I just left this Panera and logged into my account just to say that they have the nicest Manager I have ever seen/met. At least I think he was the Manager (light blue button up shirt unlike all the other employees, about 5'10). I wish I had paid attention to his name tag! This guy's seriously worth his weight in gold and needs a promotion! I've never felt so welcome even at a 5 star restaurant!! He had such great manners, a contagous smile (seriously I am happier after meeting this guy) and you could tell he was just happy and loved his job. read more

Absolutely terrible. Three times I ordered for rapid pickup and all three times my order was (inedibly) wrong. Supposedly orders are QA checked, that's either inaccurate or the people don't actually compare the order to the actual food. Tried the Turkey Artichoke Panini for the first time today. The description sounded very good but it was still hard for me to order this because I love the Sierra Turkey sandwich especially the cheese bread. As usual the restaurant was crowded but I still received my sandwich and chips in under 5 minutes. The chips were wrong because I asked for baked but received the Panera brand non baked. The sandwich was good but I still prefer the Sierra Turkey. There was a generous amount of artichoke spread but the sandwich was lacking in turkey. The generous amount of artichoke spread made the sandwich a bit messy and made the bottom of the bread soggy. The only complaint I have about Panera is that they do not allow you or complain about making ANY modification to their panini sandwiches, this includes leaving off mayo, dressing, or vegetable. Manager is super helpful! I am pregnant and cannot eat deli meats, and I was unsure if the turkey on one the sandwiches was deli slices or carved and the cashier said it was carved, when I got the sandwich it was deli meat. I brought it upfront and the manager not only suggested I get it with the carved turkey, but he told the food prep station to finish my order before anyone elses. Located in Westgate shopping center, this is a nice clean place to get lunch or coffee. They have a decent breakfast selection, too. The food is consistently good. My only criticism is I wish they had a bigger dinner and pasta selection. The pasta dishes I have had here are small portions and really nothing special. As far as Panera goes, it's hard to find a restaurant that is spectacular or abominable, so it's an easy five stars usually. I look forward to fully-stocked cases, clean and available tables, and quick and friendly customer service. This Panera had all of those things. We were greeted as soon as we stepped in and our food was ready quickly. The Panera's in my area have really gone downhill. I went for lunch one Saturday at the Manassas location. It wasn't that busy but after 30 minutes we hadn't received our food, so my husband went and asked when our food would be ready. The manager said she was working on our order. We waited another 10 minutes and then I went to check with the manager. She said she'd forgotten to make our order! Really??! I told her I wanted my money refunded, which she did, but only for the entrees, not the drinks or the tip. It would have bought a little goodwill if she had refunded the full amount of my receipt. It's like pouring salt in the wound to keep the tip! read more

I absolutely love Panera Bread. Their soups are so delicious. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very nice. I enjoy being able to just come in eat and relax while on my laptop utilizing the wifi. I have been known to stay there for a few hours and the staff is so accomodating never trying to rush me out or anything like that. read more

I have visited this panera many times and I can honestly say that of my many visits, there have been more bad than good ones. Most often then not, the staff aren't happy, they act like its an inconvenience for you to be there or order food... God forbid you want to customize your item... they look at you with this expression of disgust.. and it's happened at least 5 times.. When i tried to speak to a manager I was told to wait and I knew who the manager was by her nametag.. yet she kept running around doing other things and not helping me. I would have been just fine if she had addressed me and asked me to wait... but that did not happen. instead i waited.. and waited.. and eventually I just left. I do love panera, their menu is awesome! But it looks like ill have to go to another location and get better customer service. read more

I came in to have an early dinner with my pal and it was not the experience we expected. We were hopefully that it would get better, but the odds were not with us. Our bread was hard as a rock. The broccoli cheddar was watery, the steak in my panini was sour, they didn't have bread bowls, and gave us a "soft" top brioché bun. I'm scared of greens, I asked the cashier to make sure there was no vegetables in the sandwich and it was loaded. I wanted take a second chance and order another panini, katniss did not come through on us. VEGETABLES LOADED! I paid for both, because I didn't want to complain. Cut up some cardboard and sad ome mayo and call it a panini that would have been more pleasant. Not to mention the manager was yelling at his employees in front of all the guest. He was not professional at all and could easily be replaced. I could barely here the cashier almost like we were playing the whisper challenge. I could hear other guest in the restaurant saying "GROSS." I manage a restaurant as well, this was just atrocious. Hopefully someone can help this place out. The staff at this location were rude and unkind. If you can understand spanish you could hear them talking with fowl and vulgar words. If you say anything to them about it they don't apologize but rather act like you are intruding in their conversation. It made the environment unpleasant. They treated me with sarcasm after that and were extremely rude. I would not trust them with my food and will never go there again. This one employee who was about 27 male was just so disrespectful. I do not recommend going there and those workers should be either taught what customer service is or be fired. Their manger obviously isn't do their job keeping them in check. read more

I never write reviews, but I had to make an exception this time. I had lunch at Panera today, the Sudley Road location. My order was filled quickly. The food was very good. I had a soup and salad combo. The salad was fresh and the soup was very tasty. I like Panera Bread. It is a healthy option compared to fast food, burger options. I am writing this in hopes that the owner reviews this site and will read this and commend his outstanding manager. After eating, I walked out to my car to drive home. I realized I had lost my car keys somewhere, most likely in the restaurant. I frantically looked throughout the restaurant and could not find them anywhere. I was very worried because I was suppose to be home within a short period to meet my son's school bus. My son has autism and I was so worried that he would be dropped off at home alone. This outstanding manager drove me to my son's school so I could make appropriate arrangements for my child - going home with another student. He waited patiently outside my son's school, then drove me back to the restaurant so I could look for my car keys. He also sorted through trash cans looking for my car keys. I don't know if this man knows how much he truly helped me. It worries me to think of my son being home by himself - don't know what he would have done. To say the least, I think the service at this restaurant was absolutely outstanding. I wish there was something I could do for this individual because he really helped me out. I will always choose this Panera location when I want this food and will always highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. read more

I love Panera Bread. Their food is fresh, tastes really good and is filling. My all time favorite sandwich is the Turkey and Bacon Bravo which I recently discovered. The bread is made there so it is fresh. I'm trying to stay away from the chips, as a side, but I rarely eat apples I can't select for myself and it seems lame to order a side of bread when you are ordering a sandwich... maybe its me! Had one of their Strawberry Lemonades which really hit the spot on a scorching day! Did i need the brownie? Nope.... did I get one anyway? Yep! Walked out of Panera feeling like a million bucks.
