This is a great place! They have different options of ordering - The app, register, or automated ordering screens. They offer a bunch of different foods for everyone's liking as well as the drinks.(Fresh Iced teas and lemonades made as well as fountain drinks or canned beverages). They also have done renovations to make the experience much more pleasing. Can't wait to go again! I just had to add the fact that I have been here many times and at least half the time they are out of Chiabatta bread, what the hell, you bake it right there on site, how can they run out of the bread that they use for sandwiches all the time. Now I know Panera has been reviewed a bunch of times already but, I really love the food in this place. The Chiabatta bread (I probably spelled this wrong) is sooo good, the onion soup is delicious. I haven't had too many things from here but what I had, I liked. There is a big selection of breads, the bread you get as a side is really good, I think it is like a french bagette (can't spell it). But, who the hell puts bread as a side dish to a sandwich, is it me or is that kinda dumb, Oh well, I get chips instead. But the people that work there are pretty dumb, I asked for turkey, swiss and lettuce on Chiabatta bread...thats it, whats so hard about that, as she is typing it in the computer screen she asks again, what I want on it, I tell her and the the dumb ass at the register asks "Just turkey plain, no lettuce?", duh, you idiot, how many times to I have to say it, then two other employees had to help her.... she didn't understand English all that well. Now, I have nothing against people who don't speak or know the English language clearly, but come on, how are you going to serve me and get it right if you can't understand what I am saying?? Anyway, I still go there regularly, and enjoy it every time. I think the prices are reasonable, for my Turkey sandwich, it costs me $6.60 just for the sandwich and chips, not bad. read more

First off, I must say, that Panera was extremely accommodating during the whole hurricane Sandy fiasco. Providing extra power strips to people seeking to charge their mobile devices, and allowing many non pay customers a warm place to relax with FREE WiFi. I've been here in the past though, and speaking only to this location, I've always had such a wonderful dinning experience here. Their lemonade is awesome and their bread bowls are out of this world good! Prices are comparable overall to similar competitors like Cosi. Their biggest advantage is their in-house bakery that makes all the bagels, muffins, pastries, and bread on-site! Must tries are the Asiago Bagel, the Focaccia Bread, Apple Crunch Muffin, and their Pecan Braid Pastry! Frankly, I haven't had anything I didn't like at Panera, so even if you don't try my suggestions, I think you'll still be impressed. My only complaint is that it can get CRAZY busy/packed at this rather large location, during the lunch hours of the work week. read more

I have been going to this Panera location since I was a kid. The dining area is always well kept and the food is always delicious. There are usually long lines during lunch and dinner because it is the only Panera in the area, but the crew is great and efficient! This parking lot is a bit confusing to get into unless you come from very specific directions, and it is generally very crowded. Because the store is often crowded and slammed during lunch/dinner, they often run out of favorites like bread bowls and broccoli cheddar soup- total bummer! read more

I never had an issue until they no longer carried my favorite sandwich (chicken Caesar sandwich). I did an online inquiry and the representative told me how they can build it for me. So I asked for them to build it based off the specifications. The person taking my order seemed confused so he got the manager. The manager told me they no longer carry that sandwich. I said I know that but it's a special order. She said we don't do special orders. I said well according to the representative I contacted online, she said you can. She even told me how to order and how it gets rung up. The manager was very rude and refused to do it. I said what's the problem exactly because all of the same ingredients you use for the chicken Caesar salad is put on the sandwich minus the lettuce and I see you still have the chicken Caesar salad on the menu. She ignored me and took the next person. Meanwhile, the Panera Bread in Hauppauge has accommodated me 3 times doing this special order for me so I know they can do it, but this manager refused to or couldn't be bothered for whatever reason. I'll only go to the Hauppauge location for now on. Update...The General Manager (Greg) called me apologizing for the incident and is going to give both my sister and I a free sandwich since she was going to get one too that day. We'll go there this weekend and see what happens. Adding an additional star for now. Update....Went to the store this weekend to get my 2 free chicken Caesar sandwiches. It's expensive soups and salads. What more do you want? The bread IS good, and they donate it at the end of the day...so, you know what, I'll bump up a star for that from 3-4. Otherwise, it's just fine. I had the special/signature full steak salad which was surprisingly good, although I wish it was a lot larger :( I always come for the Broccoli cheddar soup because I have a soft spot for it. Not a super huge line, they have free wifi and the staff are efficient. A bit on the expensive side for ice tea, but its tastier than Starbucks and free refills! :D Don't get me wrong, I heart the salads at Trader Joe's across the street, but Panera has much better salads at comparable prices. read more

***Please bear in mind that this rating is for this specific Panera Bread location - and NOT the actual Panera Bread chain (which actually happens to be one of my favorite places to eat).*** Came to this location yesterday with my mom and we received an extra "surprise" with our fountain drink: a dead fly straight from the machine. Needless to say, we were disgusted and my mom really wanted a refund. We reported this incident to one of the employees who told a manager, and the manager just asked us what size our drink was and refunded us the money. There was nothing done about the actual fountain drink machine for that specific flavor (no "out of order" message for the one drink, no cleaning, etc.), so other "lucky" customers were able to use it afterwards. I didn't care about the money at all - I was more concerned about them taking care of the actual problem. Yes, I know that nasty things happen to public foods and drinks ALL the time, but please at least have the decency to show you care in the presence of your customers! I couldn't fully enjoy my order, because it made me wonder what other things this location seems to brush off as unimportant. read more

I have eaten at this location a few times but more than once they got my order wrong like today I ordered a sandwich with white country bread and they gave me rye bread and when I told them about it they just dissected my sandwich in front of me and handed me a very unpleasant looking Creation but I have to say it tasted as it should read more

Great chain. Always know what I'm going to get there and the taste is always consistent across the board no matter what part of the country Im in. Have you ever wanted to indulge in a delicious meal that you also did not want to feel guilty about? Well, me too. Tonight when I was in that mood I headed over to Panera Bread at 4097 Jericho Turnpike East Northport, NY 11731 (Phone Number: 631-858-0789) To me Panera Bread is an ideal restaurant. Their slogan is "Food as It Should Be" and to me that is the epitome of what you should be putting in your body. There promise is that there food is clean, raised responsibly, nutrient rich, and transparent. They are so dedicated to making their food good for you, they even have a "No No List" of all the artificial ingredients, sweeteners, etc. that they don't allow in their food. Upon arriving I was immediately helped at the cashier. No line at all and the restaurant was already pretty packed. This automatically showed how fast their service was and indeed it was. I ordered and it didn't even take 5 minutes for them to have my food waiting for me on the counter. I order a half mac and cheese, half Caesar salad and boy was it good. What was kind of annoying to me was the lack of seating. Mind you I went around dinnertime so it was pretty packed but if they had a few more tables that would've been nice. Despite the fact of taking a couple minutes to find a seat, once I was in my chair it was well worth it. My mac and cheese was oozing with cheesy sauce and bowl like shells that coincided perfectly. Every bite was a taste of comfort. The salad was so crisp; I could feel every piece of lettuce snap with each bite. The salad was paired with their delicious Caesar dressing and their crunchy croutons. I sipped on tart yet sweet lemonade that tasted as if I was freshly squeezed right in the back kitchen. As you can tell the food was amazing to me. The ambiance was comforting and after that visit I would highly recommend Panera Bread to anyone looking for a delicious and quick meal. read more

Well it is a fluke but my wife and I were here today abit after lunch food of course was good and service as far as staff was fine. Problem was my wife was getting ice and the plastic fell off from above and hit her well it was witnessed by staff and they told one of the managers who did come over but did not ask if she was ok, he made excuses for why it happened. Then asked how she was. Again no big deal she was not hurt but being In the service industry we fell it was not handled properly. Later into our meal the same manager did come over offer free things and to refund part of our meal. But we refused as it was it necessary! Although the quality of Panera's food is flat and the same across the board and probably deserves 2.5 stars, this location fails across all levels of customer service. I ordered grilled cheese sandwich with sliced pickles to go. Upon arriving home and biting into the sandwich, turns out they put bacon bits instead of pickles. This would probably be okay if I wasn't a vegetarian of 18 or so years and truly repulsed by meat. So there goes my Sunday lunch as I was unable to drive back given that I have a newborn baby at home. So I called this location only to get a meek apology with a promise that they will make me a new sandwich when I get in next time. The manager took my name so that they can deliver on this promise. At the same time I filed a complaint with panerabread.com who sent me a $10 and a $5 coupon recently in apology. The matter would be forgotten until this evening when I went in to get the replacement for my sandwich. First the counter girl rolls her eyes at me when I explained that I was there for a redo on that grilled cheese. Then she calls the manager who seemed way to eager but not at all sincere. So after going back and forth they decide that I can get a new sandwich and that the manager will make it for me to demonstrate the willingness to go one step further. The problem with this is that he just came from the back of the store carrying some pipes or something and I didn't notice him washing his hands at all before making that sandwich. Cherry on the top was her using a $10 coupon to pay for the sandwich and telling me in the face that I'm not paying for it. I walked out of the store and left the sandwich behind. read more

This may be just the worse place to eat on the whole Long Island. Ordered lobster roll which was just disgusting, cold , served on a old, soggy bun with no sauce and just a small piece of lettuce. They charged me a lot for it ( almost 20 bucks) and I couldn't even eat it, so 20 dollars wasted. Will never come back again. Customer service also really, really poor. I come to this place from time to time when I'm in a sandwitch type of mood and on the go. The service is great. Once you put your order in turnaround is quick. I enjoy there green tea. The cons .... A small bowl of soup is five dollars. A large green tea is almost three. You can order 2 sandwiches and drinks and easily spend twenty five dollars. Getting to the counter is the problem. Customer service is horrendous, and management is just as bad. They treat customers as if they are scum on the planet and when they mess up they don't do anything about it. I ordered take out 45 minutes prior to picking up and when I walked in my food wasn't even ready, not only that but they didn't start doing it at all. I knew when I was coming to pick up was around dinner time which is exactly why I made the call 45 minutes before they got busy. They gave everyone their food before even thinking about mine. I went to talk to the manager about this and he just looked at me dumbfounded with nothing to say but "sorry". I can say I will never be back there. I recommend everyone looking for another place because they are incredibly rude. I would rate this zero stars if I could. read more
