I'm finally ready to give up on the Issaquah Panera. I order a Chicken Fuji salad for Rapid Pickup about every ten days. Recently, I've received a salad with no apples, a salad missing the avocado I paid for, a salad minus any dressing and tonight, a salad with Green Goddess dressing. This salad is supposed to come with apple dressing. The best part was when I opened up the box I discovered that the Fuji Apple Chicken salad had one small piece of apple, and NO CHICKEN. Yes, the chicken salad was missing the chicken. When I called to let them know the order was incorrect, the person answering the phone could have cared less. And, the order actually said it was checked by "Sam." Sam, I'd fire you if you were my employee. The absolute lack of customer service and their inability to put out correct orders is astounding. Which is too bad, because I did enjoy this salad when it was made correctly. You just shouldn't have to empty out the bag and go over everything you ordered every time you come in. I drove back, gave them the salad and got a refund from the manager on duty, "Nick" who could have cared less. I'll never go back. Staff is incredibly friendly. One time after I had an interview with a place near there it was rainy and I asked the manager do you sell hot chocolate and she kindly said yes and treated me with respect. One time I got a chicken frotenagra panini without mayonnaise and substitution of pesto sauce the cashier was really cheerful and nice (forgot her name) I wish I remembered the cashiers name because she deserves a raise. I never take time to post reviews, but I've had it with this Panera location. Others are great- no problems, but this one is downright awful. As others report, orders are ALWAYS screwed up and/or take forever. We live nearby and will NEVER go to this Panera again. Other Panera's, while traveling to Yakima, the Portland-area and Meridian Idaho are wonderful with every aspect of food and customer service. read more

They have the standard Panera food, but this place is dirty. The tables are dirty, the carpet is dirty, and the bathrooms...aren't cleaned as often as they should be. Yeah, it might make you wonder about the food. Order for takeout, if possible. If you're there at lunchtime, there are lots of people working or studying on their laptops. They don't have to leave after they finish their food, so you'll stand there looking at the floor covered with crumbs. If you can't eat outside, take it back to work. read more

I NEED to write this review. He went above and beyond just to fix a mistake that someone else responsible for. I ordered a soup and a kid's meal. Both of my orders missed a side. The person in charge of the store notified about the minor mistake on the phone. He promised to deliver the missing items and few more items to the hotel I stayed. ( It was too late for me and my 3 kids to walk back to the store and get the missing items.) I don't think I can come across another person that would take their job and their store that seriously. The staff here seriously need some training. Most of the girls have their hair down and unprofessional. You almost always see them on their personal phones and must assert yourself for them to notice your presence. I frequently have my order messed up or pay for items then they come and say their out and off a cheaper alternative. Sometimes I'll order a salad to dine in and they will put a tablespoon of dressing in a plastic cup with a lid on the side. This is not what I asked for and not what I am paying for, make the salad! They should be more rapid with updated their kiosks and site if they run out of things. It's frustrating to pay almost five dollars for a pastry and they give you a 99cent cookie in exchange.... this has happened on multiple occasions but was only handled properly once. By a male manager with glasses and short hair. He gave us four small cookies and was very apologetic. Too bad the rest of the staff can't learn from him! This Panera messed up every single one of my orders. I ordered the steak and arugula sandwich, and once receiving the sandwich found it was missing almost everything. I have gotten this sandwich before at other locations and it was great! Here they forgot the arugula, onions, condiments, and gave me the wrong side as well. I was also was given the wrong sides for my other orders. I thought maybe we had gotten the someone else's order by accident since nothing was correct, but our name was on the food so there was no mistake. Panera Bread - $10.55 for this and a small bag of chips?! - Sandwiches Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

I go to this Panera about once a month, always on Monday or Wednesday and usually around 10:30 a.m. If I get in by 10:15, I can have breakfast; if I get there a little later... lunch it is. I usually get the pick 2 and, of course, what I gravitate to is always the premium stuff so 1/2 a sandwich and 1/2 a salad can easily hit $9 with tax. Everything is always fresh but I agree with many of the reviewers before me that the food isn't particularly inspired or inspiring. I am very fond of the Fuji Apple Chicken salad and I have a friend who counts the days each year until the strawberry poppy chicken salad comes back around. I've never had soup in the restaurant so can't review those. The bagels aren't bad but they're not New York or New Jersey bagels -- there's no confusion on that for me! Having said that, I've been known to buy the cinnamon crunch ones with a little container of the low fat berry cream cheese and call it dessert... :) I find that everything from salads to sandwiches to pastries are expensive. It's hard to justify more than $10 for lunch with a drink when I could make myself a nice lunch at home every day for a week using that same amount of money. Yet I do go back so apparently it's not enough of a deterrent yet... Their loyalty program is free to sign up for and does reward occasionally with a freebie -- sometimes it's a pastry, other times it might be a coffee. You can pretty much count on receiving an email around your birthday letting you know you've got a little food gift waiting even if you've not frequented the chain much during the rest of the year! I appreciate that instead of the standard buzzer you normally get when you order, I've gotten a little GPS unit instead since I signed up for the loyalty program. It's nice because they will actually bring the food to whatever table I'm sitting at -- coffee still has to be picked up yourself but it IS nice to have the food runner come with my lunch! This particular store is in the same shopping center as Target and parking is woefully lacking, getting worse as you get closer to lunch time. During the summer, it is common for me to have to park in front of the Target and walk across the parking lot because it's just easier and I don't have to waste time cruising the parking lot. They have outdoor tables that you can choose during good weather. I haven't ever sat outside but the parking lot is busy and there are cobblestone-y pavement sections nearby -- I would imagine it might be fairly noisy. Panera is a decent place to get a quick and healthy salad plus other "stuff" but don't be surprised when it sets you back a little more than you would have expected or hoped for! read more

Very poor customer service, ordered multiple times bc it's so close to my work but me and my co workers have all had unpleasant experiences with this Panera. The so called GM is no help stands and yells orders and can't answer a simple question cashiers are not well trained and takes forever, orders constantly being wrong and I got charged 4 TIMES for the same online order that told me it couldn't be processed at that time. I'm sorry, but even if you have a quick pay station you should have someone manning a register. I wanted to use cash, so I waited for the person standing there to do their job. She just looked at me. After FIVE MINUTES of waiting and her just looking at me puzzled as to why I'm waiting for my order to be taken, I had to use a card. Then, and this is the good part, I get to the pickup area. A worker who had just got off her shift, who I presume is a manager or someone with experience at this location, waits for their food order. Then, looking at the order queue, but proclaims one order is at almost 25 mins wait time. They then proceeded to make jokes about it while the person who was behind the counter, Charlie, began essentially bragging and laughing at how many orders were behind. I literally said out loud "okay, it's not funny that you are making us all wait." The worker that was off shift, and now sucking down a coffee, just is like yeah what's your name and tries to scold me. First of all, you didn't even put your order in. You came out from behind the food station and began waiting for food. I was already there and you cut it the order. Second, I am a customer I am your business's reputation and you are making a horrible impression. Then when I finally got my food, it had tomatoes when I said no tomatoes. They threw my fruit cup into the bag so it exploded and juice was everywhere. I couldn't eat it because it was soaked in fruit juice. Thank god I didn't bother them by asking for a pastry. I love Panera but have visited mainly the Bellevue location. We just moved to Issaquah and didn't think twice about visiting Panera for a yummy sandwich. Boy were we wrong. This was the first and last time I will be visiting this location. My husband and I ordered two different sandwiches that looked like they were thrown together for a dog. Very bland and tasteless. Why so many negative reviews? If you have to eat out but you like to eat healthy NORMAL sized portions of food this is the place to be. The food is great. Soups are full of flavor, fresh breads are amazing, salads are good. If you want to eat poorly they do cater some things for that aswell. They have a cappucino that 650 calories. But the whole point of going here is to eat the soup. So people shouldnt post a bad review about this place to say its unhealthy because they go here and eat the sandwich instead of the soup and also have a dessert and coffee. No other help even though several others stood by. Seemed they were not able to use the register but they said to use the computer and pay with a card. Horrible experience at a chain that is usually regarded as a very good one in the business. The issue? Spoiled pesto in a ravioli pasta that got served to my 4 year old nephew -- making him vomit three times in the next hour and feel very poorly for the next few hours. When we went in to complain to the manager of the outlet, all we got was a sorry! It took another strong phone call from my sister to make them refund the entire bill. Not good enough -- we are going to avoid this restaurant like the plague and suggest the locals do so too. There is no dearth of good places to eat in Issaquah / Sammamish, so to hell with Panera Issaquah.
