-Friday, which was true if I ordered from that particular list of specials, but the No. 3 Special was on a different page. I subsequently flipped to the proper page and showed her, whereby she left. The breakfast came out and the food was very good, however we could have done without all the drama. Also, when my wife and I went to the restrooms to wash-up before eating, we estimated the number of patrons eating breakfast around us in both the "restaurant" and "diner" portions of the establishment at around 80%! I will NEVER sit in the "restaurant" portion (i.e., the right-hand portion of the establishment as you enter) ever again. If the "diner" portion is full, I will opt to wait, since the "restaurant " portion seems to be filled with waitresses who are just plain weird. read more
