I went with my teenager to Panera. When I go there I didn't expect much... it's Panera. The people working there, no problem. Polite, nice! I was annoyed with the end price... but ok, I could have chosen not to eat or to get coffee. But when I saw the Mac and Cheese my teenager got I was surprised. It was supposed to be a large portion... it was a bowl size portion just slopped on a white plate. And the slop looked like multiple times microwaved. Noodles falling apart due being over cooked to dough and brittles of cheese sauce. No creamy sauce. Seriously? Honestly, what's going on with the food industry? So sad! read more

For a spot I've been visiting since they first opened, the quality dip has been gradual but noticeable year over year. Today was my worst experience yet and probably the last straw for me. The "rapid pick-up" is no longer rapid since the pickup shelf is behind the register. The cashier was swamped with people ordering and I had to flag someone to get my bag that was staring at me from across the counter. The food quality has gone from good, to mediocre, to downright bad now. I got the You Pick 2 with a chicken fiesta sandwich and a corn chowder cup. The corn chowder itself was fine (a bit bland) but the tortilla chip strips on the side were extremely stale and disgusting. I didn't realize this until I already mixed them into the soup, thinking the whole thing. My chicken fiesta sandwich was FINE but the bread was extremely tough (likely due to new low-quality prep standards for their bread that has been well documented). Worst of all, there was barely any chicken in the sandwich, far less than the overflowing sandwich in the online images when doing a pickup order. Super disappointed and unsatisfied. Came here at 10am on a weekday morning and it wasn't busy at all. I enquired about ordering lunch even though it was early and I was informed I could order salads and sandwiches and that soups would be available starting at 10:30am. Jovan (sorry if I am spelling it wrong!) was super helpful and friendly and showed me their new salad/sandwich menu. I tried the bacon basil BLT and the strawberry salad. In all the years I've been to Panera, I think this was only my second salad, and it was fantastic! It could have used a bit more of their dressing, but everything tasted great. The bacon basil BLT was on a soft tomato bread which had such a nice taste and soft texture. I did find it off that there were two slices of bread on the bottom of my sandwich (with only mayo in between) but it tastes really good anyway! Earlier this week I ordered some soup to go. Typically of if I I'm not dining in with a waiter I don't tip which was this situation. What I have been noticing is that if I don't tip the portions are less or in the soups case I would mainly receive broth. very little broccoli or very little meat. This country should be asha of itself where the workers feel that they should entitled to tip for service that's not tip worthy. The staff here is really nice. They were pretty busy when we got here, after moving my son into his dorm on campus. We stopped in with him for a bite to eat before heading back home. I saw that they had new mac & cheese dishes on the menu and decided to order a You Pick Two with a BBQ chicken mac and cheese in a bread bowl and a chicken salad. The mac was OK but I didn't care too much for the saucy chicken added to it. It was too sweet for my preference but the mac itself was good. My salad was good and I also loaded up on a few of the kitchen sink cookies which are bomb! This location is very clean. The bathroom was clean and the tables looked well-maintained, like they actually go around and clean them after diners have left. I always like Panera bread the food is great. This is a nice location in an area that frequently in shopping and hanging around. The day that I was here it was not crowded and it was a cold snowy day. I stopped him for some soup and salad. Everything was great. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that my soup was barely warm. Usually the soups are very hot here and that was what I wanted on such a cold day. I was in a hurry so I didn't bother to say anything, but they should have the soups hot. I wasn't early or anything, it was about 12:30 or 1 in the afternoon, so lunchtime. I've come here several times, but for whatever reason have neglected to write a review, so here goes. I really enjoy this location in the early mornings because it's generally not crowded, and I get my food fresh. I like being able to take my time and order from a kiosk, where I can peruse the options at my leisure, and customize my food the way I like it. The food I've gotten here has always been delicious, including all the varieties of breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The times I've been here for lunch have been great as well....what keeps me coming back is the delicious tomato soup and the bread that they have. The coffee is also very good. I like the food here. I feel like it's good wholesome food that I'm getting. I see some negative reviews regarding the staff, but I can say that my interaction with the staff at this location has been minimal. I do try to talk to the folks who actual make my food and provide it to me with my buzzer number, but they always seemed focused on what they are doing back in the kitchen and aren't really looking for interaction, unless you need something or there's an issue with the order. Aside from this, I really enjoy coming here, relaxing, and getting a great meal. read more

700 calories for a pecan nut coffee roll? What the hell!! They list all of the calories for every bakery item, in a way I'm glad. Panera bread is always a little bit expensive especially the sandwiches but they do offer a lot of choices. If you're trying to save money I think your best bet is a bagel and drink, or if you're hungrier the you pick 2 might be more for you. They offer a lot of healthy options and a very cool kiosk ordering system if you wanna get picky. Everything I got tasted good but it's a little hard for me to justify 12 dollars for half a sandwich an apple and a half salad. read more

Honestly the best fast food around. Healthy options make the higher price tag worth it. I'm a big fan of the grain bowls and the salads. The soups are not as healthy but they do warm a belly. The food is always great. It's nice to have a healthy option when you don't feel like cooking. I must say though, we were slightly disappointed with our order to go. We were provided with only enough salad dressing to dampen two leaves. I thought that it could have been a mistake, but the side order of chipotle Mayo was also packaged with the same meager amount. I know how cliche... I'm reviewing Panera. Well as usual I got my bowl of Broccoli and Cheese soup with a piece of Whole Wheat Bread and a Green Tea to go this past Friday. It's always solidly good. I love the fact that everyone is so friendly (even on such a nasty day). This Panera has a great location next to the Smith Haven Mall. I went with a few of my friends after we had gone shopping and I ordered from the Youpick2 menu. I got the mac n cheese and the Turkey Avocado BLT without the bacon. The mac n cheese was good as usual, the sandwich was extremely fresh and had the perfect balance ingredients. The avocado was sliced to perfection. The staff was very nice and even talked to us while we waited for our food. Overall, one of my favorite Paneras, I go here often. read more

This place is really clean. The menu is super busy but has a lot of options. I had the clam chowder and Mac and cheese. It was a pick two. I find it expensive for the serving size and quality. I have to say I've been eating here a little more often than my wallet would like since they have started delivering . I love that you can order online either for faster pickup or for delivery. The green goddess salad is my favorite, and I can quickly adjust the ingredients (extra pickled onion) on the website. They also email me coupons fairly regularly. If you are expecting wonderful food, go to a restaurant, not a place that has the word "bakery" in its full name. That said, their breads are good - not great; avoid the bagels unless you've just landed from another planet and don't know better. Sandwiches are hit-and-miss, but the side chips are fine. Soups are wildly inconsistent from one visit to another. Coffee is wonderful, iced coffee sometimes great/sometimes dilute. Chicken in salads and soba bowls does not come from actual birds (or at least it doesn't taste like it). Pastries not always fresh, but they tend to look real pretty. My rating is based on my wanting good coffee that is not horribly overpriced when out and about, not fancy food. read more

This is a chain restaurant, so the food is the same as all the other locations. They have the usual soup and hot sandwiches, and the bakery section has bread, bagels, and pastries to take home. I wanted to comment on this location. I really like Panera, so I go here often and I agree with the other reviewer that they have had their problems with hygene in the past. Perhaps I have given them too many chances with the problems I've had in the past, but the up side is that I can say that they have greatly improved. I don't know what the big fuss is over panera bread. I've eaten here twice so far and it's expensive for what you get. Granted the breads they bake are really good to take home. Took the family there and we are the following: panini with fresh mozz, kids had a grilled cheese and a pasta with butter, wife had 1/2 Sammy with a cup of soup, plus 2 drinks. $40! I have to admit I had a bit of sticker shock and had to look at the receipt to see if we were charged the correct amount. Service was decent meaning the food came out fairly quickly, food was pretty good and the place was very clean and everyone was friendly. After we ate I picked out a few breads to take home and they were delicious. I'd go back for the bread but I would be so quick to return to eat there. Maybe it's me but I wasn't impressed. read more
