We need to talk about the salad portions yall. I be seeing the bowl smaller than it use to be, and filled mostly with greens and hardly any chicken or toppings compared to pre-2020. I know cuz I ordered Panera delivery almost every single day for work from 2017-2019. Yall were packing the salad containers way more full of the variety of fixings/ toppings and dressings back then. Regular portion chicken was great then. I use to pay for extra chicken and you could tell cuz it was like a whole grilled chicken breast chopped up. Now regular portion chicken is like 6 tiny slivers and yall changed your chicken I heard from antibiotic and hormone free back to jacked up chicken sometime after 2020. I knew it tasted different and I didn't want it anymore so i stopped ordering a lot from you after 2020. Recently I only began coming here again from time to time when I really am hungry cuz it's on my way to my business and I generally like the atmosphere of Panera over other restaurants. I am gluten sensitive and need to have sourdough if I'm going to eat any. I have never had a problem having any sandwich bread subbed for sourdough until this week when I ordered the new croissant toast. I know it's suppose to be on croissant bread but in the past Panera managers have always told me I can substitute any sandwich offering to sourdough bread no problem. This week at the Panera on dutchess turnpike I ordered the croissant toast with the ham and cheese and the supervisor or manager that my cashier asked if she could sub the bread first told her no then when I said can you tell her it's a dietary restriction for gluten sensitivity, she asked her again and she said ok this time but they're not suppose to change the bread on that item. Anyway she was able to ring it in sub sourdough but when I got it, it was not sourdough but the regular croissant toast bread. I was so tired and already full from my salad that I ended up letting my spouse eat the sandwich instead. But they either didn't pay attention to the ticket that said swap the bread or they didn't give af and manager changed their mind without telling me. I arrived and was waiting near front of store to be waited on. as there are registers all along counter I assumed because an employee was standing there making coffee , when he was finished I was next . on 8/6 my daughter and I went to Panera bread after the dentist. my daughter accidentally threw her retainers in the trash and didn't realize until after we left the store. I returned to the store 10 min later and Sarah one of the store managers actually went through the trash with her bare hands. she couldn't find it even after getting to the bottoms of the trash. she said she will take the trash bag back with her and continue looking. OMG 30 min later I get the call that she found the retainers!! SARAH is the GOAT!!! her determination to help my daughter find the retainers was amazing!!! she didn't have to do what she did! but that's sets her apart from the rest!! she is amazing person and an amazing store manager!! I always like to get Panera on the weekend because it's quick and it's really healthy to stop after I do my errands. But I'm noticing every time I come here the portions are getting smaller and smaller and smaller but the price is staying the same this time is probably the most deceiving I literally got a handful of lettuce also when I was standing there waiting for my to go food I also heard the employee say that the chicken was still frozen so that explains why I only got three pieces of chicken also. Completely disappointed and pissed! Spent over $30 to get some food, an order I place every Friday and received crap. I live 30 minutes away from this place and picked up my order I placed online, brought it home and it was a TERRIBLE sandwich. I called and made a complaint and was told I would receive a $20 voucher and a remade sandwich, when I came in the following Friday. Well, I came in, asked for my voucher and was told "we don't do that". I explained that I had called exactly a week ago and was told I would receive one AND a new sandwich. Never eaten here before so I decided to try it out, the food was good‍ I wanna go back and try the new chicken sandwiches.

Was visiting from out of town. Needed a bite to eat, a potty break and an hour to kill -after a three hour drive. Very friendly staff. They delivered the food to our table and made sure we had everything we needed. I had the prickly pear agave Fresca (or something like that). It was pretty good. Hint of guava and lime. And slightly fuzzy. I never get drink refills but I couldn't help my self! Clean restrooms. Had the pick 2 meal. Got the squash soup and the Mediterranean veggie sandwich. The Mediterranean is my favorite thing to eat at Panera. I am not a vegetarian but I love all of the flavors. Tomato basil bread, red onions, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, feta and jalapeño hummus. The squash soup was delicious also. My first time even seeing it. They topped the soup with pine nuts. Hubby had chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl and a turkey avocado sandwich. The young one had a kids Mac and cheese. After being disappointed with being served "blue box" Mac and cheese somewhere else, my little one always makes sure to ask before ordering Mac and cheese. I was surprised at how busy this Panera is. It feels like it's not in the right spot to have a crowd. But in the winter, the cafe at Adams across the street is closed, and the Starbucks next door doesn't have anywhere near the variety. It's also deceptively larger inside than it appears from the outside, so there was no problem getting a table even n a relatively busy Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, probably due to the layout, I don't believe they have as many registers at which you can place your order as compared to other Panera's in the area. Several times while we were eating there, the line backed up almost to the door. It also felt like they could have used one additional person to deliver meals. I tried one of their newer offerings, the Spinach Power Salad. It's quite good, even beyond the fact that it includes bacon! read more

Visit Panera this morning. Food was delicious as usual however during covid I did not see many safe practices being implemented. Ordered a hot tea with my bfast sandwich, employee put the cover on my cup without gloves and her hand pushed down on lid to close lid (cup was empty)... went to get my tea, all tea bags were in glass containers and you reached your hand into it to grab tea bag. Sugar packets were behind register but creamers were in carafes that every customer touches handle! As customers left, I did not see any employee go and sanitize the table that was used! Twice in the last few weeks they went above and beyond to get our very large order done sooner than the website provided time. (When you have a big order it creates it's own time) Both orders were for a time specific lunch meeting. We need to be better about ordering much earlier than we have been. Strike 3 you're out. After my last review, I was contacted by the district manager for this Panera. He apologized profusely and offered me a coupon for a free breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately, I will not be using the coupon as I do not plan on patronizing this restaurant again. Once again I ordered a Rapid Pick up and once again my food was not out where it should have been when I arrived to pick it up. This place has gotten a lot better since my last review. They don't get it right 100% of the time, but enough to keep me coming back. Today I got mobile order and it was ready when I arrived. Something I've had issues with in the past. I love the Autumn squash soup it's so good I have to limit myself to getting it in a bread bowl no more than once a week. Regarding the Panera on Route 44 across from Adams -- For some reason the display of their various pastries, cupcakes, cookies has become not only scarce but downright unappetizing. They are put out on a dirty looking counter and not on plates or cake servers or what-not. It looks not only like they're concerned about items not selling (because fewer than ever are displayed) but that they don't care at all about them appearing fresh and nicely displayed. Quite frankly, the manager and owner should now it looks really gross. It's been this way now for the past year. Only had the half soup and half sandwich special. It was around lunch time on a weekday. Although it was busy the service was great. Food arrived in a timely manner and was very fresh tasting. The first thing that I would like to say is I do the best I can with a neurological condition called, Asperger's syndrome that happens to be a mild, and oftentimes vilified, form of autism. I am able to perform a lot of life skills such as driving and holding down a job in the sensitive human service field. But at the same time it does not seem "mild" at times due to my problems that have not waned in intensity over the years. At work and while a guest at someone's house for the first time I succeed in going with the flow and putting these issues on a back-burner (as though there is a choice in the matter). But in my free time it is my right to choose venues that cater to my specific needs as well as advocate for my wants even if they seem ridiculous to others. One of my phobias is Styrofoam at restaurants and a fear of unnecessary waste. For example, if the Barista at Starbucks gives me food in a paper bag instead of "for here and on a plate" like I had asked for a minute earlier then I will nicely make a complaint. The specific reason that I choose Panera Bread aside from the good food is how they use washable plates and utensils. Well...when my bowl of French Onion soup was brought to the table, I noticed they failed to provide a soup spoon. After mentioning it to the woman at the counter, she eventually brought out a plastic soup spoon. After taking a deep breath, I asked to speak to the manager. His name was Louis, if memory serves me correctly. I told him about my phobia of disposable utensils and let him know that in the future, I would like to know if they are short on washable silverware and would not mind waiting for a while until clean silverware comes out of the dishwasher. He then brought out a larger soup spoon that was washable even after I had told him to not worry about it because I had already touched the plastic spoon. After taking another deep breath, I explained my issue was not whether it was plastic or metal, but the fact that I was using a spoon that had to be thrown in the garbage. (If they washed and reused the plastic utensils then I would happily use them). I then told him that I live with mild autism, and the avoidance of disposable items is part of who I am. After waiting for the inevitable eye roll or lip service that typically comes from frustrated food service workers tired of listening to "nonsensical" complaints, he was extremely cordial and sympathetic to my problem with the disposable silverware. I have very little tolerance for service workers who treat me with contempt because my attitude is that there are numerous people who could happily give me that abuse for free.; It is silly to have to pay for it. But this treatment was not existent at Panera's Bread and did not have to feel embarrassed advocating for my unique needs. He then said something along the lines of, "If there is anything else you need then do not hesitate to ask." I feel confident that this restaurant will accommodate my needs in the future and always be polite if something does not work for me. On a final note, I feel we often write reviews of places when they do something wrong and we feel compelled to voice our frustrations especially when they are not resolved. But it is also important to write about when one of them does something right especially on behalf of those with special needs! read more

The website is inviting and the food looks fresh and delicious but don't let it all fool you. I have ordered on line and in the store, what a mistake. My order is always incorrect or missing an item. The portions are very small but the price is way out of sync. It's very disappointing to spend so much money for food and not get what you pay for.
