When our order was ready, the staff brought it to our table; we had a notification device, so I don't know if that is standard procedure here or because the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. Typical Panera fare and quality. The customer service at this location is great. They got my order wrong and I was fairly upset (but polite) when I approached the manager with the problems. The manager, who looked young and tired, handled my issues very patiently and offered to fix all the problems right away. Always a solid, but not fantastic panini. Not thrilled with the new Thai Chopped Salad: too many lima beans, too many carrots, not enough peanuty-ness. There is something that always bothers me here. The lids to the beverages don't snap on right. It always takes an extra minute to get my beverage closed. Picky, I know, but it's a detractor. I don't like that you pay for the side with the salad. People get a salad usually to not have sides. I like the new calorie counts on the menu. I wonder if they are actually accurate. I doubt so. I hate this stupid parking lot. The bf loves Panera, but we are VERY sad that the regular chicken salad sandwich is gone. The almonds and grapes are just wrong. I do love their pastry rounds, we get one for the office every few weeks - 9 triangles of delicious pastry - 3 cream cheese, 3 apple, 3 cherry, all for around $9ish. And their cheddar broccoli soup is pretty good, and the white mac and cheese is decent. Don't attempt to walk in during the week around lunch hour, because everyone from the surrounding office complexes is here. The best part of this Panera is the drive-thru! This Panera has a drive-thru, which I didn't take advantage of, but is a very nice option for when you're in a hurry and don't exactly want mystery meat and greasy fries for dinner. I got the Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad which was fresh and light, and you get a nice big bowl of it. It comes with a baguette - unless you want an apple, or I think maybe a small bag of chips. The bread was surprisingly good and if they told me they baked it that same day, I'd believe it. I liked the salad, although it's too much fruit and not enough veg for me. I like the lightly herbed chicken, and crunchy pecans, and the light hand with the dressing. The strawberries and blueberries and mandarin oranges all tasted good and summery, but it's basically a fruit salad over lettuce! I don't think I'd order it again, I'd probably go for a more veggie-heavy salad, but if you want to get your fruit fix, this is definitely a good seasonal salad and a light, healthy lunch. read more

I ate the broccoli cheddar soup and a med veggie sandwich last night. Right after eating I got a migraine headache, chills, extreme nausea, and had to make multiple trips to the bathroom. I've eaten this exact order before, so I know it's not an allergy. I believe I have food poisoning! I hope the food handlers are doing their jobs properly and that they are checking for freshness. On top of being extremely ill, I was supposed to leave for vacation this morning, but now have to deal with calling the airlines to reschedule it because I couldn't get out of bed!! This is your standard issue Panera. The food was good. I did a you pick two soup and sandwich, both of which were quite tasty. It was packed for lunch, but they seemed to be clocking through orders efficiently. we were in and out in 30 min. My one complaint, and this goes for Paneras countrywide, is that you cannot see the menu until you are at the counter, which means you have to stand there awkwardly at the front of the line with people waiting behind you while you decide what to get. read more

Went here today and had the worst experience at a Panera ever. The manager was energetic and sweet and started a conversation with us as he took my friend and I's orders. My friend's food arrived pretty quickly, but part of mine didn't come out until about half an hour later. I took my receipt to the front to tell someone that my order hadn't come out yet, and the person behind the counter made eye contact with me, and then went to the other register to take someone else's order. It was a huge hassle and I don't think I should've had to go through all that. read more

Probably not coming back here. Soup with a bread bowl was what I ordered. The "bowl" was barely filled half way up. So, what I got was a large sourdough roll with a splash of soup. Cost cutting at my expense is not cool. I should have only been charged for half of the soup since i only got half of what it should have been. This isn't the first time this has happened. I have visited several Panera Bread restaurants in out local area and I was both surprised and disappointed with this one. It was a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy, finding a seat was not easy. Also, it was so noisy that I couldn't hear someone talking to me across the table. There were several tables waiting more than 20 minutes to be cleared and cleaned which would have helped the search for somewhere to sit. The men's rest room was horrible! It smelled like it had not been cleaned in a month. I went to a stall and the toilet there was so nasty that I decided not to look at the other stalls but to hold my business (and I really had to go). On the plus side, it was great to see that this location had a drive through window. This is the only one in the local area that I can recall that has this feature. Also, my coffee was freshly made (I could tell by the time on the coffee pitcher) and my salad was excellent. If they cleaned up their act (and the tables and restrooms), I would raise my ratings. As it is, I would only visit again due to necessity. I have experienced better from Panera. read more

My most recent visit confirmed that this Panera location has the absolute slowest counter service, equivalent to the speed of the DMV in Zootopia. Yes it was lunch time. Yes they were busy but to only have two registers open shows the lack of customer service at this particular Panera. You would think that a manager would see all those people waiting in line and open additional registers ... nope! I waited twenty minutes to place my order as two employees who seemed overwhelmed, struggled to deal with the line. Consistently get my order wrong in drive thru (so make sure you check your bag before you leave) Many of my sandwiches look like a 6th grader made them with a half of piece of wilted lettuce and half cucumber on a veggie sandwich. The last sandwich I got was made from the stale end of the loaf and not edible. Recently went and asked for the half deal, the guy repeated what I wanted. I thought the price was a lot higher. Love this Panera bread, they have a drive-thru service!!! It's absolutely perfect for those winter days when you just don't want to get out of your car and have to unload a baby and a toddler with you. I only order one thing - their chai tea lattes! I LOVE their chai tea lattes and I always order it with half the amount of sweetener they usually put in since I'm pretty sensitive to sweetness. I am a regular customer of this Panera on weekend and I love the food here.However the service of drive through is really a big disappointment. There is a lady Who wear glasses in the drive through service I usually deal with. She works in Sunday morning sometimes Saturday too, if I recall it right. Apparently she doesn't want to work there and hates everybody that bothers her life. Her service is slow and she is impatient and rude. In short, she gives food a bad taste. I'm from St. Louis, where Panera originated, so I always make a special trip here when visiting my friends in Naperville. The service is very friendly, the facility is always spacious and clean. There are a number of ways the food has changed since Panera stopped being the St. Louis Bread Company to cheapen the quality and worsen the health content of the food. Its a shame because you would think salads and soup would be healthy, but they're extremely high in sugar, fat and artificially low in fiber. There bread here doesn't taste as good, it has a cheap thin quality to it. This past time I got a favorite, Asiago cheese bagel and cream cheese. It wasn't the high quality cheese I remember, no different than what you could buy at a grocery store, and the bread was thin and frankly unenjoyable to eat. I didn't finish it. If I am paying $17.45 for a full sandwich and half salad, I expect for it to be made correctly as well as given the appropriate quantity with my order. In addition, the girls working the drive through around 4:45pm today were not professional and giggling as a result of a bagel being burned which I could smell outside in my car. I attempted to resolve my grievance with the on-site manager who was unreachable on 4 separate occasions by phone. I normally go to this location a lot because of its proximity to where I live, but this will end now. They fet my order wrong everytime. I arrived at around 7:45 or so and ordered a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on a asiago bagel instead of the normal bread it comes on. I get home and it is made on the normal bread instead of what I asked for. Previous times they have forgotten my apple and have gaven me chips instead. Also the menu board for the drive thru is extremely old and needs to be replaced, you can barely see it. read more

Everything on the menu is really worth trying and can really satisfy your cravings. Their pricing is also great, affordable, fair, and reasonable. You can save a lot of money here compared to other stores around the area. They have sandwiches, salad, bread, pasta, desserts, soups, and beverages. Everything is made to perfection. You can really tell that all of their food is freshly cooked and homemade. They will serve it to you while it is hot. Their menu is really mind-blowing and awesome! Panera Bread is exceptional! Their place is huge, clean, neat, nice, decent, bright, and organized. It has a good ambiance inside, the tables and chairs are perfectly aligned, and they also have interesting decors and designs. I want to love this place... why? because its close to my job and it not only has a drive thru but also Rapid Pick Up with easy payment thru Paypal. However, the last few times I've gone there the food was pretty meh.... But today was just too much. I asked a coworker to stop and pick up my food. I placed my order via rapid pick up for a Broth Bowl. The picture on the website looked amazing... what i got however was not even close. And this was way overpiced at nearly $10. This is probably the best PB that I have been to and I have been all over. The employees were friendly and the place was spotless. I got served right away and there were actually tables open so I could eat sitting down. Very few wifi'ers here. I must be getting old because the italian combo was almost to big. Although Panera is usually a restaurant of last resort, it did have it's place.....up until last night that is. I can recall consuming some tasty soup, and the Asiago roast beef was generally pretty good, but last night everything was bad, and it is apparent that shareholder return now trumps customer satisfaction. The abomination that they're calling Steak Balsamico should be renamed. I would suggest Steak Regurgitato, because that is nearly what it caused me to do. It's a gooey amorphous mess of an ill-conceived sandwich. And the flavor was analogous to drinking cheap balsamic straight from the bottle. The chicken and wild rice soup was cold, and it must have contained a week's worth of sodium chloride. Even the apples that they are serving are of poor quality. And it's not like you're eating on the cheap. The 1/2 steak regurgitato and a cup of soup was $8 something. On a positive note, the blueberry scone was tasty. read more

Great Panera! I've been coming here to eat breakfast/sip tea while I study. Music got a little loud so I was looking at ceiling to find a table not under a speaker. Manager walked up and asked me if I needed help. I told him I was moving to get away from the speaker right above my table. He kindly told me to stay at my table and that he would turn down music, which he proceeded to do. While I enjoy the background noise of music (which is why I don't study at libraries!) sometimes Panera's music can get a little loud. Will be coming back to this location! read more

I have always had friendly service and they give me a larger cup for water. Those Dixie lick cups just don't cut it. Unless I want to get up every two minutes to refill it. I work right by this location so for the hungry decorators at our shoppe, this is kind of viewed as our go-to for food. A great aspect of Panera is that their menu is extensive where it can meet pretty much anyone's needs. I love their soups and bagels and when money is tight, I love that a bagel from here is satisfying enough to take place of a real dinner. A few favourites of mine from Panera would be their Frontega Chicken Sandwich, Tomato Mozzarella panini, their Tomato/Basic/Mozzarella salad (seasonal), The Greek Salad, and pretty much any of their soups. They got a new power breakfast sandwhich that is divine and I always crave it in the mornings when I work by this location. It's vermont white cheddar, tangy ham, and an egg on whole grain toast. It keeps me going for awhile, just the right mix of fat and proteins. I am so sad that they took away the Bistro Steak Salad a few years ago, but they started to bring back other steak options, so that will have to be kept in mind for my future orders. I always go for the You Pick Two because then I really get the best of both worlds. I like variety in my meals and with this you can choose a side salad/soup to go along with any half sandwich. The portions are pretty well sized. If you go for this option, it is likely you will be paying about $8 for your meal. A big perk to this location is that there is a drive thru which speeds the process up. If no one is in line you can get in and out in under two minutes. This location tends to get busy as hell though. Sometimes the lot is completely full, which is a bummer, but the service is pretty quick, but like any other fast food, make sure you check your bag for the right food. This goes for both drive thru and carry out. I had an unfortunate experience at this location that went unheard about until now. I was in a rush and I was CRAVING a piping hot panini because it was a particularly cold day. So I scooted over, went in, ordered, got my buzzer, and waited. At the same time my buzzer went off, so did the woman's next to me. We looked at each other (must have had the feeling something was about to go wrong) and got our bags handed to us. Because of this reason, I checked my bag; okay, had the right salad, saw a half sandwich, and I thought I was good to go. I got back to the shoppe counting down the moments to scarf down my lunch. I opened up the sandwich and it was a pathetic cold turkey sandwich, with a lowly piece of turkey and cold lettuce flopping around between the two cold pieces of whole grain. I let out a HUGE 'BOOOOOO!" in my store because I was so disappointed. I had paid more for my other sandwich and still didn't get that hotness I was after. I knew that I should have felt my sandwich instead of just relying on my eyeballs. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD-! I wasn't too turned off because these things happen. Another feature Panera added are those cute little cards you can clip right on your keychain for perks! I signed up for one online after getting the card itself at the bakery. I have my free espresso drink hot or cold waiting for me at anytime. Each time I used my little perk, a new one comes about. I work down the street from this panera, and boy does this company seem to be letting me down lately. For starters my wife and I received burnt bread, burnt sandwiches, and half full bowls of soup. If the lunch wasn't enough of a let down I went up to get a pastry I was a bit annoyed to see almost nothing labeled and had to wait 15 minutes just for an employee to come to the bakery where I was waiting so I could find out what they had. Never been to a Panera? Liar! Actually, I like this one because of the larger lounge area. Four people can all get a comfortable leather chair, or sit on the couch, and you don't feel rushed, especially around dinner time. The average score of three stars is about right. For a Saturday morning executive meeting in our offices, I ordered $65 worth of bagels, which came with four cream cheese tubs. I was handed about 10 napkins and five plastic knives. When I pointed out I was serving 25 people, I was given 10 more napkins and 2 more plastic knives. Forced me to raid my company's cafeteria for adequate utensils and napkins. The good thing is that the food itself is reliable for such a meeting but get with it Panera Naperville. read more
