Tasha the Manager on duty had horrible customer service. She was very rude. I came in to replace a bowl of french onion soup that I ordered without cheese. They mistakenly added cheese. I just wanted a replacement of what I purchased. I poured most of it out to make sure there was cheese throughout. And there was. The extremely rude manager Tasha said that they can only replace it with a cup of soup. I ordered a bowl! She had a horrible attitude. This is Panera where they usually have great customer service, not any other restaurant. She may need to go to a different restaurant where the culture isn't as hospitable. This is a sad excuse for a restaurant. I ordered lunch for a work meeting today. For a guest I ordered the modern Greek salad with quinoa. It was basically a bowl of lettuce. I called them and the manager said, we have strict dietary guidelines, (implying that the salad is supposed to be made that way), if you don't like how we made it we can add more. If adding one tiny slice of avocado and a tiny bit of quinoa to a bowl of lettuce are your "dietary guidelines" you should reconsider portion sizes, or advertise accordingly. It took 3 people to take her order and figure how to enter her special requests. 15 min later I took my turn and ordered a large bowl of chili. That was it. She said we don't have any baguettes left. I said ok can you substitute a bagel (they were closing shortly anyways) she asked the manager who said nope. U can have a piece of white bread. I said no thanks. No -I'm sorry or anything. Just nope. Ok no biggie. So I wait for my order and they give me this tiny little bowl of chili. I said to the kitchen staff is this a large. The supposed manager hears and comes up and says what did u order? I said a large bowl of chili. She said well a large bowl is a big group order that is 21$? I said either way how did I get this tiny little cup. How does that translate to large. So then she argues with me and says u should have ordered it this way. You didn't order it right. I said how do you order a large bowl of chili. I was in shock. Are u kidding me right now. You're going to tell me I order a large chili incorrectly instead of saying , geez sorry we had no baguette and took your order wrong, let me make this right. I really like this Panera, despite other reviews. The service was fast and quality. It's clean, in a convenient location and is relaxing inside. It isnt packed for lunch on weekdays from what I've seen. They have the new tablet ordering, I tought it worked well, but like the interaction with a person. One perk is all calories are right there when you order - helps you keep it health (of you choose) ;) Overall - a top Panera in my book. OK so if you have not gone to the White Bridge Road location for Panera bread and get in your car and go now because the best guy ever is at the register named Sean. He is beyond fabulous!! He is super personable. Not to mention his guidance on some of the food items were top notch spectacularly delicious!! I order catering once a week at least for my company. I ordered a huge catering order from this Panera this morning for 8am pickup. The cashier said it wasn't ready and to wait. So I sat down and waited 30 minutes. I then receive a call from someone else in that same Panera, saying that my order has been ready and they were wondering where I was. So I walk back up to the cashier and let her know I received a call, and THEN she grabs the catering guy from the back to get my order that had been ready since at least 7:45. The lack of communication at this location amongst employees is completely unprofessional and will prevent me from ever returning to this location and maybe even Panera Bread as a whole. Not to mention the crumbs and trash I spotted while waiting for my order. read more

This place needs to be cleaned. I went in during a slow period. Tables and floors were dirty. There were several employees that walked by and checked to see if the trash was full. The areas around the trash cans and beverage center were filthy. If the front area is filthy, I don't want to see the kitchen. Food and service were fine. read more

Well, I love Panera.... I normally have a great experience and food quality is normally top notch. Today, let's start with I ordered rapid pick up so I did not have to talk to anyone - I can just show up at the time I picked, grab my order and move on with my day. Little did I know I would indeed have to talk, ask questions and question myself to see if I yes, indeed made the order as I thought or had I gone mad. Instead, I was met with an attitude from another world- from their leader, or manager as she was barking out orders. I truly feel bad for "her employees" she told me she was too busy... was I supposed to feel sorry for her? Sandwiches were made sloppily on old bread which looked like it wasn't proofed enough and didn't rise correctly. tried the new Mango/Yuzu beverage today thinking it would be refreshing like the other lemonades but it was way too sweet, like a candy syrup. Panera is actually pretty good but this location is absolutely terrible. I literally just made this account so I could bash this specific store. I work right by this place so we go for lunch occasionally. 10 out of 10 times they have gotten my order completely wrong. I've started testing them just to see if they even read the tickets or have the slightest bit of quality control, they don't. Screw Panera as deeply as possible. When you charge $10 for a sandwich you better make sure it's right. Taco Bell and McDonald's get orders right more often than this house of idiots. The past two times going through the drive through they have omitted items I ordered and the portions on the sandwiches were minuscule. Seriously, the chicken salad didn't even cover the bread. The girl who took my order the first time sort of struggled, but the place is new, so the employees are, too! Cut them some slack for a month or two, people. I am huge fan of carbs, yes I could literally eat just bread for dinner (I have no shame folks!) ;) so going to a chain bakery has no effect as far as my opinion goes. Panera has always been a bit pricey but good quality and a variety of products for breakfast and lunch keep me coming back. Unfortunately this location lost the memo on that last part. I absolutely have no problems with the service. I've always been greeted with a smile and cheerful attitude but the lack of food items through out the day sucks. I have come in at several times before 3pm and the bread racks behind counter and almost empty. I came in today around 2 and there where 6 bagels at the most along with 8 loaves of bread and this is being generous. I really wanted a bagel but ended up getting two blueberry muffins instead. These were the last muffins left as well. I asked the cashier if they were going to bake some more today and she said no. I've asked this before and get the same answer which I find weird. I've worked in two bakeries (one local and one chain) and we always had a second bake for the latter part of the day. I understand not wanting to waste food and that restaurants run of food and baked goods all the time but if you constantly have an issue with running out of inventory maybe you should consider changing the way you run your daily operations. This seems to be a location thing because I never have this issue at the other locations in Nashville. If Panera Bread at White Bridge can fix this issue they'd be an awesome location! read more

This Panera was pretty much like most I have been too. I thought the service was really good - very friendly. I had no problems and the food was as expected. I went for lunch and it was busy but there were lots of places to sit. The only problem I have is that 2 people were robbed while I was there. One person had his phone charger stolen (weirdly not his phone) and I heard one woman run out the door shouting hey hey that is my computer! People put their things down and go get their food or refills so kind of on them to police their stuff but thought I would write this review to warn people. I would never go there to sit down again because... yikes. read more

I ordered the Frontega chicken sandwich in the drive thru. I pulled off and realized the sandwich only had chicken tomato and cheese on it. I went inside and told them they left off the basil and onion. They made my sandwich again and this time left off the cheese and tomato! I understand everyone is frazzled right and the staff was incredibly kind, however that was just ridiculous. A five minute trip turned in to 25. This Panera needs to hire new management and retrain their employees to pay attention to tickets that come through. I typically order the same thing every time, French onion soup with extra cheese and extra croutons. 9 times out 10 I don't get cheese or croutons or both and end up having to drive back to get it. It's really frustrating because the whole purpose of French onion soup is the cheese and croutons. I would understand if this only happened every once in a while, but every time is a bit much. Sometimes they run out of stuff and don't even tell you. They just make whatever you ordered without the right ingredients. Managers should never allow this. Also, if a customer has to drive all the way back to the restaurant because their order was wrong Managers should at least offer them something instead of acting as if the customer is wrong. This location is terrible- bad service, never enough people working, orders are consistenly wrong. I eat here almost weekly with friends and every week there seem to be more issues. This Panera is different because it has the easiest Panera drive thru. This restaurant and the entire building it's in was just built, and designed fron scratch, so the drive thru is not just an afterthought. The VU 21st Avenue Panera drive thru was an awkward add-on and there is sometimes gridlock there. The fresh crew here at this Belle Meade Panera are fast on their feet and the line moves quickly. As with many Paneras the breakfast time and lunchtime lines can be long but when the chicken salad or soup in a bread bowl is ready you know what you're getting. Panera food is about the same at all their restaurants. I like the Brueggers alternative across the street for their bagels. Also some of the sandwiches at Brueggers are better bite buys. read more

Horrible customer service and very bad attitude on phone. It took 6 phone calls and long waits each time and 5 disconnections before actually speaking with someone at 10:15am. We called to check the status of a catering order and found it it had been transferred to another store 25 miles north of town. We simply asked if they could call the other location and ensure that delivery was going to be as scheduled. The guy that I spoke with was extremely rude and did not want to check on this order. When I called back, the lady that answered was extremely rude and told me from now on they would not call to check - even though no one called us to see if we were ok with our order being transferred out. We have had delivery issues before and just wanted confirmation that it would arrive on time. We will not be working with them on any more catering orders in the future. Employees need training on manners and better customer service. Just RUDE! read more

Worst Panera I've ever been to!!! I'm a Panera Bread lover, so when I heard they were opening one right down the street from me I was pretty excited. Excitement has now turned to disappointment after the 2 god-awful experiences I have had there since it's opening! I went about 2 weeks ago through their drive-thru and I ordered a pick 2 with the Turkey Avocado BLT and a Chicken Caesar Salad (as is, nothing complicated). I wanted a baquett as my side and they said they were out of baquetts. You're Panera Bread, how are you out of bread!?!?!? I have never heard of such. So then I proceed to the window to get my order and the girl asks me again what I ordered. Apparently they had made me a Chicken Caesar Sandwich instead of salad. Why would I have a pick 2 with 2 different sandwiches!? That doesn't even make sense. So after waiting forever, they assure me they have included my salad and also gave me the Chicken Caesar Sandwich they accidentally made me. So I drive off but decide to check my order before I leave the parking lot and realize they didnt give me any dressing for my salad. So then I have to go back around and get in line again to get dressing. Finally I get home to eat my dinner, and I open up my salad to realize they put TURKEY on a CHICKEN Caesar Salad! I couldn't believe it. So then I figure I'll just eat the Chicken Caesar Sandwich they included instead. But I couldn't eat that either because the sandwich was DRENCHED in MAYO (which isn't even supposed to be on that sandwich) and the chicken on it was PINK!!! Wtf. Even my Turkey Avocado BLT was drenched in mayo, and it only had ONE strip of bacon on it. It looked like a disgusting mess! It was basically a $15 meal wasted! So I wasn't planning on going back, but today I remembered I had a free bagel on my Panera card that I've been needing to use. I decide to give this Panera another chance...surely they can't screw up a simple bagel order! Wrong. The lady I encountered at the window today could not figure out how to swipe a Panera card! She got extremely rude the moment I handed her my card and told her I had a free bagel offer I'd like to use. She immediately got flustered and started yelling repeatedly that my card was "not processing." A minute later she hands me back my cards and food and says, "Sorry about that," so I assume she figured out what the problem was, but then I look at my receipt and see that I still got charged for the bagel. So then I said, "It doesn't look like it took off the bagel?" And she gets real nasty and says, "Yeah I told you your card could not be processed!" This is all quite odd, seeing as how I go to other Panera breads all the time and have NEVER had any issue with my Panera card. Sounds like user error to me. Oh and I got home to realize they gave me the wrong cream cheese with my bagel LOL. Why am I not surprised. Basically to sum it all up, I will not be going back to this Panera, and I recommend you do the same if you would like to save yourself the annoyance and hassle of getting a simple meal. You'd think sandwich making isn't rocket science, but these people need at least a year to figure it out. There's a great Panera Bread on 21st Street across from Vanderbilt that always gets it right, go there instead. Convenient location close to Nashville State. Decent food and staff. Some menu items really aren't worth the cost though. The pastas are yummy, but they're microwaved. Bakery items are made fresh every night/morning, so get in early to get the best quality food. read more

Like many people who have reviewed, i did not have a good experience at this location. I'd rather drive double the time to go to another location than this one. The staff was extremely rude. I ordered rapid pick up and they left out two items i placed. They forgot my cookie and i went back in to get it. They didn't want to give it to me, but i knew i ordered it. Then, i went in to get my drink cup they left out of my bag, and they were rude again! For something THEY forgot- as if it's my fault. I will not being going to this Panera ever again. I will drive forever in a different direction if i want Panera again. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone, ever! read more
