I've had a sandwich here on one occasion and a carrot cake muffin on another. Both we mediocre. The sandwich was nearly flavorless despite being on toasted tomato bread. The muffin was overly sweet and sugary without too much spice or the texture and flavor of traditional carrot cake. Both times the line was extremely long and slow and when I got to the register I felt very rushed. I have not been back since and can't find any good reason to do so. read more

Way overpriced, ordered the wonton broth bowl, extremely salty, wontons were more like chicken tortellini , barely any veggies in it, did I say salty? I want to like Panera but this is probably my 4th time eating here and I just can't see spending $10 for a bowl of soup, and a broth bowl is just soup, or $10 for a basic grilled cheese. I could of made 10 broth bowls or more at home for what the one cost. read more

They "cut" salad dressings that are suppose to be creamy in nature with vinegarette! I am allergic to vinegarette. When I asked the cashier if the Green Goddess cobb salad dressing had vinegar in it, she said no. Well, it did, and my tongue got so irritated that I could not enjoy the meal. They also do this with the blue cheese dressing. I guess it saves them money. read more

I love going to Panera because they have a variety of food, pastry and coffee. The employees are very friendly and seem to be very happy. However, I remember why I do not like coming to this location. Their Wi-Fi sucks. It's very slow and disconnects often. It forces me to go to the next coffee shop. It seems that this is the only location with this issue. Hope they can fix it, but it has been the same for the last year that I have lived here. read more

This place is horrible. First they are so slow. Like slower than slow. I waited in line forever and then had to leave and come back because it was so slow. Once I returned there was a black guy that was loud and annoying and the cashier kept asking him to get my order but he was too busy laughing and talking. Like she was in his face saying please get me this please get me that he just went on with his life not listening at all. Then when he finally got my order I saw him stuffing bread in his disgusting mouth. The last thing a person wants to see when they are ordering food is the person handing their food to be stuffing their own face. They need to retrain everyone and get rid of the one black dude. He has a low haircut and a jacked up smile and he was very loud possible mid twenties or so. This was my first time in Panera and I was hoping for some decent customer service at the least. i used to work at this location as a baker and let me tell you, the cleanliness of this store was the epitome of what a clean, sanitary, and healthy restaurant SHOULDN'T be. there was a time when i was working my shift and at the end i went to grab a mop and there were maggots all over the mop heads! and another time i found a bottle of basil pesto where the cleaning supplies were. the managers really don't give a sh-- about the service they provide to their guest, they don't care about the quality of the food. they don't care about anything. it really makes me think why i even worked for this company in the first place. panera is nothing but a company built on lies and lazy work ethic. read more

Been here twice. Poorly managed each time. Several things that brought dismay. On my first visit I ordered the turkey cranberry, however, they ran out of cheese spread. On the next day, no cranberry. The employees working the front were loud and having personal yet public conversations while 4 empty tables remained filthy... until someone complained. Not much changed after that complaint. A majority of us waiting for food kept talking about wanting to just leave because it had been such an uncomfortable atmosphere. The employee at the register can also learn to not sound so condescending when repeating orders. On my first visit, they forgot my drink and instead of 2 baguette sides I received 2 chips. On the next visit, the soup size was wrong. Also, at a very busy time, someone (perhaps the store manager) began doing their accounting in the middle of the restaurant on one of the tables. For this place being new, shouldn't all the tables be leveled and not leaning when pressed upon? But perhaps that part is just me being picky. I'd give 1 star, however this is a brand new restaurant so perhaps they will work the kinks. I'll update after the next few visits. The food is worth taking out. Staff didn't seem to care. No one at the register for a few minutes, both dark and light roast coffees were empty and none was being made so they had to start it. Even then, they didnt start both until I asked if she was making light roast. Then the girl making the coffee made sure I knew she wasn't even on the clock yet. People waiting and the staff was taking their sweet time. One girl made herself a drink, another was ending her shift and walking out with her food while there was a line without anyone seeming to take her place to help with the line. Oh yeah, and apparently the heater was broken. Manager needs to get things together. read more

I love all other Panera breads but this one. It is unfortunate because this us the closest one to my house. The service is poor, bathrooms smell like sewer, they forget items in your order, they are out of bread (of all things) and they just don't compare to the branches in Concord and Vacaville. They actually bring you your food and ask if they can get you anything else. I guess I should have known this would happen in Pinole. I think I'll skip on the Panera until I'm in Concord, Vacaville, Redlands, our Tennessee. read more

Staff are nice, but everything is very unorganized. Need better training, oversight, management. Front counter workers give you a pencil to sign your bill? Run out of souffles soon after opening? Manager walking around, apparently not doing anything to shorten the long line - how are the two front counter workers expected to take orders, fill orders, and also make the hot drinks? They always seem so stressed and bouncing around like their hair is on fire. Definitely need more staff, training, and stronger management. read more

I only downloaded this app to give this well deserved review to Panera Bread. Panera Bread is known to have a nice lunch or dinner and enjoy a good meal in wonderful warm environment. This Panera is the complete opposite of what it's advertised to be. Every time I walk in its low staff. Managers are nowhere to be seen. Associates always have to go back to grab a manager if assistance is needed. It seems that the regular associates are running the place here. While the managers are just ignoring everything that's happening. There's always stuff running out every time I go. Who takes care of the food shipment? General manager? Which I never see in the store. My biggest concern about this place was how a Manager was talking to his associates. I speak fluent Spanish and understand quite well and the way this manager spoke to his associate was way out of hand. Sexual jokes at a job? While working in a food place? Really unprofessional. I tried to get his name but no name tag was on him which really bothered me. I asked the cashier for his name and she told me Jose. Jose needs to be less worried about his jokes and more worried about fixing the problems in this Cafe. I hope the general manager has time to read this and takes serious action about these problems. read more

Horrible! Worst Panera Bread EVERRRRR! When I walked in it looked really nice the decor and I was excited theres finally one near my home but when i got up to order everything I ordered they said was out of that bread or out of bacon. I should of known then to walk out ughhh but I was with my boyfriend and we were hungry. So I ordered the chicken focia sandwich and the bread was burnt on top! And after I had taken a bite of it I opened my sandwich to cut the chicken since it was just piled in the middle of my sandwich but when I cut it I was so grossed out! IT WASNT EVEN COOKED FULLY still pink and slimy in the middle! I immediately went to the staff member there to inform him that it wasn't cooked and he said its supposed to be.....(idiot) I informed him about salmonella since he didn't care about my chicken not being cooked all the way through. Then while I was talking to him and showing him that its pink in the middle he just kept interrupting me and asking me what sandwich I ordered like it even mattered and he wouldn't stop interrupting me so I told him and he jus turned around ran to the cook and told him to make another sandwich because he a customer complained about the chicken not being cooked all the way. The cook got mad asking who then the cook and him were arguing while I'm just waiting there!?! No one cared that I ate an uncooked piece of chicken. No customer service no apology nothing! Very poor management horrible experience I walked out of there and will never go back!! Save your self from any food poisoning there since they don't know how to cook at all! read more

My mother and I entered Panera and were in the back of a long,long line of people. One young girl taking orders, joking, disapppeared talking. When it was our turn, the girl didn't look up and as I was ordering she was mumbling and talking, I,d tell her what we wanted and she just wasn't connecting. I asked her if the tuna salad was made with sweet pickle relish and she disappeared into the back returning with a cup of tuna salad and a spoon and told me No. Well it did indeed have sweet relish all through it. All we wanted was a cup of soup each and a half a sandwhich. Also a drink each. The bill was 22.00. Before we left to wait at a table for our food the girl said I got your joke about the Bear claw. It ended up on our bill. NOT ONLY DIDI NOT jOKE about a bear claw, we didn't order one but sure enough the charge was on the bill. She told me she would fix it later. When the manager came later I told her we both had sandwhiches but had a sour dough roll on the plate. She told me everyone got a sour dough roll or baguette with their sandwhich. I then told her that we were charged for a bearclaw and didn't order it so she suggested I get one anyway. I told her to please give us back our 99 cents politely. After a good 10 minutes she returns and tells me the computer wouldn't give me my 99 cents so here is 2.86cents. I looked at her so confused as she asked me if I'd like a Panera Card. They also hand you a vibrating disc to alert you when your order is up but no one tells you how it works. I saw a little old lady speaking into hers and another lady holding it tight to her ear as if it was going to speak to her. Never Again! oh did I mention the food was lousy. read more

i went there after my doctors appoinment since im pregnant i chose for healthier food to eat..i noticed that the cashier doesnt smile at all...after i noticed i havent got my water i ask the other woman in the cashier in the left side where you pick up the drinks,she was not also smiling..i mean overall the food was great but the staff should have a pleasant attitude towards every costumer..if they are not happy with their job they should quit.besides i went there morning so they should be energetic too.just saying! read more

We decided to go to Panera for dinner for the mac and cheese and some sandwiches. While waiting in line, we overheard the cashier tell another customer they were out of flatbreads and pumpkin cookies, which were advertised on the window signs. As we went to place our order, we were told they were out of mac and cheese. I substituted tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. We waited for about 15 minutes while orders that were placed after ours were made (where they also ran out of chicken broth bowls). They finally started working on ours and if I knew the grilled cheese was Kraft American Singles on chewy, under toasted sourdough, I would have ordered something else. As we were handed the bag with our food, we were told they were out of croutons for our soup and we were offered cheddar chips instead. While the soup was tasty, my sandwich was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. The service offered no apology that they were out of so many items, even though the restaurant was scheduled to be open for 4 more hours. This was my first Panera experience and I will not be returning anytime soon, especially to this location. read more

Came with my girlfriend. It was the first time either of us had been to a panera. We both ordered the Soba noodle bowl. I had mine with chicken and she had the other stuff (I forgot the name of the green beans). I asked the guy if the soup was a meal or just an appetizer. He said its a full meal and showed me the bowl it comes in which is a big bowl. We decided to also get a Thai chicken salad to split. Service was very fast, but the soup only filled about 1/4 of the bowl. It wasn't even close to what the picture looked like, so I asked the cashier about it. He said that's how they serve it. We felt like a little "bait and switch" was going on. That 1/4 bowl of very bland soup was almost $9, so neither of us was pleased. The Thai chicken salad was very good and actually filled the bowl for only $3.50. Anyways, my one and only visit to the great Panera was a bust. I'll never go back. If I want soup, I'll stick with Pho. $7 for enough great tasting soup to fill two people. read more

This review is actually regarding about the people who works at panera bread in Pinole... I ordered a ham and Swiss sandwich toasted and I ordered my 3 yr old a ham and cheese toasted as well... To mind you we waited 40 minutes for our order the people who waited behind me in the line actually got their order first before we did... Oh and did I tell you that I said toasted or grilled or whatever for sandwiches, when I got our order my daughters sandwich doesn't have a ham at all just cheese cold ass Effin' sandwich.. My sandwich it wasn't toasted and no mayo or whatsoever condiments in it... And I looked at my receipt it specifically says "toasted" so I guess the people that works there can do whatever they want in sandwiches it doesn't matter how you ordered it... I am not gonna come back in this branch for damn sure... I'd rather drive somewhere far and get a better service than going in this one :( read more

Very slow. Waited over 15 min for a take out order. Then the order was wrong. Ordered a 1/2 sandwich and soup and a full salad and didn't get the sandwich (got two small salads). And the salad was suppose to be a ceasar but it was mostly mixed greens. No where near a ceasar. No choice of a side was given because they ran out of chips (people kept asking for chips and they kept telling everyone they ran out). Overheard the staff say they ran out a long time ago and that they hd also run of of ceasar salad... We were given bread instead of chips (no choice). But no one ever let us know about the salad or the chip situation. They just served us whatever! Also the salad itself was definitely NOT worth $10. I think they may have given me the size salad that comes with the combo as opposed to an entree salad. The floor was all sticky near the pick up area. This store is terrible. Will probably not visit this site again even though its close to home. read more
