    10. SALAMI, HAM & PEPPERONI

Was craving a sandwich and stopped by here, which was well worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cozy sandwich shop with friendly staff and fast service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the salami, pepperoni, and ham sandwich with aioli sauce. The sandwich was very filling with crunchy bread, fresh cold cuts, greens that were not over shinning, and aioli that gave the perfect bite each time. It was the first time I had been in here and will not be the last. Definitely will have to try the famous banh mi next time.

Pane Pane is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Seattle which makes it the perfect grab-and-go lunch spot. I tried the prosciutto, mozzarella, and pesto sandwich and thought it was decent, but nothing spectacular. The bread was pretty dry, most likely because they only put pesto on the sides of the bread. It was also pretty pricey (close to $20 after tax and tips) but the portion was fairly big.

Sweet local spot for fast affordable sandwiches. A nice break from fancier options near the downtown hotels. We had a BBQ chicken bahn mi and a turkey sandwich: both were well-filled on soft, crunchy rolls. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are just a few stools for seating inside and the walls feature promo posters for local events, so you can plan your weekend while you eat![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great sandwich shop! I got the turkey/avocado. My sister in law got the turkey/avocado/bacon. They were tasty for sure. They have a chipotle mayo sauce that really made them great! Wonderful service. Outside the establishment was a lot of sketchy folks doing drugs so that was the only downside. Not sure I would take my kids to eat here with the people outside slumped over doing the fentanyl bend or the guy pacing back and forth with crack pipe hanging out his mouth. We basically got our food and kept trekking back to our hotel. I feel bad for the businesses having to deal with this as I'm sure it deflects customers. Bathroom was closed. I assume to keep the homeless and drug users out! Unfortunate for paying customers since it's hard to find clean bathrooms outside your hotel.

This sandwich spot will seriously knock your socks off, and without breaking the bank! I opted for the Turkey avocado bacon Swiss and enjoyed every bite. I love the banh mi style baguette bread too. The staff was beyond kind. This is a total hidden gem, right between 3rd and 4th on Union. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

I have eaten here 3-4 times and I always walk away kicking myself for going there. The bread is terrible, meat is nothing special...

As much if not cheaper than subway. Easily ten times better. I didn't expect my breakfast sandwich to taste this good.

Bonus: this spot is kosher! Potato Latkes (5/5): These latkes are thick boys and fried up so they're piping hot when they hit the table. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.

Do you happen to live in Washington and miss said pastrami sando? My friend, I have good news for you. Dingfelder's pastrami is a dead ringer for that sandwich: huge slices of melt-in-your-mouth pastrami, regular and half sour pickles, and all the other accoutrements you'd expect from a legit Jewish deli. This place doesn't screw around. If you want a great, hearty, flavor-packed sandwich, this is one of the best places to throw your money. But, as others have pointed out, it's no cheap date: expect to pay over $20 for one of those mighty pastrami sandwiches. This isn't Subway so you're not saving money by eating here, but after one bite of their pastrami you'll understand why you're paying so much. Quality isn't cheap. I'd say this place is tied with Tat's Deli for the best sandwiches in Seattle.

I'd heard they were good, but holy smokes, I didn't realize they would be *that* good. Here are my recommendations: - Get the Tatstrami. Its combination of flavors is so freaking good. - Order online and then sweep in and pick it up. Since the place does most of its business during lunchtime, there's always a line and this is a way to skip that. If you want to venture beyond a pastrami sandwich, I highly recommend the chicken cheesesteak. While I normally opt for beef when it comes to cheesesteaks, Tat's actually isn't amazing but their chicken one is. So get that instead. In short, this is tied with Dingfelders for the best sandwich in Seattle. Pay it a visit and bring your appetite.
