The food here is good but the drive thru takes 20+ minutes even when it's not busy, and the PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS!! These aholes think just because they're in El Segundo that everyone is rich! It was $19 for a damn Steak and cheese sandwich with chips and a drink! And that was for the HALF sandwich, not even the full size!! Never going here again, the management or owners need to be replaced. Other Panera locations are nowhere near this expensive! read more

Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough bread when I received it was not grilled but bread with melted cheese they said that their grill wasn't working, they should have said sorry we can't make a grilled cheese sandwich that place is expensive and someone needs to to talk to the staff in that location just terrible!! read more

I thought I'd try this Panera location since it was new and thought the food would be better. Nope! When I got my order I double checked in my car and noticed a sandwich and my daughters yogurt was missing so I went back to let them know. Once I got home I noticed they gave me 1 "cup" sized soup when I had ordered a bowl size, too bad I didn't notice and the manager or supervisor that checked the order when the sandwich was missing missed the wrong size of the cup for the soup as well. My mother in laws sandwich was made sloppily with only chicken on half of her sandwich. Their sandwiches are literally only a couple of bites I wouldn't say they are a true half sandwich. I just spoke with Chloe, the onsite manager at the Panera Bread new location in El Segundo (L.A. Chargers' new complex). I informed her that I was at her store on Sunday, May 5 to get assistance to cancel an exisiting sandwich order I had placed earlier. The onsite manager, said I would need to cancel the order through the online app since that was how the original order was placed. She did not offer to show me how, but walked away. I made several attempts to cancel the online order and did not see a 'cancel' button; so, I removed each item and updated the cart to show zero items. I went back on the portal and submitted another order for salads and soups. Today, May 6, my colleague picked up the order and unfortuanately, sandwiches were included in the order! I called Panera to tell them what happened. Chole asked me to return the sandwiches and Panera would issue me a refund. I asked what would Panera do with the sandwiches. Chole said, "Panera would throw them away." I told Chole I would write a review about the poor service I received regarding this issue. Panera should issue a refund and allow us to keep the sandwiches since this issue is their's and not mine. I also informed Chloe of the poor guest services I received while at store, yesterday. I told her when I was attempting to cancel the sandwich order, the onsite staff were congregated in conversation and no one helped me! I told Chloe that Panera will loose a lot of business because of the poor customer service. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! I got food poisoning from the you pick two. I had the Mac and and cheese and the chicken blt sandwich. The sandwich smelled very weird but I thought maybe it was because I haven't gotten it or maybe the herbs idk. I ate it and later that night I woke up feeling sick and have been since!!!! No wonder this place has such bad reviews! I ordered a tuna sandwich on wheat with lettuce only in the drive through. By the way, that's the only positive that it has a drive through. I also ordered chips. So I ordered tuna on wheat, lettuce only. That's exactly what I got...wheat bread with lettuce ONLY. NO TUNA!!! 12.00 for bread, lettuce and chips. It was for my neighbor who cares for her bed ridden husband. She went to another local Panera but they wouldn't give her a damn scoop of tuna because she didn't have a receipt. Really???? First off, I give the new Panera Bread restaurant a 5 star because they deserve and worked hard for it being a new establishment. I noted the negative reviews, but let's give them a break with the pains of opening a new business and trying to find employees who will work hard to learn possibly a new career and care. You know like the no tuna and only lettuce and bread review, this is a "no-duh" - it was a big mistake and I found out this was not a permanent employee, I asked. For those negative reviews writers, trying to hurt this business, could you have done a better job trying to find people who will work to your standards in today's environment? We are not affiliated with the manager or staff, we want this restaurant to survive so it will be here for years to come for all. Enough of this, now to my review. Three of us went to this location yesterday for lunch, The service was outstanding along with the delicious fresh food and cleanliness. Their soups are outstanding along with their sandwiches. We are so excited they are now open in our corner of the world. We look forward to enjoying many meals as we are just "next door" in Manhattan Beach. Panera Bread is so over the top and so much better than Corner Bakery, Marmalade Cafe, and the Panera Bread on Hawthorne Blvd. I wish this location thrives and you all will give them a try. Our office had Panera Bread El Segundo catered breakfast and boxed lunch. I was expecting the sandwhich to be like club sandwiches with varieties of meat. Instead sandwiches we had were thin bread and not much meat. On top most of the sandwiches are vegetarian. Extremely disappointed at the quality. Also outrageous price for boxed lunches. I wished I had a photo so everyone could see how ridiculous and how shameful they should be to treat their customers this way. You are straight up robbing your customers. If you don't believe go here and order a salad of any choice and you will see. (#2) Opened up my Chicken Chipotle Avocado Sandwich and Guess What..!! Same thing....!!! Barely NO CHICKEN in the chicken sandwich...!!! Building is new. Service is poor. All tables were filthy and sticky. Had to clean own table. Food tastes good. Pastry, scone, croisant prices are stupid insane. Even Whole Foods Market is HALF the cost for cookies, croissants, and scones. This all means that mgmt is out of touch. read more

Bakery items are fine but they always run out of the souffles. Avoid prepared grilled items - they put the grease back in greasy spoon. Too bad - was looking forward to the new location. The menu looks good but they need better quality control. read more
