Been awhile since I'd been to a Panera. My local location had staffing issues and the menu was uninteresting. I apologize, but I loathe what passes for chicken at most chains. Trying to change and adapt chicken has basically ruined any flavor it had. I'm not alone in that regard. The new menu is awesome. Nice variety with multiple meat and flavor combinations. Great list of salads, soups, sandwiches, drinks, and more. I tried the two for two as did my wife. I got the Italiano and Ranch Cobb salad.. she got Tomato Basil soup and Green Goddess chicken salad. All was wonderful. I highly recommend this location.

$9 for a salad. A bowl not nearly full and no dressing. This has continued to be an issue at this location. Will not be coming here anymore. You can get a bigger premade salad at the grocery store for $4 and not be asked for a tip on the way out.

    This was what I ordered.

I ordered one of the roasted sandwiches that had the meat and all the good stuff oozing out of the sandwich, what I got was as if everything was in one jar and they lightly spread it on the inside of the sandwich. It was literally all bread that I started to eat. Never again Panera!!!!

Probably employee cars for management wanting to know what's going on.

And the fries are really good and generous My Buffalo Ranch salad was massive with lots of cheese, cherry tomatoes and something called Fresno peppers which provided sweet heat. The young man who waited on us was knowledgeable and gave me several excellent suggestions. All in all a great experience. We will be back soon!

The food is both good and plentiful. I ordered the 4-piece tender meal, and wife got the 3-piece tenders. We split a large order of hand-cut fries, which was well worth it. The dining and seating areas were noticeably clean. Additionally, the restaurant is easy to get to with plenty of hassle-free parking. Cons: The total bill came out to $30 for 7 tenders, two drinks, and a large fry, which feels a little on the higher side. Also, the cashier was somewhat hard to understand (though that could just be due to low mumbling). Thumbs up / Thumbs down: Thumbs up -- I would absolutely go back and recommend it to others.

My final work travel stop this week wrapped up with a mighty fine meal at Prohibition Rooftop Bar &…read moreGrill in Madison, Alabama. The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. I'll gladly return--though next time I may need a little more room in the stomach.
