Did an online pickup order. They had half the order wrong. We had duplicates of some items and none of others. Mistakes happen. We tried to call them to have it fixed and after 10 minutes of calling and calling none ever answered the phone and we kept getting a message that the voice mail box was full. read more

If I could give this place a negative 5 stars I would. I got a grilled cheese sandwich, easy sandwich to make. Well it only had one slice of cheese and it was not even grilled. The cheese in the middle wasn't melted, in places it was still cold. The bread wasn't even cooked. read more

Filthy facility and apathetic service. It was obvious the cashier was annoyed that she even had to take our order at 8:30 -30 minutes before closing. Every table in the place was dirty, despite the dining room being empty. Good thing we got our order to go. There were dirty dishes and napkins in the pickup window. That seems like it should be a health code violation having dirty dishes where you serve the food customers are going to eat. I will not go back to this location again. There is no reason soup and a sandwich should take 30 minutes to make, even if the place is busy. I could drive up the street to Five Guys, where they actually cook the meat, and the food would be done more quickly than at Panera. Since this Panera moved to its new location, the orders have been filled inaccurately and slowly. It's not rocket science, really. read more

I Timed my drive thru experience, 20 minutes from start to finish. 6 vehicles in total were in front of me to start. I even expressed my concern at the drive thru window with the cashier that I had been waiting already 10 minutes and now she stated when I ordered, By the way we are out of the Asiago bagel. I chose a different one. She stated, Oh we are out of Wheat Bagels and Flat Bread Bagels. I left there livid and I didn't have to. There was no sincere apology, just the Manager who played the cashier equally frustrated and embarrassed for the wait. Here's what I would suggest Panera do since they are completely ruining the drive experience: 1. If it takes longer than 5 minutes total - Free food. 2. The cashier should have a quarterback - the Manager who was there today doing cashier DID NOT. 3. Hire more people. 4. Make more bagels for your quotas. You give them away at the end of the day still so why are you not making enough to supply your customers? read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!!! I was shopping with my granddaughters one late afternoon, and the girls said that they were hungry, so we stopped at Panera. The girls ordered Soup in a bread bowl (which was very good), and I the Asiago Steak Sandwich. When we picked up the order and started eating, I did not taste the beef in my sandwich, and opened it up. I honestly, with no exaggeration, saw three thin, single layer, half dollar (coin) sized pieces of beef spread over the six inch sandwich. I asked for the manager, and was informed tat it was portioned out that way. I said that it would have been nice to have been told that ahead of time. It certainly does not look that way in the picture. I then told her that I had been a business owner and would have been embarrassed to serve that, when the picture was so different. Worst experience of my life. Usually Panera is a pretty decent place. It is obviously not a five star restaurant or anything, but the food and service are typically passable. However, I recently went through the drive through with the intent of ordering the turkey avocado blt sandwich which I had been craving ALL DAY. This is where the problem began. The drive through was so slow and failed to give me a receipt. At that point, I was hungry and annoyed so I just took my food and left. When I finally opened up the sandwich in the parking lot with all the excitement of a five year old on Christmas, I nearly burst into tears over the atrocity I was confronted with. There was absolutely no avocado to be seen on the sandwich. ALL I WANTED WAS THE SANDWICH WITH AVOCADO. IT IS NOT THAT HARD. As I previously said, I was not given a receipt so there was no way I could go back into the restaurant and demand my damn avocado. I was nearly in tears. Panera let me down hard. The service and quality control at this location is atrocious. I will most definitely not be returning any time soon. Dammit Panera, just give me my avocado. read more

I ordered 4 bread bowls five days in advance so that there would be no chance of messing it up. When I went to pick up my order, they didn't have what I ordered. when I asked why, the guy gave me some lame excuse about the web orders not alerting them till a few mins before the pick up time. I had to settle for the bread bowls that were already cut, when I specifically ordered them uncut. when they finally brought out the bread, they were small and deformed. when I asked about that, he gave me another lame excuse about a dough shortage in Detroit. none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing except for talking to each other. The customers that came in had to get their attention just to place an order. I would highly recommend NOT visiting this place. read more

3 times I submitted a rapid order online. I order the fresh fruit cup. They are never in the bag and I have to ask about them. "We are out of them, we will have to make some up, do you want to wait while I make them?" I say "ya! I paid $1.60 for each of them." If I didn't look in the bag, I would have no side at all, not to mention missing 2 that I paid extra for. Why don't they make them up and put them in the bag???? The straw that broke the camel's back for me was the last time I went, there was that and my order wasn't on the shelf. My name wasn't on the monitor. I stood in front of the counter for 3 minutes. No one acknowledged me and I had to go to the main counter to get help. They found my order. They said it was on a shelf. The receipt was all wrinkled up. Do you think it was in the trash? I wonder. I asked for no arugula on my salad, and you can guess what was in my salad. I am done with this location. The food is so good, but their service leaves a LOT to be desired. read more

I like their food, but getting to the bakery is a trick at times. Their parking lot is very poorly designed . All the cars waiting in line for the drive thru, block cars trying to drive to a parking spot. Ok . . Found a spot . . Walked in and the line was 30 deep . . No distinction between the bakery line and the food ordering line. I left and came back in a couple hours , . Traffic pattern more manageable, but at 2pm, bread was gone! Not impressed with this panera. They are all out of bagels by 10:00 and then dont make anymore. Poor management and would not recommend.

This is a hard one because the staff is great, the food is great for a chain, but 80% of the time, they always run out of the bagel I want. It doesn't matter what day or what time, my little Asiago bagel is a distant memory to my taste buds. Time to make the bagels! read more

I love Panera Bread, however this new location is horrible. I ordered the avacado Blt sandwich to go and it was so disgusting I had to throw it out. The bread was soggy, the avacado was not fresh, the chicken was wet and clammy. Will not be back and would not recommend. read more

Never stopped there, have many yrs ago eaten box lunches our company would bring in for us, they were delicious, I received a gift card for X-mas, decided to stop at SE Grand Rapids, MI store as they were nearby and have drive up service, ordered roasted turkey and avocado pannini and diet pepsi, had to remind them about drink, drove away from window, looked in bag and thought, "What is this?" bag was very light feeling, a bag of chips and some sort of sandwich? It was 2 slices of bread (bread being about 3 inches by 2 1/2 inches, more like an oblong rusk) toasted on both sides of each piece, one lettuce leaf, 2 slices of tomato, 5 small diced pieces of avocado, and some curled up unappetizing looking meat, it was not pressed as they asked me if I wanted it to be, all fell apart, nothing holding it together, I took one bite and choked on the dryness of it, It fit in the palm of my hand, I'm female, no large hands, supposed to be a half of a pannini, looked nothing like the menue picture, needless to say it is strewn across their parking lot, chips, napkins, bag and all, Never, Never, did I say Never will I bother to darken their door (business) again, I will return gift card and remaining balance to gift giver read more

I used to love this place and have spent thousands of dollars here for my corporate retreats, gift cards to patients and family. Unfortunately I have learned that this place does not care about maintaining good customer relations. I had placed an order here in February for delivery. En route to my home, the order spilled. One of my items was soup and I didn't realize the bottom of the bag was leaking until I had carried the bag across my brand new carpet to my kitchen. Upon realizing what had happened, I called the store. They never answered their phone (I had called 3 times at this point) so I was forced to make a personal trip into the store to explain what had happened. The manager was very apologetic but now after 6 months of waiting for a resolution, I was informed by their insurance company that they could find no fault with their packaging so they wouldn't help me out. Today I received an email stating that I should stop contacting their store because it's out of their hands. What a horrible way to treat a once loyal and extremely profitable (for them) relationship. I will never again shop here and will tell all of my friends what a poorly run business this is. read more
