This location has always been a crapshoot. It's usually dirty and the food sucks compared to other paneras I've been too. Today, like 60% of the tables were dirty, and during the hour I was their I saw customers cleaning of themselves, not a single worker doing it, and the drop off station for the dishes was FULL of dirty dishes and trash, literally no were to put your stuff after you are done. The lettuce in my salad was super wilted and there was a giant puddle of dressing at the bottom. The staff is super nice, so this could be a poor training/management issue or a lack of hands on deck. Management either needs to retrain some folks or get more people for the shifts. I wish I could enjoy coming to this location more often. read more

I was very excited to finally try out this location with a drive thru!! But I left very disappointed. My meal cost me $14.00!! For a small half sandwich & chicken salad, was charged full price for the half wow!! That's ridiculous, small salad almost $6.00! They should really consider lunch combos or some sort of deals.. I could of went somewhere else for more of the amount for less. They should really let customers know good deals not trick us. When I drove off I realized I had ask for apple since she ask apple or bread ? and they gave me a piece of bread instead that was just on top of a napkin. Not ok. This place is a frigging joke. I dont know how many times I waited in the line at drive thru to finally reach the menu to order only to tell me they ran out of what I want which was the warm grain bowl.This has been either oatmeal now its rice for the warm grain Bowl. Very disrespectful cashier. I frequent Panera Pasadena and I love them. Alhambra location needs a lot of training! I added a smoothie to my order and the cashier proceeded to tell me how much it cost. I didn't ask how much it cost because I go to Panera quite often. I asked her why she told me the price and she said because Panera prices are a surprise to the customers. ???? Really?? I told her she should not stereotype and/or assume a person cannot afford the food ordered. I further told her how frequently I eat at Panera and I did not appreciate her customer service. Checked-in yesterday at the place, but I didn't finish my review. Let me say, that I'm generally able to "go" places around 4 pm, after work. I'm just frustrated that yesterday and today, they don't have my scrumptious cinnamon crunch bagel! The cashier yesterday told me that the last baking time was at 3 pm... yet! Today at 10:00 a.m. I was told to order lunch for 50 people by 12:30 p.m. I called the district manager Airin and she was able to pull it off for me. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches, chips and cookie. They were all individually wrapped. I am beyond unhappy with this Panera. In a time of grief I tried to order my family food, and this location made day hell! The manager was a total idiots and thank god an employee ( I don't know her name but I'll find out) set her manager straight. I ordered soup, macaroni and bagels. Not a complicated order. I placed the order by 11:30am via the Panera app. I said I would pick the order up at 1pm. We are dealing with a loss in our family and I wanted to feed our guest. At 3:30pm I was arguing with the manager about why my order was not ready. His excuse was.. "we are so busy, we couldn't fulfill your order on time, but I can offer you a free pastry" Really!!?? This was an 85.00 order of food. It's soup and macaroni. You put it in a cup and we're on our way. This Panera ALWAYS f*cks up the simplest things on my order. Whether they forget to put something in my bag, substitute a wrong side for something i didn't order, whatever it is, it never fails, every single time. The food is always hit or miss too. So I went through the drive thru and ordered a bread from there bakery section , when I get to the cashier the guy said he had forgotten what I ordered.. after he had already gave me my total.. so he had to redo the order which is fine no issue.. what I had order was just bakery stuff so it shouldn't take too long.. it took the guy 6 mins .. honestly don't know what he was doing most of the time.. but he toook forever and so when I finally paid he never gave me my card back, was extremely rude to me and didn't even give me a chance to speak the window shut and I was there waiting for him to see me through window so I can get my card back.. he didn't walk by at all.. so I decided to park and walk inside and get my card and when I go in there's a female cashier in the front and i told her what had happen ! And the guy walk past and said oh yeah she forgot her card it's right there and pointed at the counter.. so the female grabs the cards and asks me for my ID!!!! Okay I get it for safety reasons! But do you really need my ID after YOU guys forgot to give me my card back? So I had to walk out into my car and grab my walllet .. very rude and my bread was burnt !!! Ate at the Alhambra location with my mom. Had tomato soup and Greek salad both of us got a stomach virus so bad we were I. Bed for a week. Diarrhea and vomiting. I called to let them know and they didn't care the said they will call the CDC if someone else calls. The tables were all dirty with food on them and on the floor. We asked for a wet towel to clean the tables they gave us a very smelly towel! They also forgot our bread with our order we had to ask for it and for butter they acted like no one puts butter on bread because they asked what's the butter for why do you need butter and gave us only two little butter pack one each. The bathrooms were also disgusting! The location on foothill we've been there a few times and it seems every time we go there all the tables are dirty also. I don't really feel they deserve one star They actually deserve a negative 5 stars for being a filthy dump. It will be awhile before we trust a Panera bread location any where. read more

I've been to this location three times over the past two months. All takeout. Each time I've visited this location has been a weekend, between noon and 3 pm or so. Each time I purchased food for two people, including salad, or Mac cheese, soup or chili, plus a sandwich and dessert for two. I've had no problems and the food has been very good and as expected. The service has been quick. Each time I was asked if I was a rewards member and offered a reward item if eligible. I've been to other Panera restaurants (Pasadena, Covina and Monrovia) and the service was comparable. read more

It's not even 9:00 am on a Saturday morning and the soap dispenser in the Men's Restroom is empty and there's only one lid left in the coffee area. Someone's not paying attention! Breakfast sandwich, sausage egg & cheese was OK but not worth repeating. No salt or pepper at tables and I didn't want to get up and hunt for it, so had my sandwich w/o pepper which didn't help my opinion of the sandwich. Coffee (dark roast) is only OK as well. First time, last time (Alhambra Panera only) My first impression was that it was bland and lifeless. I felt like I was walking into a library and got the sense I needed to be quiet. I was hoping to see a plethora of baked goods like other Panera's I've eaten at. This one had minimal selections which was disappointing. I ordered a cinnamon roll for my toddler and a bagel for myself. I asked if they could warm the cinnamon roll. And, you know what the staff told me?! "There's a microwave over there" and pointed to it. I was so ready to leave but my son wanted to eat there. Fine. I got my bagel which was hard. Totally disappointed. I told my friend whose a Panera fanatic about my experience at this establishment, and we will never step in again. Unless serious changes are made. I read the reviews right before writing mine, and this store has no 5 stars. Whoever owns this store or manages, I hope you are reading this and previous reviews.
