Let me start by saying I love Panera and we lunch there about 4 times a week! Yes, we love them. This location is really unacceptable. The rapid pick ups are always later than promised, but today took the cake. So, it's 20 minutes past the time stated. The place is not real packed. There's 4 of us waiting for rapid pick up. Everyone is upset. Now, I need to go back to work so I ask for the manager and a refund because I have to leave. The woman tells me she is not sure where the manager is but there are rapid pickups sitting by the kitchen area. I tell her I prefer a refund, she ignores me, hands me a bag among 5-6 bags rolls her eyes and huffs off. The other people waiting were not even offered theirs! Seriously, I could not believe it. But OK I will make it a working lunch and leave. The food is ALL wrong. The Mac and cheese was cold from sitting and had literally about 10 pieces of Mac but was full to the top with cilantro. There was no turkey sandwich instead a salad sandwich or they made it and gave no turkey at all? Literally the very last straw at this location. I've never really been to a Panera before so what I might think is terrible could very well be their status quo. Service is ok. I didn't understand why they couldn't give me turkey instead of ham but maybe they just don't have turkey at Panera. The portion for a "ham egg and cheese bagel" is garbage! 1 slice of ham and 1 plastic egg. Terrible! Won't be coming here for breakfast ever again. This morning, I went with my disabled son and his aide and his psychologist to eat there. We're trying to get back to pre-Covid days with excursions in the community, especially if we can work on social skills like eating in public, signing, etc. A man came by. He had some developmental disabilities and/or mental health issues, and he was talking - but I wasn't sure to whom. He was distressed and talking about his case worker. The store staff person who had taken our order came up to him, was talking to him, and escorted him outside, where they made a call. It seemed the man was alone and waiting for the case worker, who wasn't there. So the store person made a call for him and then stayed outside chatting with him to be sure he was OK until the right person arrived in front of the store to pick him up. This could have been a very hard situation for the man, who was already upset and could have become lost or been involved in a negative incident with others who did not understand him. Instead, thanks to the store staff (including a manager who also went to help), he was treated with respect and helped to be safe and to connect with the case worker who was involved with his life. I usually don't review chains, but exceptions must be made every now and then. Especially when one loves Panera and there aren't any in NYC. I was so happy to see this place on my drive back to the city and it was WAY past my lunch time (it was early dinner time for some). I felt like it was meant to be. I was craving Panera for a few weeks now, after not having it for almost a year; I know crazy, right? So, my natural reaction was to quickly and safely exit the hwy in order to fulfill my repressed appetite for Panera. I ordered the bacon turkey bravo (love everything that goes on that sandwich) and I paired it with their chicken noodle soup. Then I topped off my meal with chai, bagels, and other pastry goodies. Service was also nice and quick, just the way I needed it to be. Oh Panera, how I missed EVERYTHING about you: your bagels, sandwiches, soups, beverages, as well as your familiar and cozy decor. I usually love this panera bread. The manager is super nice, and the food is always quick. Recently, my food has been coming out cold, and the service has been taking longer than usual. As you're standing on the long line with only two cashiers, you'd think the bored employees who seem to not be doing anything would step in and help, but that's not the case. About a week ago, I came to panera for dinner with a friend around 5 PM. It was obviously early dinner, and i was excited with no line. But they somehow ran out of mac and cheese. You don't use the red bucket to clean and then go back to making my food without changing gloves. I was very nice and smiling when I told the girl this only to get the "look". Well guess what? I wrote it up and sent it to your boss. Next time, I'm going to video it and place it on YouTube or even worse, send it in to the county department of health. This is my regular Panera that I always come to at the mall, I have no complaints. Clean, calm and collected. Service is great, I recently went on a no meat diet so this place is good. Came in for bagels. I just love Panera's cinnamon crunch bagels. The bagels were good like always. They were out of stock of regular cream cheese, so they offered if I wanted the low fat cream cheese; which was great but it turns out that they were out of stock on that too. So they offered me flavored cream cheese. I chose honey walnut which went really well with my bagel. The staff was friendly as always. Ugh. Came here when I was starving in the mall before I headed back home. I ordered a Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, without red peppers. What I received was bread with feta and cucumbers, that's it. I also asked for chips and got bread. Seemed like somebody just felt like making whatever they wanted to. Was pretty annoyed when I got home and realized all of this. Not recommended. Went there last week with a friend who needed gift cards. The Panera employee helping my friend was great. I decided to get a salad to go. The Panera employee that "helped" me acted as if I was interrupting her from something more important. She made no eye contact, had that "I'm a refugee from a Jerry Springer episode" attitude, there was no, "Thank you, come again!". She just took my hard earned money and didn't even say thank you. She is a terrible representative of the Panera brand. I'm sure the management knows who she is (Heavy set Hispanic female) She needs to be re-educated or better yet, fired. I went to Panera yesterday. Everything was fine until 5 minutes before closing. My children approached the counter to get cookies to go just to get the answer "sorry were closed" but in a very nasty way, not the way to treat a customer who spent almost $80 in food. It was at least 4 tables with customers eating and there they were, the cashiers counting the money in front of everybody. After I complained and ask for the manager, who was not there, they sold the cookies but didn't use the register (that was closed) and just added the money to the pile of bills they were counting next to the register. Panera owner(s) for this location: be careful with the employees here, the ones on Sunday evening, terrible customer service, no manager present and illegal ways to work. I'm never going back to that Panera! read more
