New menu items: Bacon basil BLT and strawberry chicken salad
    K L.

Came here at 10am on a weekday morning and it wasn't busy at all. I enquired about ordering lunch even though it was early and I was informed I could order salads and sandwiches and that soups would be available starting at 10:30am. Jovan (sorry if I am spelling it wrong!) was super helpful and friendly and showed me their new salad/sandwich menu. I tried the bacon basil BLT and the strawberry salad. In all the years I've been to Panera, I think this was only my second salad, and it was fantastic! It could have used a bit more of their dressing, but everything tasted great. The bacon basil BLT was on a soft tomato bread which had such a nice taste and soft texture. I did find it off that there were two slices of bread on the bottom of my sandwich (with only mayo in between) but it tastes really good anyway! Clean establishment, good parking, and accurate ordering process!

I successfully got my food but the bad is that it was crowd but overall, the service was amazing.

The staff here is really nice. They were pretty busy when we got here, after moving my son into his dorm on campus. We stopped in with him for a bite to eat before heading back home. I saw that they had new mac & cheese dishes on the menu and decided to order a You Pick Two with a BBQ chicken mac and cheese in a bread bowl and a chicken salad. The mac was OK but I didn't care too much for the saucy chicken added to it. It was too sweet for my preference but the mac itself was good. My salad was good and I also loaded up on a few of the kitchen sink cookies which are bomb! This location is very clean. The bathroom was clean and the tables looked well-maintained, like they actually go around and clean them after diners have left. Most of the Panera Bread locations that I've visited usually still have the remnants of previous customer's meal strewn across the table.

I always like Panera bread the food is great. This is a nice location in an area that frequently in shopping and hanging around. The day that I was here it was not crowded and it was a cold snowy day. I stopped him for some soup and salad. Everything was great. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that my soup was barely warm. Usually the soups are very hot here and that was what I wanted on such a cold day. I was in a hurry so I didn't bother to say anything, but they should have the soups hot. I wasn't early or anything, it was about 12:30 or 1 in the afternoon, so lunchtime. But, this is a clean and friendly location.

I enjoy visiting this location with my friends and it is conveniently located next to the mall. The restaurant is fairly clean and the staff are generally nice. I normally get the turkey avocado BLT with either a chicken noodle soup or green goddess salad. I really like Avocados and Panera has a wide selection of avocado rich foods! There are no gender neutral bathrooms thank you for asking Yelp. The place is spacious with a central fire place heated during the winter season They are also installing self ordering robots so stay tuned!

I've come here several times, but for whatever reason have neglected to write a review, so here goes. I really enjoy this location in the early mornings because it's generally not crowded, and I get my food fresh. I like being able to take my time and order from a kiosk, where I can peruse the options at my leisure, and customize my food the way I like it. The food I've gotten here has always been delicious, including all the varieties of breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The times I've been here for lunch have been great as well....what keeps me coming back is the delicious tomato soup and the bread that they have. The coffee is also very good. I like the food here. I feel like it's good wholesome food that I'm getting. I see some negative reviews regarding the staff, but I can say that my interaction with the staff at this location has been minimal. I do try to talk to the folks who actual make my food and provide it to me with my buzzer number, but they always seemed focused on what they are doing back in the kitchen and aren't really looking for interaction, unless you need something or there's an issue with the order. Aside from this, I really enjoy coming here, relaxing, and getting a great meal.

Eat Unique Indeed…read more We were famished for something brunchy this past Sunday, and were looking at different places to go to. Went to the Watermark, parking lot was inaccessible, seems people don't know how to park over there. Even the street spaces were full. We headed further west, Flying Pig was closed down, we had been to Crazy Beans, then a quick Google search pulled up a spot we'd never heard of before. Pulled up to a strip mall where BlackSheep was located, nice big parking lot as expected. Walked in, and we were the first ones there. The place smelled fantastic. We sat ourselves and perused the menu. The server came by and enumerated the specials, but I was fixated on Braise your Belly. We also got me-mah's mac and cheese, and started off with the Roasted Garlic Northern Bean Dip and the Minestrone soup. The Bean Dip starter was fantastic. All the little things you need for a perfect bite. A scoop of bean dip on a toasted pita wedge, stick a couple of kalamata olives on the bean dip mortar (3 olives were too much), add pickled red onion and fire-roasted peppers, then top with crumbled feta. Amazing bite. I had a taste of the Minestrone, and it was excellent. Flavors were all there without being overdone. The pasta was nice and cooked just right. The mac and cheese was perfect. I couldn't put my finger on the cheeses used, but it all came together nicely. You didn't just get a mouthful of one cheese flavor. It was creamy, balanced, and the crispy onions on top made it really nice. and the stunner. I am a big fan of pork belly, and this really piqued my interest. Served with lemongrass grits and pickled veg with a soy miso glaze. The pickled veg was tossed in a bed of leafy greens, and I saw some seaweed salad in there as well. A little bite of the grits topped with the salad was amazing. I've never had that combo before. A little tart, a little salty, nice umami, I could have eaten a bowl of just that. However, when the pork belly came into play, everything changed. The crisped, lightly charred crust on the fatty slices of nirvana by themselves were perfect. Cut a piece of it and lay it on the grits-salad bite, and you can feel your eyes roll backwards. I wanted to, and almost ate it all, but I left a slice for my girlfriend and topped off her little bit of mac and cheese that she wanted to take home. Half an hour in, and the place pretty much packed out for a bit while they were doing a healthy amount of takeout/pickup orders. The place is pretty simple: interesting Black Sheep art, with mostly little tables, plasticware, and a drinks cooler. The food can certainly be right at home in a fancier and upscale setting, but doesn't need it. They had one server, and she was delightful and attentive to everyone. The chef came around and asked how everything was, which I find is always a nice touch. Definitely coming back.

***SO MUCH BETTER THAN DELI SANDWICHES***…read more SEXY SALAD After many visits, John the owner of The Sandwich Hut - and also The Sexy Salad a few miles away - explained why he created this new venture. In his way of thinking, after running The Sexy Salad for over a decade, he needed a change - for example, something new and invigorating to clear his mind. But at the same time, I think, something not too complicated and laborious. MAKE IT SIMPLE As such, john chose a simple minimalist design for the store, with a few select offerings. And decorated the interior and exterior in a fast quirky kind of way. And finally, he limited operations to only four hours a day. HOPING FOR THE BEST Seeing all this for the first time, and without knowing the back-story, I assumed this enterprise was the work of a first time entrepreneur. This is someone without the experience to properly create a new restaurant that would succeed, I thought. And even worse, the place seemed to always be dead whenever I drove by. Feeling kind of sorry for the owner, a few of us paid a visit one day, trying to help out with some business. And so hoping for the best, we walked in, and were instantly greeted by John. He started out by making recommendations, from a kind of makeshift menu board next to the counter, that resembled a scrapbook. In addition, there were more menu items posted on the wall behind the counter, and then some on the wall next to the entrance. Also, there was a pretty small refrigerated display with some drinks, and snacks & chips placed here and there. And probably owing to a hasty move-in, there were multiple refrigerated standup cases just sitting empty on the walls behind the counter. And so, the initial impression most would get from the appearance of this restaurant, would be one of a rushed or incomplete realization of a business concept. WHAT A SURPRISE! On our first visit, I chose the Fried Eggplant Panini, only to be informed that it was sold out - at 1:00 pm. Oy vey, not a good sign I thought. So my second pick was the Pesto Grilled Chicken. In addition, a Cuban Sandwich was ordered, and some drinks from the somewhat limited choices available in the display case. After a bit of a long wait, we received our order, and were informed we could choose a free bag of chips from the assortment next to the menu board, to accompany our sandwiches. A nice little offering, that's never really given elsewhere. And so finally, we walked out with a bag of sandwiches and chips - when suddenly I exclaimed " Holy Shit Something Smells Really Good! " And as it happens, it was my Pesto Grilled Chicken sandwich creating that wonderful aroma. And after removing my sandwich from the container, I discovered I had received something totally unexpected. A sandwich with perfectly grilled chicken, melted mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and that fragrant pesto sauce on a crispy toasted ciabatta. So I hurriedly snapped my Yelp pictures, and took a bite. Sure enough, it was absolutely delicious, and nothing like what I expected from my initial impressions of the store. And although my sandwich was a bit on the smaller size, the Cuban Sandwich was fairly large and also smelled fantastic. So we decided to do the " Old Switcheroo " and share half of each sandwich. Doing this, I discovered the Cuban sandwich was equipped with ham, turkey, melted swiss, and pickles on a buttered grilled & pressed hero. And while it was definitely not as good as the Cuban sandwich I order from La Cubanita Deli, (review coming soon), it was still surprisingly good. ANOTHER VISIT AND MORE IMPRESSIVE RESULTS After discussing our initial visit, to make sure it wasn't an outlier, we decided the Sandwich Hut required another shot. So on this occasion, the Fried Eggplant Panini was available, and we also chose the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. And sure enough, my eggplant panini was fantastic, with melted mozzarella, roasted peppers, and again, that fragrant pesto spread - and the short rib was a hit also. OTHER ITEMS AS WELL After our first two visits, we returned a few more times, and ordered more sandwiches, and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, that was large and tasty. And remember, John is no stranger to salads, so they also offer an Earth Angel Salad, which has cranberries, nuts, granola, and cheese. In addition, there are burgers, hot dogs, wings, egg sandwiches, and smoothies listed on the various menus. HOLE-IN-THE-WALL? Well, the store kind of seems hastily thrown together. There's only one tiny table with two chairs to eat-in. And not a really large selection of drinks at all to choose from, by today's standards. And then there's the scattered menus everywhere you look. So, does one get a hole-in-the-wall vibe from the Sandwich Hut? Maybe. But I'll tell you what, if I want a delicious artisanal sandwich in Hauppauge, I can't think of any other place I would rather order from.
