Every thursday at 9 am me and my mom are regulars here. We love their chai tea lattes, breakfast sandwiches and soups. One time we got a chai tea latte , it was not filled all the in the cup. We asked the cashier to fill it up all the way because it was mostly foam. They said they measure it before filling the cup and thats the amount we get. So we sat down. Even though we were okay with them not refilling the cup, a very nice cashier came to our table ( probably because the manager said to ) and gave us a whole new chai tea latte filled all the way in the cup. This is one of the nicer Panera Breads that I have visited. The customer service is constantly top notch and they never fail to perfect my usual order: Mozzarella and Tomato Panini with chips and a Low Fat strawberry smoothie. It's a very relaxing place sequestered to the side of a homely mini-mall. No complaints! read more

This place wins in location. Its near my school, somewhat close the movies, etc. That being said, I have eaten many meals here since they opened, but I'm afraid to say that quality has been decreasing. I know this because I came here for a late lunch almost every week last year. Sometimes twice. hehe. 1. When they opened, you could pick to have your sandwich on any bread, and there was a list, now theres only the choice they have for each sandwich. 2. The portion sizes have gotten smaller, and they raised prices, I dont know if this is because they got that "Healthy Eating" Award, or because they werent making money, but its a consumer windfall. The lines are long at peak times, but they move, cashiers can be a little crabby, no justification for that. They also close too early. I enjoy this place, and its a great place to go with friends, and if you go at the right time, even study, its not as noisy between the lunch and dinner rush on weekdays. read more

I have lunch at this Panera Bread sometimes, since it's pretty close to my office. It's a lot cleaner and more organized than the one near where I live. The line moves quickly during the 11am-2pm rush, and they have a generous amount of seating. Their salads, sandwiches, and soups are great - definitely go for the Chicken Avocado Cobb Salad. All their breads are so soft and fresh, too! No complaints here. read more

When I drive into work from Brooklyn.. I love stopping here for breakfast the ambience is calm... BUT!!! sometimes they can have you waiting on the line for too damn long! Despite Panera Bread being my brother and his girlfriend's favorite place to eat, I had an aversion to Panera Bread because of its premium prices. Many times I go into Panera Bread only to come out empty handed because I would feel crazy for spending a lot of money just for a salad or a sandwich. Panera Bread usually looks great and smells great though so looking back now, I'm not sure how I even resisted not buying anything. With the decision of my co-workers to go to Panera's one day, I decided I was in the mood to try something new, even if it means breaking the piggy. Located right on Jericho Turnpike near Herricks Road, Panera Bread is situated in a small shopping center where it's mostly a challenge to get a parking spot. Usually, after circling the area once, somebody is bound to pull out of their spot, allowing me to park in afterward. Parking near the TD bank is easier than parking closer to Panera or Maxxels (another great restaurant next door to Panera Bread.) Going into Panera Bread, I notice there are two menus, one for bread and one for the café portion of the restaurant. There is no line to order from the bread menu, but the café menu always has a line (at least during lunch time!) I had a fuzzy time remembering what I ordered, but it was definitely the cheapest sandwich on the menu ($6.29.) There is a "You Pick Two" meal where I can pick a cup of soup, half a salad, or half a sandwich, but I passed on that because it doesn't make sense for me to pay a few dollars just for soup so I ordered a full sandwich. I tried to tell the cashier what sandwich I wanted, but she had a hard time understanding me. I thought my English was fine, but maybe the noise level was too loud in the restaurant. I repeated my order again. The cashier asked me if I wanted it to stay or to go. I thought my co-workers were ordering "to stay" so I told her "to stay." When I asked if I can pay with a credit card (there weren't any signs), I had to ask twice again because the cashier could not understand me. The cashier then nodded and took my AMEX credit card. After paying, I get a receipt and move over to the next section where the sandwiches are made. I don't remember if orders were automatically received or if I had to specifically repeat my order to the employee at the sandwich station. After seeing my co-workers with little "to go" bags, I had to tell the employee at the sandwich station with much apology that I wanted my meal "to go" instead of "to stay." Then employee was not thrilled, breathed out loud, but he did not complain to me. He swiftly took my sandwich off a plate and wrapped it up again as if it were "to go" and placed it in a brown bag. I thanked him many times because I felt like I caused him a lot of trouble even though he did not utter a word to me, but in my mind, he was probably thinking it. There were booth and table seats, but they were all occupied. Again, this place reminds me of a different version of Starbucks, only no couches. Plenty of natural lighting shone through the windows My co-workers and I managed to find a booth table and sat there. I felt lucky the seats were not torn (I have torn-seat phobia.) Inside my little brown Panera baggie, I unwrapped my fresh sandwich. I can't remember if there was a pickle accompanied by my sandwich. As soon as I bit into it, the bread was fluffy and the sandwich tasted real good, as if I-won-a-reward good. If I had any troubles at work, this feeling would sure go away as I devoured my sandwich as if I was in a commercial. I couldn't stop talking about how good it tastes to my co-workers. I think all the ingredients that Panera uses are top notch. On top of that meal, a bag of Panera Bread chips was included in my order. I have no idea how Panera Bread makes it, but it is one of the crispiest and delicious chips I've ever tasted, promptly eating the whole thing with no leftovers. From the website, there are such things as the Panera Card which works similar to an E-Z pass. The purchase gets debited out of your balance. You can set it so when the balance gets low enough, you will be charged for a refill at the amount of your choosing in real-time, meaning instantly. Personally, there's no real advantage to having this card because a credit card is just as useful. A while ago, the company that I work at was treated two times towards the end of the year to Panera Bread catering: Panera Bread sandwiches, salads, and cookies. It does state on the menu that a 24hrs advance notice is requested for each order, Panera Bread was willing to deliver us more food in 45 minutes because there weren't enough sandwiches at one point for for everybody in the company. I do not know if the order was made from this location, but I can promise that the sandwiches taste just as heavenly. Next time, I just have to try some soup then, since it smells so appetizing. I was in the area and ordered on line for Rapid Order. When I got there the order was "ready", sitting there waiting for me to pick up. Who would think to check the order since they had it "ready". Drive home (about 1/2 away) and discovered one sandwich missing. When I called the store they suggested I come back. Explained I don't live in the neighborhood and was told when I come back in...won't be back in ever!! Told them to credit my card and was told they cannot without me there. Always enjoyed panera! Great food and it's technically fast food with a healthy twist. I order to go more than anything at this panera. We usually call ahead and place the order and swing by and pick up our order. They used to have a special line for pick ups but have since done away with it. This was annoying because I was taking the steps to speed up the process and had to wait on the line to order anyways. When I was in there today, they are introducing a system where you can order online, pay online, and pick up your order from this book shelf looking thing? in the restaurant. I'm interested to see if the system is effective (people taking the wrong orders, people stealing food thats been paid for, is someone going to monitor the book shelf of food? I love Panera, and I frequent this location for lunch when I work during the week. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff is very pleasant and try to be as quick as possible. Lunch tends to be very busy and a mistake was made on my to go order that I didn't notice until I was back at work. With just a call everything was graciously remedied. This is the Panera I frequent the most. The bagels are amazing, I've gotten addicted to the blueberry cream cheese and the unlimited coffee is a huge plus. My Panera card randomly gives me free treats which is always a pleasant surprise. If you are staying a while to take advantage of the free wifi no one bothers you and some employees will even come up to you and ask you to try a sample of whatever new item is currently on the menu. Breakfast is a good time to come, plenty of seating in the mornings. Once lunch hits it gets very busy and it doesn't seem to stop. Lots of students use it as a study place after school and then may stay for dinner. Would definitely love to see more Paneras on the Island. read more

Usually I love panera and usually the service is good. But the last time I came, someone messed up my order. I don't normally complain because things happen but the fact that the manager and cashier were very reluctant to fixing it was a huge turn off. All I asked for was a switch of bread on my panini and it was such a hassle to get. The people making the food seemed as if they were not paying attention to the orders and were getting my order wrong. They gave me a weird look for sending my panini back. This Panera has excellent customer service and always puts the customer first. I recently got a panini and it was absolutely too salty, it felt like I was licking salt. Usually I don't like to complain about anything but it was just inedible. I sent them some feedback. And a representative called me the next day to apologize and ask for more feedback on how they can improve and compensated me to come back and try their panini again. I really appreciate this gesture because most companies do not take customer complaints seriously and try to fix the issue. read more
