Terrible customer service. Ordered rapid pick up: one sausage and egg on brioche, two bacon and egg on brioche with extra bacon. Received no bacon at all. Not sure how they could mess that one up but we had to drive all the way back so they could make us new sandwiches just for them to break the egg all over one of the new sandwiches. I love me some Panera. It's like comfort food to me, a sandwich, soup, and chips - yum! I always get the same thing and cannot force myself to try something new. I always have the bacon, turkey bravo, broccoli soup and kettle cooked chips. Their pastries are really good too. I purchase pastry rings for my office often and they are delicious and disappear quickly. I am highly sensitive and often get food poisoning and have never had it here, thankfully. There are a lot of things to love about Panera: the fresh baked goods and bagels, coffee in tiny their mugs, their amazingly perfect chips, their wall art... I can keep going. When, who I believe was either a manager or shift manager, came to a register. She spoke so fast that I had to ask her to repeat EVERYTHING she said! Something about $2 off on ham products. What's that all about? Was the ham going south and they needed to sell it? Had to ask for butter and the waitress sighed and brought me 2 butters in 4 minutes. Yes I was timing her. By the time I got the butter my soup had cooled to tepid. No one to ask to reheat it! Not for nothing, but I paid $15 for a snooty cashier, a disengaged waitress and no help to be found. they had run out of the ciabatta bread for the Tuscan Chicken sandwich so I ordered a tomato basil bread thinking it would pair well with that sandwich. When we got the sandwich I kept tasting this weird sweet and cinnamon flavor that made the sandwich taste funny. Sure enough I looked up the ingredients for the bread online and they add sugar, honey, and cinnamon to it! I swear it didn't taste at all like tomato or basil, only cinnamon. Went in to order breakfast for a staff meeting. Had no clue what to get. Really don't eat at Panera Bread...but the staff likes it, so here I am. The cashier (Crystal) was cheerful and professional. She had a teammate from behind the scenes ask her a question while I was at the register. Crystal handled it very well all while keeping her connection with me as the customer in front of her. She made helpful suggestions and advised me on prices as we selected my items. She offered to slice each of the bagels I ordered and made sure to have utensils in the bag too. Everything fit nicely within my budget this morning! I sat down to wait, and she was already done with everything in a few minutes! That was so fast! Loved the service here! Everyone was super friendly and available to help you even when their hands were full! I wanted a panini but a vegetarian one so the cashier recommended I get the Mediterranean sandwich and she'll switch out the bread for focaccia and she made an excellent choice! I love how they were able to substitute stuff and provide for vegetarians! I also got the tomato soup and they brought out Broccoli cheddar by mistake and when I took it to them they apologized and immediately switched it out for me! I have been here twice now with my family because I always give a place the benefit of the doubt once however, both times I have been here months apart not like I came here two days in a row with the same complaint and they have been out of items this second time they are out of condiments and only have three of the soups they have on the menu. My wife and I love coming to Panera bread and have been for years but these last two experiences will keep me from coming back to this one for sure I would rather drive 25 minutes to another one. This location had a limited variety of breads to choose from during our visit. But what they lacked in food inventory the customer service more than made up for it. The cashier was patient with ALL the questions my husband asked. The staff and manager were friendly, helpful and took the time to make sure we were satisfied with our order.
