It's not terrible, but the staff definitely does not enjoy working there and there is just a kind of negative vibe behind the counter (unlike the nearby starbucks). It may be because they don't pay their staff very well, so there isn't very much emphasis on customer service or attention to detail. Slowest service ever. This is my 2nd time visiting and drive thru service was slow both times. This time there were only 2 cars in front of me. The first car had to be sitting at the window about 10 min before their food arrived. The 2nd car got their food pretty quick but then the worker started holding a conversation with the driver's kid in the back seat asking her about school, staying focused, etc and then practically begged the child to take a cinnamon roll. The child repeatedly said no. Smh. Do not go here if you want adequate service. You're asking for disappointment. read more

A bit pricey for someone who comes here frequently. But they do have variety , consistency and quality. Taste is above average. Ingredients in salads are made to appeal to a variety of customers. I usually go for the acai berry tea though they have your old fashion sweet tea if you prefer. The only wish I have is that they serve better coffee. read more

Tried Panera bread for the first time. I was not impressed. Bfast sandwiches incorporate a very hard smashed egg. Toasted bagel is just warmed barely not toasted at all. Muffin was pretty good. For 20 bucks I could've enjoyed a Real Breakfast somewhere. read more

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. THIS PANERA NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! The last 7 times I've been there they are "out of ham" WHY IS A RESTAURANT CONSTANTLY OUT IF ITS MENU ITEMS?! Then, the last time I went for a ham sandwich, they said out of ham. So, I was like "not a big deal, I'll get the tomato soup (they always have tomato soup) and they said "we are out every soup except butternut squash".. then I hear them say to the lady after me "the only soup we have is tomato" WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K?!? THEN tonight I make the mistake of going back again. I order the clam chowder and all of the potatoes are mush!!! And my steak panini (cause they didn't have the ham AGAIN) HAS ONE PIECE OF HAM!! This is the worst location I have ever been to. We called the manager tonight and the only thing he did was say "umm I mean, I can give u a free entree". With no way to guarantee I actually get it. Oh so sad....Panera was a disappointment ! I ordered the soba noodle bowl. They do not have the option of cup or bowl. The price was over $8.00 dollars. The soup tasted like campbells vegetable soup out of the can. The noodles were under cooked and lacking vegetables. This is probably the best Panera Bread in Nashville. The problem I've noticed at most Panera Breads is that they do not heat up the panini sandwiches sufficiently. This location generally does a pretty good job. Parking and location is also pretty good. Most of the time when I've been there in the evening it hasn't been too crowded. This place is right across the street from my house and I have to say I visit almost every day. I believe a third of my paycheck goes to Panera. Lol. My favorite people there are Meka and lisa. It's a Panera Bread, and it's great as far as Panera Breads go. But the winning factor? It's closer to my house than the one in Green Hills, and it has a DRIVE-THRU! I love drive-thrus! The worst Panera Bread I've ever been to. Prepare to spend at least 20 mins sitting in the drive thru on a good day and know that there is a good chance they'll get your order wrong. Also, beware of the soups as they're literally scalding hot - hot enough to melt the plastic spoon they give you to eat them with. The quality control is still lacking at this location. The drive through line backs up into the parking lot of neighboring businesses. They still get orders incorrect, sometimes mistaking orders for multiple whole sandwiches as half sandwiches. Employees don't look like they're working hard at the height of the lunch hour. Food is good. Customer service is absolutely awful. I stood there waiting for the cashier to take my order for over 5 minutes. No body else in line. She just kept walking around. Literally walking around. No greet or anything. The women picking up food her order was wrong. The employee literally said this " sorry " and made a face like not my fault. As i sat down with my food another lady walked in and again NOT GREETED. She stood there and looked confused and turned around and walked out. We know there is kiosk. I've been to this Panera location several times and there is always a mishap. I ordered a bagel and a smoothie. It took me 20 minutes to get my smoothie. When I got the smoothie, the cup was halfway filled and I couldn't even get the smoothie through the straw. I talked to the manager and his excuse was that they had too many smoothies to make at the time, so it wasn't their best. It took me another 10 minutes to get my next smoothie, and the staff seemed super annoyed that I even ask for another one. They really need to work on their customer service. read more

For example, even the most strung-out carbohydrate addict should understand that you don't order a side of bread with a sandwich, though that is an option! This place is located in a convenient strip mall. When I walked in I was not greeted, unlike other panera breads. Anyhow, I continued through the line until reaching the register. I ordered the new BBQ chicken flatbread. And a cinnamon roll of course. They made my sandwich and called my name for it. The kitchen seemed to be badgering about something, but we all know that's a normal occurrence in a restaurant. . After receiving my food I sat down. The BBQ was on a singular flatbread. With BBQ sauce dripping from it. It had a melted cheese with pulled chicken and spinach in it. Over all it tasted good but probably could have been made better (spinach falling out of the bread) overall a good place, will come back in the future. read more

It never fails, every time we go, something is completely messed up on our order. Employees never want to fix it or argue that it's correct when it's definitely not. My dad sat at the drive thru for about 10 minutes, nobody helped him so he drove up to the window and had to knock on the window to get attention. Order is still wrong. RAPID pick-up? Ha! My order wasn't ready on time. It was 2 items. Gave it to me finally & 1 item, a salad, wasn't included. Then gave me 2 small salads saying large container not available. Asked to please add a smoothie to my order. Directed me to cashier. No cashier present until I called out "hello" & then saw someone sitting down in back room slowly approach the register. She then told one of the kitchen staff to make me a smoothie. Back to pickup window. No smoothie in the works. Asked again. Said making it now/saw what they were making in blender & not what I ordered. Then I saw employee who made it start to drink it when I advised not my order. Finally got it. Went home. Hubby's sandwich sloppily thrown together & fell apart when he opened it. My 1/2 Greek salad sloppy, 3 olives, mostly iceberg lettuce. I feel ripped off & for 1st time, had even added tip to my order. No one at this restaurant seems interested in working or serving customers. Will never return. read more

Every morning I come in between 630-7am. All coffee is out, bone dry. No rush to get it out whatsoever. The coffee time card on it says 3:40pm from the day prior. 5 stars for service and food and mostly service. As Nashville is growing exponentially, their service is amazing. We go and my little person always has lots of questions and we over order. I look in the rear view mirror while he does this, so don't judge me if we take a little time. LIke I said, looking in the review mirror, I note if someone is coming. Luckly we have been blessed not to hold someone up. OK love love love love their coffee. Not bitter, not weak, perfect and price is right. Their soups seem a little salty, but not locally their fault, bc they are prepackaged. The bread is perfect everytime and the sandwiches are wonderful. We get the beef and asiago cheese often and love it. Not a fan of onions so we ask to 86 them. Also get the turkey sandwich and the bagels. Great deal 13 bagels and 2 smears for a great price. Since this site opened, there have been serious issues with slow food preparation. Even when I used the online pick-up service and chose a specific time, I had to wait for my food to be prepared. The staff seems to take its time preparing the food, and they always seem understaffed. Forget the drive thru unless you have lots of time to wait. read more

I thought drive thrus were supposed to be the quicker option, but clearly not at this Panera location. I've waited in this drive thru one time for upward of 18 minutes! I waited at the microphone so I know the cars before me had already ordered and were still sitting when I was finally told to pull forward for my total. This location is very close and convenient for me when they actually are on top of stuff. I still have yet to receive any form of silverware when I order from the drive thru. I find it highly unlikely there wouldn't be any near the window to hand out. I was anticipating the grand opening of this Panera location because I am resident in the Hillwood area, so it is convenient to my home and they have great parking. The service was good and I was assisted by the manager, Vandra. She was very kind and promptly greeted me when I entered the store. Because it's still brand new, it is still very clean and organized. Absolutely awful. I met 5 friends here for lunch last weekend. We all ordered at staggered times as we arrived. It took 40 minutes for the first person to get her food. I eventually had to go and ask about the other orders. Apparently they had forgotten the 4 other orders. After about an hour wait all the food came out. None of the orders were correct. When I went up to inquire about it, everyone in the kitchen just had blank looks on their faces. There was one sweaty, exasperated older guy running around yelling at everyone. I sometimes come through the drive thru to get a bagel. They are usually out of whatever I order and if they're not, they get my order wrong 90% of the time. Today I order mac and cheese and got beef and onion soup... Would give less than 1 star if possible. read more

I work right next to this location, so I order a lot. My biggest complaint, is that they do not seem to have a very good system for the rapid order. Often, I use this because I swing by on a short break from work. Many times, my order will be slightly off (missing coffee, no side, etc) -- And, I then have to wait in line for them to correct it, which defeats the whole purpose of ordering online.. Also, many times they forget to put the food on the "rapid order rack", and you'll stand around until you later find out it's been sitting behind the counter, which again defeats the purpose of saving time by ordering online. The people seem nice here, and I'm sure they get swamped and "in the weeds", so I try to be understanding, but perhaps a better system / process for this could help. read more

I'm a big fan of Panera in general, but this location constantly messes up catering orders or doesn't even attempt to have them ready even though they were ordered online days in advance. Seems like a new employee is training on the registers every time I'm there so high turnover might be part of the problem. The employees are nice and food is good, just don't trust them with a catering order. read more

This Panera has some serious problems. They constantly run out of things. If you aren't aware that they have 86'ed something and still order it the staff stares at you with open mouths saying, "uhhh..." for awhile before finally managing to speak "uh we're out." And usually what they run out of is something key to the business. Granted my brain can't be any sharper than theirs because I have returned here periodically for the past year. Now I drive out of my way to avoid it. The worst thing about this Panera? I go and order soup with baguette and it takes an hour. During peak hours, during off-hours, one hour. I am serious.
