My coworkers and I order from here often and to be honest it's never exactly what we ordered, but it's decent food at an affordable price. However, I think today was our last straw. We paid for large coffees only to receive the smallest coffees you could imagine. The delivery man spilled half of the coffees, and when we called the manager regarding this she said there was nothing she can do. Not only was she not willing to give us a refund for the coffee we paid for and did not receive, all she responded with was "ya I know your coffee got spilled, the delivery drivers aren't the best." I worked for the company for 2 years not too far back, and it's sad to see how miserable it has become. We deserve a refund and we definitely deserved some better customer service from a "manager". #giveusarefund read more

For how much this place charges for their meals, you would think they would taste better, and be put together better. I got the "pick two" deal and ordered the French onion soup with a bread bowl, and it not only tasted bad, but it did not arrive in a bread bowl. The soup tasted old and like it had been sitting all day or cooked in dirty put water (or maybe thats just the taste idk lol). I had also ordered a turkey and avocado sandwhich to go with the soup, and it was literally slapped together with some greens, barely any mayo, and avocado. I paid 16 dollars for a meal that tasted like 5 bucks. I could have just gone to subway. Save your money. read more

Nothing against this particular, but Panera overall. The other day, I ordered half sandwich/half salad. More than $14. Ridiculous. The employee told me that they have been getting complains because of recent price increases. I like Panera's food, but $14 for HALF sandwich/half salad is excessive. Not going back. read more

Well Panera strikes again. We just placed an order, which they got wrong yet again. I called and spoke with the manager, Nicole. When I explained what happened, I told her that I would eat the food since they just closed. Her response? "Okay is there anything else I can help you with?" "Nope," I said. And that was it. Definitely my go to Panera Bread in the valley. The service is great, location is better. Panera Bread is located right next to Drybar on Ventura and Petit (parking in the back). When ordering, I often get the You Pick Two. This option let's you pair half portions of salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, soups, or mac n cheese. My personal go to is the kale Caesar salad with chicken (the Parmesan crisps are pure addiction) paired with either the tomato soup - - best I've ever had - - or the Vermont white cheddar mac n cheese. *** you do have the option of getting soups in a bread bowl (recommend this as a meal on its own). Speaking of soups, I also HIGHLY recommend the broccoli and cheddar soup. It's unfortunate that they discontinued my favorite sandwich - - chipotle chicken sandwich - - yet they have brought back a similar dish with avocado. However, my favorite part of Panera Bread is knowing that they give out leftover breads/meals at the end of the day to those in need. Overall tip: great location to study/do homework, wifi is included at all locations. Also, recommend getting tasty cookies or desserts, made fresh on the daily. read more

I'm not a sandwich person, so for me to give this place 4 Stars, means it's good! LoL I always get their "pick 2" deal, the Greek salad and 1/2 artichoke chicken panini or the (can't remember the exact name) Thanskgiving sandwich (has turkey, cranberry sauce, spinich). The sandwich is perfectly crisp, the meat is (chicken/turkey) is moist and never dry. It's a sandwich made with care. The Greek salad is made with fresh letuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, kalamata olives, and one pepperchini. It's a very good balance of flavors. The dressing is Italian, which isn't exactly "Greek", but it works. The "pick 2" deal comes with baguette as your side dish, which I personally think is odd to have bread as a side dish if you're having a sandwich, so I make sure to ask for either an apple or a bag of chips. The "pick 2" + a 99cent add on pastries + a soda comes to a little over $13. Which is pretty pricy, hence my one less star. The staff is always stellar! The cashiers are always friendly, and so is the person delivering your food to your table. There is this one elderly lady that usually delivers the food, and picks up after you. I have tried many different Panera locations and I must say that although Panera isn't the best quality of food in my past experience they were at least edible. However, my experience with this particular location was far from that. I went with the Pick 2 option and one of my choices was a salad - you would think it is hard to mess up a simple salad but my salad was far from fresh. What should've been a green salad was more of a mixture of brown lettuce. I then moved on to my second choice which I thought perhaps the sandwich I ordered would be better but it tasted horrible. Not only were the ingredients far from fresh like the salad, but the presentation seemed like a child had slapped it all together. To sum it up, after waiting 20 minutes for my order I am not sure what effort really went into making a meal that contained nothing extraordinary. read more

The only reason I'm reviewing this place as 3 stars is because it just opened and I went right before closing. I enjoy the other panera's but now we have this location by my house so I thought I'd try it. I usually order the bacon turkey bravo, with no Gouda, no spread with the mac & cheese on the side, as the U PICK 2 combo deal. Well that night I ordered this and they were out of my absolute favorite mac and cheese. The staff were also new since they literally opened a few days prior. Instead I got the greek salad which is my favorite from panera. It was tasty as always. My sandwich was also good, but the guy I think put a bit much pepper then what it normally should be, but nothing that can't be forgiven. The other small minor problem that I'm sure was corrected that moment was the guy poured the water for my boyfriends tea from the coffee machine, luckily we noticed that his tea smelled funky and asked them to switch out the water, when the manager realized that the guy didn't know that you can't use the water from the coffee. So, issues were all corrected, despite the lack of mac and cheese, but I should have expected that being that it was right before closing. Despite it all everyone was friendly, manager nice, I was patient because I know and relate to working with the unhappy public. Also parking is in the pack. Enter through petit, because parking on the street is going to be busy during rush hours. I'll try Panera again in a few weeks, once they get things together and I shall update on the progress! read more

Passed by here the other day for a quick lunch with the mister. Parking lot was packed but we lucked out with the last empty spot during the lunch hour rush. This Panera has parking in the back and is spacious. Customer service is fantastic and they go out of their way to make sure you are accommodated. The cashier gave me tasters of the soups before I ordered and an extra side. They are very friendly and that doesn't go unnoticed. The only downside is that the Wi-fi is too slow. It stutters and you can barely use it for work. Other than that I would come back! read more

This review is for this particular Panera location, not the restaurant chain as a whole. This is probably my favorite Panera simply because the staff is really great. They take special care to get the order right and even make sure they're pronouncing my fairly uncommon name correctly, which is a nice added touch to their all around good service. The quality is pretty much the same as all other Panera's I've ever been to. I will note that 2 or 3 times when I've ordered a salad the lettuce was witty and pieces had begun to go bad. SO they should probably work on that. They have a great selection of pastries that are always fresh. The main reason for 4 stars is because the parking lot is a little nuts. It's shared with a bank that's busy and the spots are tight making it hard to get in and out. read more

This one just opened down the street from my job. I'm a kind of crazy about sandwiches and since I've had so many issues with Capriotti's we decided to try Panera out. The decor is cool and the employees are super friendly. The entrance off the street is a little awkward but not really a huge deal. For some reason it's set up so that the main entrance is in the BACK of the building, off the parking lot, even though being on that part of Ventura ensures a lot of foot traffic from neighboring businesses. Why do we have to walk from the front to the back just to walk back to the front again? Whatever. I personally felt like the prices were a little high. Not horribly priced considering that even Quizno's can be up there but when I got my World's-Smallest-Half-Sandwich and my joke of a half Caesar salad I was SURE that I got jipped. (Jipped? Is that how it's spelled?) The food was only OK. Nothing to scream about or even write about. TEN bucks later I'm still hungry. Sadly I probably won't be going back there. There's a Subway, Capriotti's, Corner Bakery and Ralphs in the area that I would MUCH rather go to - comparable prices and better sandwiches. read more

Just realized I had forgotten to review Panera, what kind of Yelper am I?!?! I am ecstatic to have them here, as I was so used to going when I lived back east. So, I come to this location about every 10-14 days and let me explain. Cinnamon Crunch Bagels people. If you have never had one, you must/have to/cannot die before trying this item. My man gets mad if I bring home blueberry or anything besides their Cinnamon Crunch, French Toast or Cinnamon Raisin Swirl bagels. These bagels are dessert in a bagel, but Cinnamon Crunch is by far the best. Now yes, I did this to myself, because before Panera showed up here, he had never had one. :) I got him hooked. Their cafe items for lunch are pretty good too though. I like their paninis (especially the steak and chicken) and my mother adores their chicken salads. I am only giving one star off here because of parking. Yes they have parking in the back which is not very well marked and I didn't realize until this week (they posted a sign on the door). You cannot park on the street between 3-7 or your car will be towed apparently. I think if parking was more well advertised it would help them out but so you other yelpers know, it's in the back. The service here has always been excellent, btw. Even though it's new, even though Justin Beiber and his gf come there (ick), the management and the staff work hard to make sure your order is top notch. Yes, they are brand new here and have had minor glitches here and there, BUT they seem to be getting better and better in terms of team work (Amy is the best!) and the food is great, fresh and fast. I have always loved Panera Bread. I grew up eating it in Kansas City and it's still a favorite of mine. The staff at this particular location are very friendly and courteous. I have tried the sandwiches, salads, soups and they're all excellent. I recommend the Thai chicken salad, tomato soup, turkey chili and the Napa almond chicken salad sandwich. Very last minute decision and wanted a quick bite. Turkey cranberry panini is definitely not worth the $9 the wait wasnt so bad , but everything is is just not very appetizing. It was basically a bolied turkey strips with cranberry sauce. The bread was the only decent thing, and get this. A bag of chips or bagged apples to come with meal. No thanks... My daughter got the steak sandwich which was half eaten cuz she said it was not good. sigh ...and she eates everthing. But can't scold a girl with great taste.
