Avoid this location at all costs! Not only does this location usually take forever, but they often mess up orders. I went today and specifically asked to have the dressing for my salad on the side. When I picked up my order there was no dressing in the bag, so I went back and asked them if they put dressing on it. They opened it up and 2 ladies said there wasn't dressing on it, but of course there was. My salad was drenched with dressing with mostly toppings and not enough lettuce. Normally I order my food online and just pick up and go. Today my daughter and I decided to have lunch together so we went in. There were 2 guests in front of us and 2 cashiers. We waited 25 minutes in line to even place our order. Then we walked into the dining room to find a table. The place was a mess. Food and trash on the floors, tables and even the seats. The nice young man delivered our food and my daughters order was wrong. She ordered a whole salad and they gave her a half. So I had to take it up and ask for it to be remade. Overall I'd say this was an awful experience and for what they charge they should at least be able to keep the dining area clean. I know some who read this may ask "why didn't you just use the kiosk to order?" I tend not to use those because personally I feel like it reduces the business' need for employees which is bad for the economy but I think in the future I will #1 be placing my order online and #2 eating it elsewhere. read more

This location is an absolute delight. I am always greeted with a smile and hello. It is very hard to find GREAT customer service these days. Everyone from the cashiers to the sandwich makers are very friendly and helpful. The manager even comes by our table every visit just to make sure everything was right. Hats off to a wonderful place to just relax and eat. Everyone should have a place like this in their neighborhood. Panera Bread has been one of my family's favorite places to eat after church on a Sunday afternoon. For one thing the atmosphere is very nice and the place is always clean! That's very important to me..Some of my favorite offerings are the Asian Sesame Chicken Salad and the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Both served very fresh and with generous portions! Plus..the bread that they serve with the food is always very fresh and compliments the salads very well! The food is usually served up pretty quickly and brought to your table with a smile! I have never experienced bad service at this place.. What's also very cool about this place is the fact that they have Wi Fi..which is great if you have a laptop and want to surf the internet while you munch on lunch..they also have specialty coffee and desserts to keep you refreshed while you do your work or surf the net for fun! Too bad they aren't 24 hours..I'm sure this place would be constantly busy! What a novel concept! They need more restaurants like this around town.. This is by far one of the dirtiest Paneras I have ever been to. Tables will remain dirty with dirty dishes long after the customers have left. The floor is a sticky mess where there is tile, and the carpet was vacuumed maybe in the morning? Completely filthy. The management needs to direct the staff to clean, but they're too busy gossipping in the corner with the rest of the staff to notice. I hope senior management takes notice of this post, as I will not longer go back to this place. Whatever you do, do not use the app to order! I've done it a few times, and the first time it was super easy, I loved it! But the second time I waited way over the promised ten minutes- it was more like 30+, and then once I did get the food it wasn't all there. Today I figured I would try it again, but it charged my card and didn't submit the order. I didn't want to try it again as it may just charge my card again without submitting the order. And since I understand these things happen, I tried calling them to make sure that my money would be returned to the card. However, if you try and call them they don't even answer the phone. An automated system puts you on hold. Their customer service at this store is just non-existent! You can feel it when you eat there as well, since the employees at this branch are just unfriendly. They would rather chat with one another than give a customer a smile or a "hello." Panera charges enough to deliver decent customer service. So today after driving for two hours I stop by to pick up dinner... I large Mac and cheese - very simple ; however the cashier was seemly having issues with the day as we waited in line for ten mins after she had a conversation with her manager about the guest before me; (instead of having the conversation after they have helped the line) - so we wait as the line get longer and then I order but only had a c note for payment. The same cashier went to the back for another five mins to I guess get change as the line now grows - her attitude when she returned with the change almost made me change my mind; but since I waited to be serve I went thru with the transaction- customer service should be first then complain to your boss after ! Well this use to be one of my fav places as my grandkids love it too. But the last four times I have went. The floors were filthy and every time we had to not only wash our table but clean the seats...nasty. I asked for the table to be washed and someone came by with a dirty, smelly towel and just ran it over and then all the dirt was on the seats. So went and got paper towels from the bathroom and soap and water and the white towels were brown due to dirty tables. The salad I ordered had missing fruits because it was going off the menu. Well take it down if it is not complete. My granddaughter within several hours got very sick and i am sure it was food poisoning. I talked to the young manager it was Friday night and you could tell she could care less. She said well the vacuum is too loud. Really? Well get a carpet sweeper or you could of used a small broom and dust pan as it was big chunks of food. No I am sorry, nothing so not wasting my money there anymore. The service at this location has gone downhill. They seem to have a staff full of flippant teenagers and managers that don't care or just want to complain about being overwhelmed. Today my family and I ordered three breakfast sandwiches and yogurt and fruit to enjoy there. I heard the cashier call for the yogurt when I ordered it. When our sandwiches were delivered the young man said the yogurt wasn't ready yet but he would bring it when it was. We finished our entire breakfast and still no yogurt. I had to go up and ask and then get a flippant response from the kid on whether I just wanted it to go. Right in front of the manager who didn't even blink. Also figured out why it took so long as the kid who was supposed to make it was to busy giving high fives joking around with the other kids that work there. Again right in front of the manager. Who just keeps working making sandwiches. Panera is not inexpensive fast food. Most locations provide quality service and food which makes it worth the price. For example the Walnut Creek Bancroft location is excellent. This Antioch location is failing at this. There used to be responsible and responsive teens working there, but today it was like a scene out of a bad teenage movie watching these kids goof off and be flippant and rude right in front of the manager. No one seems to care which explains why there was no line on a Sunday morning like there used to be. read more

In the morning you expect hot fresh coffee. On any weekday if there is coffee expect it to be two hours old, or the pot to be empty Both are daily rituals. The other problem is the coffee is so weak their dark roast has no taste. Sometimes it's a lighter color than tea. When I commented they said it is their new "green" menu and they can't change how the coffee is made. Servers are always pleasant, but Bagel Street Cafe actually has very hot coffee that is fresh not two hours old, better breakfast sandwiches and a much bigger selection of bagels. The Panera in Concord always has hot fresh coffee, don't waste your time and money here. I have given up, and would give them ZERO stars if that was an option. read more

Gotta love this place. The atmosphere is so inviting, my girlfriends and I always have lunch here when we have a day off. I always order the Mediterranean Sandwich (vegetarian friendly!), and it is incredible. The sandwich could be a bit bigger though. The last two times I have been to Panera, which me and my kids love they have messed up our order. Waiting 20 minutes to receive just Mac and Cheese was ridiculous yesterday, and the ones seated already had their food, therefore I suspect the one food preparer/filler was filling the take out orders. I'm probably right with this guess because I saw big bags on the counter and also in the Quick Pickup Cart. Both times I had to ask for my food. My breakfast was delivered after a long wait, but my Latte never was and was told it was on it's way. When It never came and I was done with my breakfast I went up to the counter and they said they made it and looked dumbfounded. Again, where is management? Why is is there only one person on register, one person making food and one person delivering the food when it was study with customers? Come on management, GET IT TOGETHER. What to say about panera bread.. their bread bowls are pretty good, a lot better than a lot of other places in town. The pastries and bread that you can buy are what you would expect from a "bakery" as this. I like that they have free wifi so that me and my wife can get some work done while we eat. Now for the many downsides.. if your here for a great sandwhich then promptly walk out the door. The sandwhiches here are severyly lack luster. If you call two very thin slices of meat thrown together with some sprouty randomness then by all means this is a fantastic sandwhich. However it is not, there is hardley any meat or flavor in them at all. This is the main reason why I have them three stars. The other reason would be the 2-3 young kids farting around not making your food and instead chatting it up with each other which is why it takes so long to get your order. Please get some better workers. The older staff on the other hand are very curtious and helpful. read more

I really liked Panera Bread a first the sandwich's were so good and the broccoli soup is very good and their bear claw yummy I really like their baked goods they are so good, however I do have to add the reason I give it one star is there appalling customer services I have been in there on four different occasions to give them a chance the first time was great no problems but not the other three, second visit I made the women at the cashier argued with me about the sandwich I wanted like seriously I know what I want she was thinking of a different sandwich but I was rich on what the sandwich was called no apology nothing, third to gave me the wrong sandwich I drove to work and was going to eat it for lunch and it was the wrong one after work went back and they switched sandwich's I checked in the place and it was wrong again no apology again just "what baked good do you want" so rude, what we set me off was the last time when I had a manager stand there while the cashier was rude and disrespectful she stood right there and I know she was a manager because I have spoken to her before, overall great food really good but if you like being talked down to and being spoken to like a child like you don't know what you want and no apologies then this is the place for you! read more
